Name: Zog Kissnhizz
Race: Trandoshan
Age: 45
Height: 6'5
Weight: 350 pounds, fluctuating depending on how much he eats.
Birth place: The starcruiser Unfortunate Mistake, in space off Kashyyk.
Appearance:
Zog is a tall reptilian person, rather heavy-set.. nowadays, sometimes more in a 'fat' way than a 'muscular' one. His eyes are dark orange, and his scales are a shade that one might get by mixing mustard and spinach. He looks fairly imposing, and has enormous sharp teeth that stick out of his mouth. Also, he has noticeably long claws, which he keeps grown out to show that he can still fight. Not that it was ever in doubt.
He dresses in a businesslike way, as much as possible. The usual garb for lawyers doesn't work well on a reptilian physiology, so Zog mainly wears light tunics and trousers in various, normally fairly dark, colors. Despite this, Zog rarely seems to be underdressed. The claws on his feet, like all of his species, prevent him from wearing shoes.
He generally doesn't carry weapons, as he does little in the way of fighting. On occasion, if he makes forays into less civilized areas, Zog will carry a blaster rifle or a sword, in the Trandoshan style.
No matter where he is, Zog is never seen without his comlink. It is suspected that he hasn't been more than three feet away from the link since he made partner.
Zog's body language is generally fairly arrogant and imposing, as befits a reptile of his status, and occasionally slightly threatening. He hardly ever looks like he isn't bored.
Personality:
Zog is not, as one would expect, the nicest person. It isn't that he's evil, per say..but he is a Trandoshan, which means that he doesn't mind killing someone. Or, as it were, completely destroying every aspect of their lives. He's a devious sort, tending to spend his time contemplating the best way to turn every situation to his advantage. He thinks before he speaks, using every tool on hand to make sure he comes out on top.
However, he isn't exactly evil. He's certainly not a good person. It's just that he only cares about himself. He won't go out of his way to make someone's life miserable, but he doesn't donate to charity either. This means that he seems like a decent guy...he's polite enough and not overtly dangerous, which is unusual for his species..until one figures out that he really doesn't give a damn about anyone else.
Like all his ilk, Zog likes money, power, and influence, and like all his species, he also enjoys a good hunt and a chance to kill someone. These days he doesn't do so much in the way of actual murder. He instead (religion being important to him) earns his jugganath points by collecting scraps of newsvids detailing his conquests in law and politics. He is quite fond of these.
Occupation: Zog is a lawyer. He used to be a bounty hunter.
Rank: He made partner a few years ago. Zog works for Coruscant's "Lieken & T'varyn" law firm. He is considering starting his own firm in the near future. He mostly works as a prosecution attorney.
Bio:
Zog's parents, like most Trandoshans, were bounty hunters. That was why he was born (which means, he insists, that it was where his egg was laid) on their ship, Unfortunate Mistake, as his parents approached Kashyyk on their search for the (fairly well) infamous slaver Markus Ditch. This was considered a good sign, suggesting that he was meant to be a famous bounty hunter. His parents were thrilled.
He hatched on the ship, while it was landed on Trandosha. His parents hadn't managed to find Markus Ditch. Not alive, anyway. The slaver apparently commited suicide before anyone could find him. This was considered a fairly bad omen.
Several years after he was born, a Jedi appeared looking for a Force-sensitive child. At the time Zog and his parents were hiding out on the Smuggler's Moon, due to the fact that his father had managed to offend an important senator by killing the senator's cousin. Apparently, the Jedi hadn't been informed that Zog was a Trandoshan, and had to "get lunch and think about whether or not to take him to the Temple." He never came back.
Zog lived a cheerfully violent life as a hatchling, traveling around the galaxy with his mother and father hunting fugitives. He killed his first sentient being at the age of fifteen. Unfortunately, it was a Sloogarian. This did not get him much reknown. Also, although Zog was reasonaby decent and shooting and showed some promise with bladed weapons, he was noteably terrible at hand-to-hand combat, and, also, his interest in chasing down individuals for money was somewhat limited. He instead tended to read alot. Not that he didn't enjoy killing people, but not as much as other Trandoshans. His parents were worried.
Two years after that his father was killed when his mother took out a bounty that had been on his head ever since he killed the Senator's cousin. Zog wasn't sure whether he should take revenge on his mother, kill the senator, or just shrug and let it go. This worried him a great deal, so he decided he'd have to go to law school and figure it out.
Apparently, he couldn't just go. He needed a different degree first. He couldn't afford this. Zog took out various minor bounties, made barely enough for a few semesters at Nar Shaddaa's least impressive college, and for a while drifted about, unsure what to do.
Then a huge bounty came up..all the credits he needed for the rest of his life. It meant he'd have to track down and kill a Sith apprentice, but, on the other hand, he could then quit chasing petty criminals and people's minor grudges. Zog took it. Nobody else did, and, if Zog was older, he'd probably have taken that as a warning sign.
He spent several standard months trying to track down this Sith, who moved around so much that Zog's contacts could never keep up with her. Eventually he decided the best thing would be to hire someone to sabotage her ship. This he did, which used up all his money and stranded himself (and the Sith) on a backwater planet nobody had ever heard of. He thinks it was called Tattooine.
Zog then set up an ambush. He first "persuaded" a group of the local barbarians to attack the Sith in a mob. None of them were really strong enough to kill her, but he figured having a bunch of howling monstrosities try to kill you with sticks would be tiring, at least. Eventually, some kind of second sense told him that his target was tiring a bit. He shot at her for a while, then tried a frontal attack.
This worked about as well as one might expect. Zog got beat up, lost an arm (which grew back eventually), and didn't really do any damage to the Sith. However, he'd previously decided that killing the his target was unimportant. He was really only interested in getting her lightsaber. He got close enough to grab it and run, made a narrow escape to the planet's only spaceport, spent his last few credits to get off the planet, and ended up back on Nar Shaddaa.
He collected the bounty..the Sith's lightsaber was deemed a reasonable proof of death..and dissapeared himself to Coruscant. Here he finished a degree in Communications, went to the Coruscant School of Law, and managed to secure an internment at a fairly important law firm.
He worked for this firm for ten years or so, made partner at the age of forty, and started looking around for bigger things to get into...
Zog became reasonably famous during this time, working for a crime syndicate in the case Black Sun vs. Coruscant and an assortment of high-profile murder and divorce cases.
