Lesson: Don't play with fire.

Alright. Here's the story.

I was at home, bored like normal, when all of the sudden I saw my lighter. I thought about how everyone I see on the streets come up to me with a lighter trying to show me this awesome trick: spray some butane in their mouth, or in their cupped hand, then light it on fire.

Whoopdee frikkin do, eh. You've prolly seen in one hundred and eighty times like I have.

So I was sitting there, and I decided to do mankind a favor by inventing a new strret pyro trick, and eventualyl i came up with a bottle, in which i sprayed some sort of household cleaner/spray cologne and lit it on fire. it all didn't catch on fire at once, so I squeezed the bottle, and a big fireball shot out.

then what I did was take the lighter itself, and sprayed some of the butane in there (my lighter is modded to make a really large flame, expending alot of butane in a short amount of time). Being the idiot that i am, i lit the butane in the bottle while my hand was near the mouth. Needless to say, all the butane lit at one, creating a sort of jet engine effect where flames shot out the mouth, burning a good portion of my hand in the process, complete with singed flesh and loss of feeling.

An you guys upon reading this are like "Great. This site is moderated by an absolute retard with a pack of matches and too much time on his hands."

Heck no! I am still going to endanger myself and my family and friends for the sake of amusing myself using mans oldest invention!

Note to self: If Xao ever says "Watch this", duck and cover. And find an asbestos suit before-hand. And bring a fire-extinguisher.

Why? So the guy behind me can get burned. So my computer doesn't get set on fire. And because the right year fire-extinguishers make great mini-bombs.

Well sure, if you can find any willing to get close enough to me to do that.

Within 6 hours blisters formed over the burnt areas, with one particularly large one on the lower left half of my middle finger. I went to sleep with the pain of a burnt hand, and unlike most burns I get, the pain did not continue over to the next day. Still no feeling on the burnt areas, but there is no loss of movement.

Way to go Xaojii. I learned my lesson about fire when the lamp that was in the room I was in caught on fire. Actually it was the cord on-off switch, but it was near other stuff. Thankfully it went out before it did anything horrid.

But I wouldn't actually set myself on fire like that. I hope you've learned your lesson...take it outside and THEN set yourself on fire.

If you look closely at my left hand, there's no finger...prints. nevermind they grew back finally. But for several years I didn't have any.

Lets just say between myself a cigerette lighter and boredom...I set many things on fire. Including myself.

Anyway, yeah Xao that sounds serious. You may have just burned off the nerve endings in your hand. Its a very difficult thing to do, so I would get the hand checked out. I'd also suggest lots of salve and if the doctor you see says you need a wrap, don't argue with them. Get a wrap.

Month after report: Burns, surprisingly minimum despite initial self-examination. Feeling restored, blisters disappeared, Everything has returned back to normal, except for this wicked half-moon shaped scar just below my thumb. It looks awesome. I have deemed the experiment only a half success due to the fact that I am only doing the same thing, but without the use of my own body as a fuel containment vessel (cupped hand, mouth).

I will notify everyone if I get seriously burned on my next street pyrotechnical experiment.

You should look for a local troop of fire dancers man, they have good times. Light stuff on fire and juggle them, spit fire, twirl them fast, and occasionally light themselves on fire, or smack themselves in the nuts... if your into that sorta thing.

I did something similar a few years ago involving gasolene and a lighter. Long story short, blew myself and a couple of my buddies up and inhaled at the same time, haven't been able to smell anything since .
