Sion scoffed at Koeing and followed reluctantly. He did not trust this newcomer in the least, and he had no Idea why Var did so quickly.Either way it did not matter, the only thing that mattered was the mission, and the sooner that it was complete, the better it would be for all of them. How would this play out?

He sighed at Sions' reaction but just continued on, the trek to the temple would take a few hours so he hoped Sion was ready for it and didn't complain too much. He noted all of their positions and began guiding them across the frozen planet to the temple in which the necklace should be located.
"Sion, when we get to the temple you are on point, i will ask you to scout the temple if you need help you can comm us and i'll send someone. Is that clear?" He asked his voice flat, he honestly didn't care if Sion wanted to or not. Koeing laughed to himself and looked around at their surroundings it reminded him of Korriban or Tattooine only frozen over. Smiling he remembered Tatooine and his run in with the Krayt dragon that nearly cost him his life.
He reminisced for a while as they walked along until he remembered there were others in his company and so he decided he would attempt conversation. "So Sion, what made you join the Sith and at your age? I wonder, did the Jedi not find you first? He asked but didn't really care, it was simply to make the time pass as they had a little while left before they got to the temple.
After the hours had passed they finally arrived at the temple, he looked it over and sighed. The temple has eroded with time, it's in quite bad shape and he hoped it would not fall on their heads. The entrance directly in front of them seemed sealed but it wasn't, time had eroded away the locks partially so when Koeing pressed his hand on the door it took a bit of pressure to slide it open. As soon as the door opened Koeings' senses were on alert, he didn't like the look of the temple and anything could go wrong.
"Alright Sion you first, make sure the initial first few chambers are clear, once they are comm to us and let us know. If anything happens you cannot handle comm and we'll come help. For now it's just better if all do not run in to a trap." He nodded to Sion for him to proceed.

Var smirked a little. Sion was being used as cannon fodder, and everyone knew it. Of course the little bastard was probably clueless. Maybe he even thought Koeing was offering him a prestigious assignment based on skill. As if.
She examined the nails on one hand idly while speaking out of her smirk, without even looking at the human. "You heard him, get going oh fearless one." Her voice was sardonic to the point it was amusing for others as well.
Really, she had far more interest in the others than in the necklace anyway. A part of her still believed that it was a wild bantha chase, crafted deliberately to get them killed. But now she was reasonably confident she was exempt from any plot. If Koeing did turn on the others, Var would fight at his side. And maybe get the opportunity to gut Sion like an eel if he didn't kill himself doing something idiotic.
And even if no deceit was planned, she'd still met a powerful ally. And a potential master if the stars aligned in her favor.

Doviculous trudged through the snowy forest, following the other three, plus the feline towards the large ominous ruined temple in the distance. He wasn't all interested in the temple itself, but at what other treasures the temple could hold besides the necklace. Oh the secrets he could delve into inside those hallowed depths. Perhaps a weapon, or maybe a holocron revealing ancient knowledge, like on saber forms, or force abilities. He started to get giddy, but quickly forced it down, he shouldn't get overexcited, the possibilities of there being nothing inside that temple were great.
The trio arrived at the ruined entrance of the great temple. Sion was 'elected' to be the fool- err I mean valuable member of the team that is brave enough to delve firsthand into the possibly unstable temple. Doviculous strode over to Koe, and clamped his taloned over his right shoulder. He then whispered You think Sion will amount to anything? If he got more training he might, but that hotheaded attitude will get him killed

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...
Doneeda had been busy for the past few hours. She'd been granted access to the Sith Temple's repair bays, and whatever spares they had.
After going through the manifest, she'd come across three pieces of very intriguing equipment. A Military-Grade Shield generator, Military Grade sensor package, and Military Grade Jammer. All of which were resting comfortably in the cargo hold at the moment.
She was currently hanging upside-down by her legs in the bowels of the ship, doing the final adjustments to the magnetic confinement systems on the right engines. The ship wasn't easy to work on, that was for sure. It wasn't designed with ease of access in mind, most freighters weren't, all the ships drive components were crammed into the top, rear half. Making things tight at best.
She tapped the last few milimeters on the ring, and checked the pad. Everything was in order, she thought, clicking the "lock" button on the engine and hearing a dull * THUD * as the rings sinched to the housing.
Donnie hoisted herself up from her inverted perch, heading toward the cargo bay. She'd need to remove the old shield system, install and align the new one, along with the sensor and jammer packages.
The good news was the hyperdrive was down to a 4.5 rating, the structural integrity field was back up and running properly, eliminating the groans and creeks. The Repulsor system was also properly aligned, meaning the ship wouldn't lurch and jerk anymore. All in all, she was making good progress.
The exterior still looked like a dogs breakfast, but that wasn't a big deal to her. The worse it looked, the less suspected they'd be if the freighter ever got used again. Donnie imagined the Sith would appreciate the upgrades, she thought, as the Twi'lek maneuvered the pallet mover's forks under the one containing the jammer and heading for the sensor compartment elevator, used to lift pallets to the small compartment below the cockpit where the new sensors and jammer would live.

Sion payed no mind to the caustic disrespect spouting from the other members of the group as they trekked through the cold forest. He was to take point when they came upon the temple, to scout ahead. No doubt he was being used as bait by Koeing, but for what?
Sion ignored the newcomers' questions about his past, and simply kept moving along with the squad.
When they finally arrived at the temple, Sion took a look at it and scoffed. This place was a dump. Sion sighed and nodded as Koeing gave him his instructions, and he walked through the door. Everything looked so old and... Green.. He scouted about the first chamber, and there was nothing inside.
Moving on to the second chamber, he cautiously took a look around. He could see nothing, but for some reason it was colder in this chamber than in the previous one.
Nothing to report, Sion said into the comlink on his chest, and he tucked it away in his pocket as he moved to the next room.
The third room was relatively similar to the other chambers. Plant life had overtaken it just as it had the other rooms. But something was different about this one, he had no idea why, but he had the feeling that... He was being watched.. Regardless, he finished his scan and began walking back.
Sion took out his comlink again and clicked it on. I have finished my search, it seems that the temple is empty. He placed the comlink back into his pocket, looking about as he walked back, there was something in here.. But what?

While they waited for Sion to clear the temple Koeing took this time to probe at Varullas' mind with his, he reached out through the force and applied pressure onto her attempting to break her defenses, it wasn't malicious but simply something to pass the time and a test of sorts to see if she could repel it. Sion came through clear over the com multiple times and he somewhat ignored the messages as it was clear there was no panic in his voice.
Finally the last message came through, it was clear Sion said. If it was true or not was to be seen. Koeing reached out through the force to his companion Kayn. Stay here and make sure no one enters or leaves once we're inside. Kayn simply growled his answer and shifted to sit in front of the door.
At that Koeing nodded to the others. "Ladies first." He motioned with his hand for the Devaronian and Varulla to enter first. He had no intention of walking in to a trap if there happened to be one. He put on a fake smile and waited for them to enter then he followed behind.

The cool stagnant air of the decrepid temple clung to the body intrusively, frosting with each breath let out, clouds of dust rising from the soft steps of the young, nearly middle aged man walking through the ruined passages, shifting slightly to make it through tight spaces, taking care to walk in the dark, making not a sound, not out of fear, but of caution.
One wrong move, one over loud noise could spell death for him or worse, ruin his search, which was so close to moving one step nearer to finished. Stopping mid-stride the man's head tilted to the side as he played down his sensitivity to the force, he could feel something, hear someone approaching the entrance of the temple. Trapped! Lovely. A scowl flashed across his features for a mere second before they fell into concentrated disinterest.
Backing slowly from the room he could see just ahead the darkly clothed man turned on his heel, something just managable in the tight space he was in and marched quickly from his destination, using as little of the force as he could to push the dust motes back to their previous locations, leaving not a trace of his passing.
As he neared the front of the temple he could feel the sensitivity of the other within the temple and others outside. It was difficult to tell with his wanting to remain hidden but from what little he could tell, two were of little threat on their own. The third, a much stronger and darker presence, was on a much higher level which he instantly turned his attention from that third, powerful force, whom ever it was they it would only bring their attention to him should he try to look closer, and to gain the attention of that one would be foolish.
Before the man could move further than the main chamber of the temple the man turned to the nearest wall and devoted a trickle of his force to the task of climbing the wall, finding the darkest, deepest corner he could the man put himself into it and wrapped himself in darkenss, placing his feet and hands in the best positions he could whilst making sure his clothing wouldn't give his presence away. Waiting, listening he watched the young man, a teenager at that, walk into the room. The feel and look of the young man screamed that of a sith or dark jedi. The teenager spoke into a comm he had shortly. A scout and likely bait, to set off any trap. Clueless.
He watched the man with little interest other than watching his movement. This one one was a quick study, angry and prone to intence aggression. Possibly to the point of blindly striking, not always an issue but there is that saying about the best not fearing the next most, but the worse for he knows not what the fool will do next- Still this one seemed predictable enough, and the short, clipped reports spoke volumes of this group, they were on some form of mission it seemed, they were barely organized and they were coming into the temple. Lovely.

Var felt the slight touch of Koeing on her mind, testing her defenses. It gave her a unique opportunity to practice her best defense: deception. The best way to defend was to give ground in one place to distract from a greater weakness.
She hid her worst insecurities. Jarvik. Her childhood. Her victimization. And of course her plots and strategies remained guarded. But she did 'let him in.' She passively allowed her defenses to crumble in one area. And that was the recent past. She let him see into the past weeks with only a token of resistance, and even the past year among the Sith.
It was sleight of hand. By giving up something trivial she allowed her true secrets to remain unchallenged and her defenses untested. Koeing would underestimate her in at least one respect now, assuming her mental blocks were all of the same strength. Or at least he would, if the plan was successful.
She'd reveal something of her past and her vulnerabilities. Possibly. Probably. But it would be on her terms and the setting of her choice. And marching into an unexplored temple was not the right setting. If Koeing returned with them, then maybe that would be the perfect time. To sit alone and reveal her secrets she would need that privacy.
And to be honest, she wanted to reveal them. A Mona Lisa smile appeared on her face as the only outward manifestation of her simultaneous desire to share and refusal to be probed.
When Koeing motioned them to enter, Var glanced at Doviculous first. It made a lot more sense for the walking tank to enter before the graceful Twi'lek. So with a twisted grin she gestured to the door with her head. "Age before beauty."

Strength before weakness, have fun in the cold. He waved his hand at them scornfully, as he suddenly strode towards the entrance. Once inside he began to branch out with the force, seeking for any weaknesses in the walls in the initial chambers, aha, here's one he quickly strode to this large crack in the floor inside the second chamber, running his hands along it's edges. He smiled evilly, Time to go on my own He summoned the force into his right hand, and force punched the crack, causing a small section of the room to fall down into the lower levels.
With a pathway cleared, Doviculous laughed evilly, and leaped down into the hole, falling into another chamber. He surveyed his surroundings, and found two hallways which led deeper into the temple. He smiled and sprinted into the hallway, not knowing of the guardians that lay within.

Sion regrouped with Koeing and Var just as Dov left to further scout the temple. Sion smirked, Dov was just as much blinded to the situation as Sion was, only Dov isn't taking caution. He is going deeper into the temple, Where hidden dangers could lurk around every corner.
And then there was the stalker. He had noticed the man sneaking about since he entered the third chamber. But why alert his cohorts? It would be much more fun just to watch the battle play out. Koeing, Var, neither could be trusted anymore, As if Koeing were to be trusted in the first place. But he wondered what exactly this person who seemed to be hiding from them wanted? It was unusual, but intriguing none the less.
So he waited. He waited, standing next to Koeing yet slightly back from him. He was eager to learn the game of their stalker.

He could feel the slight shift in the defenses of her mind, he knew something was wrong with what information he did receive however he didn't wish to push further it could cause problems for both of them. He complimented her on the deception she provided for him, he gained some knowledge however she was able to keep her deepest secrets just that, secret. A smile came to his lips as he stared into her eyes. "Well done."
Koeing looked about the temple taking in the decrepit scene, it was at that moment the Devaronian took it upon himself to run off, smash a hole in the floor and disappear. He reached out to Varullas' mind sending a message to her. Why must they do this? Let's just find this necklace and leave, yes? He nodded to her and walked to the back of the temple, a door sealed off a passage down into the depths of the temple where the Devaronian apparently went.
Sighing Koeing reached out with the force and enveloped the door, he applied pressure to it, slowly increasing causing the door to creak as it's force open. The electronic locks groan with the pressure and soon break allowing the door to slide open. Looking pleased with his work Koeing began to descend the stairs into the depths. "Come Varulla."
Suddenly a loud crash is heard from the depths, the area in which the Devaronian had smashed into suffered structural damage and partially caved in leaving him trapped, he'd have to find a way out. He would be able to hear the scrapes of claws on the floor, creatures were down there with him, what however is a mystery.

"Well done."
Varulla'aba met Koeing's eyes and a smile formed on her own lips. She replied mentally as well, enjoying their covert half-conversations. You noticed then? I must need practice... She projected, a playful and bantering tone to her thoughts.
Why must they do this? Let's just find this necklace and leave, yes?
Var nodded subtly, a gesture that would be lost on Sion but confirmed Koeing's suggestion perfectly. She was beginning to appreciate this mental contact. It was a private conversation, and she'd been 'selected' by the most powerful in the group as an ally at least. And perhaps more, the Force subtly hinted to the Twi'lek that she was about to get a new master.
And she hadn't even needed to kill anyone for the honor.
"Come Varulla."
"Yes..." Master. She finished mentally, savoring the word. It was almost avarice, but she lusted after it. It was more than a desire, it was destiny.
Without any words being exchanged, the Twi'lek Sith Initiate was certain she'd just found the fourth person she would call 'master' in her life. And this was the only one she would willingly give that honorific to.

Sion warily followed the two at a distance. Var was now completely tantalized by him.. Just when he thought he could trust her. He walked down the steps and heard a large crashing noise from deeper in the temple. He hoped so very much that the sounds he had just heard were parts of the temple falling down on the Devaronian, resulting in Doviculous' death. He really did.

Having nearly lost his footing soon after getting into place the man had winced slightly at the simple mistake as he quickly regained his hold. Too late though as he could instantly tell the scout had detected him, though he knew not why the alarm hadn't been risen.
His ability to conceal his presence was little and almost abysmal, a power in which he had only recently begun to explore, and so the man readied himself to lunge out and make for an escape when it happened, a deep rumble, a shaking of the temple. The fool who had charged in after the scout had called clear through the comms appeared to have hit something in this structurally unsound building.
The timing couldn't have been better, the whole group was distracted and the man now had a straight shot for the weaker ones. Still if he engaged it would prove a very bad affair of the strongest of the trio decided to step in. From the looks of things, the strongest was obviously male and had a very human appearance. Something told him he wasn't quite human but the man couldn't put his finger on what.
Building the force within him quickly the man repositioned himself just slightly and gave a great push with his legs, using the force to propel him on his desired path with speed. His facade was shattered now, no doubt the strongest would instantly pick up on what was happening, maybe the others as well but it was doubtful. Even if they did there was little time to act.
Nearing his target the man pulled his hands back and shot them forward sending a pulse of the force at the target, the scout whom had wondered in and detected him, and hoped he hit that one hard enough to incapacitate them.
Before hitting the ground the man twisted, catching an upraised bit of floor, little more than a bit of stone now, letting momentum do the rest, flipping slightly to land on his feet as he let go of the floor, both hands up and ready, feet spread.

Var jerked her head rapidly, following the movement in the corner of her eye. Somehow she hadn't sensed the danger, the unknown person. She had been at ease one minute, and the very next she had noticed Sion flying across the room.
The part of her that thrived on being wry and witty insisted that anyone who would force push the human harshly couldn't be so bad. But that part barely registered, instead her combat instincts kicked in.
Even as the stranger was dramatically making an impressive acrobatic landing, the Twi'lek was drawing and activating her lightsaber. By the time time the man had regained his footing, she held her red blade aloft in a back-handed starting stance, angled behind and above her. From that position she was poised to deliver a crippling back-handed blow, or to deflect various kinds of threats.
Her almost-surprising lack of aggression played a useful role. She waited more passively, her natural wariness making her reluctant to charge into battle against an unknown adversary. Some things she still remembered from being a Jedi, and discretion in new situations was one of them. Var wasn't content to just be 'some dumb Sith.' She wouldn't fall into that category.

Doviculous was a beast. When the first of the creatures arrived through a large circular shaft in the center of the large antechamber, Doviculous used his force powers to crush, or slam them against the wall. When the tide of creatures stopped, Doviculous quickly blew another hole in the temple wall, sending a small shockwave throughout the structure, causing the first entrance chamber to collapse.
Doviculous was about to step through the hole, when suddenly one of the beasts attacked him from behind, knocking him into a weak spot in the floor, causing him and the beast to fall into a lower, sewer like tunnel. Doviculous ignited his lightsaber, and quickly decapitated his foe. Damn, these things are tenacious He turned to continue to move onward, but he heard something that made him smirk. It was the sound of dozens of claws, scratching against the walls, upward through the temple, towards his supposed comrades.

It Begins. A feeling shot through Koeing he hadn't felt in a while, Adrenaline. He grinned allowing his elongated canines to hang over his bottom lip, he watched Sion get force pushed, his fate unknown to Koeing. He was focused solely on the being before them, the one Varulla decided to become threatened by and activate her lightsaber for. He reached out with his mind to Varulla and projected his thoughts in to her mind.
Go, down into the depths, the largest chamber holds the necklace. The devaronian will be down there, however be safe...Creatures dwell here. Sion cannot take this Dark Jedi, i'll stay here to help. Go.
He commanded her through the force to get his point across, she would feel a weight press down on her almost compelling her to leave. He wanted the mission complete and Varulla in the least amount of danger possible, a potential student dying on him now was not the best of ideas.
A growl welled up inside of Koeing's chest and he allowed the force to begin coalescing around his body shooting outward to find cracks in the surface of the stone around him. He found one on the floor, focusing on it he lifted a decent sized chunk of stone out of the foundation. Held in the air by the force Koeing spun around lifting his right leg in a swift kick, the force shot out from the end of his leg and collided with the stone splitting it in two and sending it for the Dark Jedi.
It was a distraction, this would hopefully give Koeing the time to shift his focus to Sion. He motioned for the young Sith to run to him or get to him in any way he possibly could. However if he couldn't Koeing was prepared to yank him away from the Dark Jedi using the force. He stood now, still and silent, his dark eyes focused on the one before him, he awaited his opponents retaliation and would respond in kind. The thrill of a fight, it had eluded him for so long he would make this last, enjoy and drink every second of the excitement.

Sion was thrown against the wall by the assailant, luckily enough for Sion, he was prepared and wasn't badly injured. When Koeing motioned for Sion to come to him, he decided to trust the man, for now, and headed towards him. As he moved he quickly produced his lightsaber from his belt, and ignited it, standing in a Soresu stance next to Koeing.
What now? Said Sion cockily to Koeing as he looked at the attacker, studying him. He was also planning, scanning the room through his peripheral vision.

Varulla'aba obeyed. Obedience was a mixed trait in the Twi'lek Sith. Sometimes she could be steadfastly loyal to commands and be trusted to carry out tasks. But other times she was defiant, fiery, and completely untrustworthy. She was a gamble: she'd learned unpredictability and become comfortable with it.
Today she had chosen obedience. It fell to her interests. She wasn't above running from a fight, but it was easier if she could avoid one. And most of all, she wanted to. Obeying Koeing felt... right.
She deactivated her lightsaber, but kept it in hand as she backtracked swiftly to the hole the Devaronian had made. In a quick and primitive Ataru jump, she leaped through and rolled back into a guarded position as she oriented herself. She could sense Dov ahead of her, and vaguely something else. Probably the 'creatures' she'd just been warned of.
Var sprinted along the stone floor, her boots echoing and announcing her impending presence. For the moment at least it would be easier to have Dov alive as a tool. His raw power would be useful against whatever lurked in the shadows, and they'd both do better fighting back-to-back.
She felt a slight rumble, and turned the corner to see a large pile of rubble blocking her way forward. Dov's fighting had succeeded in breaking a surprising amount of structure, and it had resulted in cutting him off. Quickly Var summed up her options. Digging through was out. At best, it would take too long. At worst, she'd provoke further collapses. She had to find some sort of way around. Her mind flashed back to the turns she'd made and she compared the floor plan with the Sith temples on Korriban. Odds are they were similar. And if they were, backtracking and taking a side corridor could still take her to the necklace. But it would be alone.
She'd come into the Galaxy alone, and if she died she'd be leaving it alone too. She certainly had experience enough at being an army of one to fight well. Her hand tightened on her lightsaber and she started to backtrack, working to find a way to the main chamber.
