New RP Project

So now that we've managed to save our little Star Wars RP here from almost certain death, and since there's been a bit of talk about new Roleplaying frontiers, I think that the time has come for us to branch out and create a new RP, a sister site.

Now, I've tried this about four times before, but now I think we can do it.

Little you should know about the Poll before deciding:

Freeform means that there is no canon. This would most likely be a totally original storyline.

Canon means that there is a canon storyline somewhere for us to base things off. For instance, this site IS a canon RP, because it is based off of a canon story.

Since we've got 4 votes, I'm going to start a discussion to set this up. Heck, who knows, maybe if this works out, we can make a third one, and we can start our own Network of RP sites.

I'd prefer Canon Fantasy... It's not like this forum has a lot of active members. Besides, in free form people will mostly wonder off on their own and mess up the role play... But, if we do it in a canon form, we could make it a huge, epic style of thing with many NPCs and the like, following completely thought storyline, rather than making different storylines for everybody.

It's just my opinion, though...

In a freeform we can create our own storyline. A new world, a new plot, characters, etc. We won't all be running around with our heads cut off, we'd just not be running off of any cannon story.

actually, we made a freeform fantasy.

And that is EXACTLY what happened.

Which is why there needs to be some canon, even if only to describe the possibilities. A databank, if you will

I say brainstorm, or make some suggestions for our RP setting.

Create a world with a cool name. Mar Ranka or something like that

uh make various and differing areas to play in. Forests, deserts, jungles, plains, etc etc. Set up what kinds of characters you can be, make spells etc. Basically how this site was set up, only Fantasy

Then create a Storyline. Perhaps an evil warlord has taken control of the land, and a band of rough and tough freedom fighters are constantly battling him. Or maybe the land is plunged into chaos, with various warlords fighting for power and hundreds of different fiefdoms. (Opens things up to players having influential roles, having armies, etc.)

Something cool like that, in a midevil/fantasy setting

Probably something else... Like, a different dimension of Earth. And, that this dimension could still be in the medieval ages of the world. That's just the idea of the world...

For the setting it could be some sort of rebellion... A la Star Wars...

How about... Its the bronze age, and we all live on the back of an enormous space turtle. Our arch nemesis is the cosmic cow, and we fear the giant cow, because it licks the back of the turtle we live on...
