The Story Behind: Cato Neimoidia
This Purse world of Neimoidia is the oldest Neimoidian settlement out of Neimoidia Pure. Here is where only the richest Neimoidians may live, and so it is here where most decisions are unofficially made. The dangerous cliffs are lined with massive vaults for valuables, protected both by the terrain and by the genius security systems of the paranoid clients. They are often frequented by thieves to test their abilities, and of course for the goods within the vaults. The society is built along the massive stone arches of the world, entire cities built on massive bridges from arch to arch.
This is a world of luxury, with palaces and banks lining these bridges. And, as always, where there is money, there is somebody who wants that money for themselves. In this case, three people want that money. The Republic, who originally funded the colonization of Cato Neimoidia, has various politicians monitoring the planet’s exports and imports, trying to make sure that the Republic gets what was agreed upon. The Banking Clan from Muunilist, spearheading the Sith Empire, has claims in every single vault on the planet, and so monitors very closely also, but moreso for the sake of monitoring the Republic forces. And what kind of world would it be without an underworld? A small group of Hutts live on Cato Neimoidia, bribing the Republic and Sith to allow them to carry out their intimidating business with the Niemoidians.
If ever there was a powder keg in the galaxy, it was on Cato Neimoidia.
