The three models had been made with painstaking detail. Each paving stone, every tree, and even the tiniest flowers in the landscaping were presented. They could be opened to reveal the bones of the structures, and how people might someday move through the buildings. Light fixtures, brought in with the displays, could be positioned to demonstrate how the buildings might capture the natural light and use it throughout the buildings. What was on display here was, make no mistake, a labor of love. Yugo Forrm, the architect behind the designs, stood aside, chin held high. The Togruta had been commissioned to design the latest of the Sith Empire's public works projects, and it seemed that he understood the importance of presenting only the very best.
"They are designed to take advantage of the most common building materials, with outer facades to boast local aesthetics." Forrm said as the Empress circled around the center-most model. "As you can see, they are each the same, structurally, but can be customized to fit their surroundings once complete." Forrm stepped forward and took hold of a portion of the center model. With a slight tug, he pulled the part free, and soon replaced it with another piece from one of the neighboring models. What resulted was a less than pleasing looking building, but the point was made. These designs would allow for universal implementation, with end results that would be unique to the communities the structures would be provided to.
"The simplicity is pleasing, as is the consideration to the communities. These three, they are for which worlds?"
"Eh... Jaemus, Agamar, and Bandomeer, your Radiance." Forrm replied, pointing to each as he named them. He then quickly replaced the portions of the models he'd moved and stepped back once again. "If the plans are approved, then further customization can be completed very quickly, and implementation can begin immediately."
"Very well. You may proceed."
"Thank you, your most worshipful highness." Forrm said, stepping forward and bowing so low that his montrals nearly brushed the floor. "These buildings will be a glorious testament to your benevolence and dedication to all peoples of the Sith Empire."
Renata stepped back toward the Togruta and bid him stand with a gentle gesture. Hey eyes, soft blue flecked with gold, captured his gaze as she smiled. "And you, Yugo Forrm, will be remembered for eons as the Empire's Grand Architect. Go now, build our future."
As Renata turned away, Forrm ordered his underlings with urgent whispers to clear the models away. Renata faced the large windows of the formal reception room as they scuttled about until they had gone. When the room was empty, she turned to a side board and poured herself a glass of wine, sipped it, and stepped over to the desk. Setting the glass down, Renata lifted a datapad and reviewed the statement that would soon be released regarding Forrm's project. The CommUnity Centers would be rolled out across many of the Sith worlds, providing public schools, recreation centers, and other public spaces in connected complexes that would bring the citizens together on their respective planets. For those traveling between worlds, the CommUnity Centers would provide a sense of familiarity, while introducing travelers to what makes each world unique. They would be a grand project indeed. Approving the statement, Renata sent it on to be broadcast to the masses and set the datapad back down on the desk.
A door opened, and through it came the slight figure of Haidy, one of Renata's servants. The woman bowed low and then informed Renata that her last scheduled appointment had arrived. It took a moment for the Empress to recall just what her last appointment was, but when the memory came to her, she nodded and dismissed Haidy to fetch the man. On the desk, Renata pressed a button and then moved to one of the couches at the center of the room, sitting herself down and taking another sip of her wine. If she could get this over with quickly, she might have just enough time to take a stroll through the garden before dinner.
