Joel is a born and raised Mandalorian. In 3633 BBY, Joel was born on Keldabe, Mandalore. He grew up as all Mandalorians did, training. His parents started him at age 8 as all do . Even early on, it was obvious that he was horrible at unarmed combat, but he was an exemplary pilot and engineer. At the age of 13, Joel took and passed his verd'goten or right of passage. He spent the next few years as a weapon smith. He crafted his own Armor and weapon (the P-049) during those years.
Mercenary (3614 BBY- 3610 BBY)
At age 19, he joined the a Mandalorian mercenary fleet. He served as a pilot in a Davaab-type Starfighter. Later he served as a Bridge office onboard a Prudii-class heavy cruiser. Joel got to Lieutenant before he left the ranks.
Engineer and Art’eak Yards (3609 BBY- 3601 BBY)
A MT-0100 ‘Haven-class Medium Transport’ over Eretillian Designed by Art’eak Yards
After leaving the ‘service’, Joel joined Mandal Motors Corp. He started as low level engineer but quickly moved up. He eventually was one of the key designers in several starships. He had built up a formidable amount of credits by 3604 BBY. The credits where enough to start his own ship yards. He setup a shipyard/R&D station over a planet called Eretillian. The first craft to come off of line was the MT-0100 ‘Haven-class Medium Transport’. It has the first engines that gave off a purple flare as oppose to the normal blue. After the Yards were up and running and in between design contracts, Joel cruses the galaxy picking up any job that requires a Mandalorian.
