She takes great joy in knowing that if she can help a single person with something, then she made their life easier, and the Galaxy a little better place. She isn't without her inner darkness. Bound to a chair for most of her life, she has watched others grow and thrive much more than her. He loves to study medical and cybernetic books, always looking to expand her knowledge in healing others, even if the chances of her being fully healed is next to none. Background Father • Jesse Sabaton Mother • Myu Sabaton Siblings • unknown Other Important Connections • Master Harper (deceased) Overall History • Reina was born on Coruscant to an office worker mother and soldier father. She was found out to be strong in the force early in her life and was given to the Jedi before she was one. She was with others around her age and grew up with them, learning to walk and talk until she and them were old enough to properly begin training. Before she was 6, Reina became incredibly sick, to the point where the Jedi healers were having trouble keeping her stable. Her fever was so high that it began to kill off her brain. Luckily, she didn't die, but as she began to recover, her motor skills didn't. She was unable to move or feel anything below her waist. No amount of healing, Kolto, Bacta, and even cybernetics would assist her, and the young girl was contained to a hoverchair. It was hard on the girl, but as she grew, she worked extra hard to keep up with others, but when it came to combat training, she could do nothing but token training, such as defense against ranged attacks. She constantly found herself in the Library reading up on medical books. She figured if she could study up, she could find a way to be able to walk again. This also led her to study cybernetics. At the age of 11 she went through the initiate trials along with everyone else, proving that she wasn't to be held back because she was in a chair. She passed somehow, using her brain and the force to help her where her body couldn't. For the longest time, it seemed as if she wouldn't be chosen as a Padawan by anyone, but an incredibly old Jedi Master, a Miraluka named Shanona, took her up. Shanona was a very talented Healer, and worked on Reina when she was sick, and felt drawn to the young girl. She wanted to pass on all her knowledge of healing to Reina so that Reina may be able to walk again in the future, no matter how long it took. For 4 years, Reina learned from Shanona, and were often on ships during the war to help out wounded soldiers, Jedi, and civilians as they were needed. When she was 15, Shanona died peacefully in her sleep, succumbing to old age. Reina, now without a Master, still worked her hardest to help out those in need, even though the war drew to a cold war. Reina was back at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. She was allowed to continue her study and practice at healing, but unless she was to get a master before becoming the proper age to become a Knight, she would be transferred to the Service Corps as a healer. She wanted to continue to prove herself just as helpful as anyone else, and resumed her studies, waiting for her next master, whoever they may be. |
