Another Star Wars RP

Well, I've been reading some of the books in the new post-OT EU series Legacy of the Force, and I was thinking. Wouldn't be awesome to also be able to RP in that era?

It's set about forty years after the Battle of Yavin. I could mirror what's happening now in the series, or start there and go off on it's own.

It would be more than just playing around in the EU. the New Jedi Order, Mon Cal Crusers, Star Destroyers, ships and craft and technology that we actually know well and are well documented enough to bring up with a quick search. And era we all know in love, the stuff we fell in love with when we first watched Star Wars.

At the moment it's just an idea, I haven't got any details or anything figured out yet, but I was wanting to see what you all thought.

If you want to try it, go ahead. But what's the story? How far in the future is it (keep in mind that we have to avoid the Swarm Wars, the Yuuuuuuzhan Vong, and the storyline from Prime.) What's going on? We need a storyline.

well, the Legacy of the Force series takes place about two years after the Swarm War, and extends for another three I think. It's not finished yet.

What was the plot from Prime? I never RPed on that site. Would we really have to avoid it's plot? It's non-cannonical and not associated as much with it.

I was thinking that it would be something set right after the Legacy of the Force. PErhaps starting right where the last novel in the series left off, with the site following the series. This wouldn't be too horrible, as a lot of extra stuff can be fitted into a large galaxy consumed by civil war. The only thing is that no one could play the leaders of the sides, since the novels cover those.

well, technically, we do observe the plot from Prime here as being a true future (rare example: Axelpro's characer, Adrian Yoley, is the ancestor of the jedi he played on Prime, Dak Yoley.)

And that's much further than swarm wars. We're talking a thousand years or so later. There's space in between, but I meant more along the lines of Prime's backstory.


Though, to be fair, who cares, right? Nobody plays on Prime anymore, and there are thousands of discontinuities on this site alone. Go ahead. I'll pledge my support, though I can't devote as much time as I can here.

Site is actually most of the way done, just a few more planets to add, threads to transfer over, etc. and it'll be good to go.

It would be awesome to get a few people to come over for a bit to lend a hand.
