Age: 24
Height:1.7 meters
Weight:175
Appearance: Qol's skin is dark for his race, a shade of blue uncommon for nautolans. He has a jagged horizontal scar across his right cheek. He typically wears almost all black clothing. The harsh lessons imparted on him by his master have led Qol to have complete and utter contempt for any followers of the light side of the force. He hates every sentient creature and the only time he is truly happy is when he is watching someone else suffer. He outwardly seems happy most of the time, constantly smiling and laughing, but his inner thoughts are those of a sadistic, murderous maniac.
Birth place: Nimbus research station, deep space.
Faction: Dark Jedi
Rank: Marauder
Bio:
Qol was born to a pair of scientists on a secret research station in deep space, called the Nimbus. Dev and Kaya Kelevra were aboard the Nimbus conducting secret research for Holton Arms Co, designing a new class of cloaked freighter, more powerful weaponry, and jamming systems for running bloackdes.
When Qol was three years old the station was attacked by pirates. His parents attempted to flee in an escape pod but his mother Kaya was killed before they could escape. The pod crashed landed on the dessert world of Ossus and Kol's father was seriously injured while trying to shield Qol from harm.
A twisted ld creature called Typhus was living in a cave nearby meditating in seclusion. The old dark jedi was the former leader of a dark side cult. He was realing from his defeat at the hands of his rival, Karrion, attempting to expand his powers and perhaps find a way to defeat his enemy in one of the several sith holocrons he possessed. He chose Ossus because of it's relative seclusion and its strong connection to the force. Though it was traditionally a world of Jedi he was able to warp the force around him and twist it to his will. Typhus watched the ship crash and sensed a force sensitive onboard. He made his way to the crash site and found Dev Kelevra bleeding to death with his unconcious son in his arms. Typhus saw his opportunity and seized it. He finished off the mortally wounded Dev and took the unconcious Qol back to his cave. He intended to train Qol and eventually use his apprentice to help him defeat his rival, Karrion.
Typhus immediately began to teach his young apprentice in the ways of the dark side. Qol was quickly influenced by the powerful dark presence of his master and grew to become sadistic and selfish.
About a year later a tribe of Ysanna stumbled upon Typhus' cave. The Dark jedi master slaughtered most of the tribe as a delighted Qol watched an laughed in delight. When the battle was over 24 Ysanna warriors were slain, leaving one scared 6-year-old named Batos the only survivor of the incident. Typhus took in the force-sensitive child and began to teach him in the ways of the force as well. He intended to make his two pupils compete in hopes of it driving them to fanatically try to out-perform eachother.
His plan worked well. Qol immediately hated the newcomer and strove to do better than him in every way. They two children were evenly matched in most ways, but it seemed every time thier master tested them Batos managed to barely beat Qol. This made Qol furious with jealousy and he would often lash out at his rival during thier lessons. Typhus was pleased by the hateful rivalry he had bred between his pupils, and he would encourage them to sabatoge eachother whenever possible. The two would constantly get into fights when their master was away and these altercations got quite violent. Each of them thought of new and innovative ways to hurt each other.
Thier training was intense and physically demanding, and both of them were extensively trained in lightsaber combat. At age 14 Qol had a firm grasp of most of the techniques of Shii-Cho and his master began to teach them in the ways of Makashi. He wanted his pupils to be exceptionally skilled when fighting a lightsaber-wielding opponent because of his intent to use them against Karrion. This was the area Qol excelled in most, and the only skill at which he was undoubtedly better than Batos.
After the apprentices mastered Shii-cho Typhus took them to a ruined jedi temple to make thier own lightsabers. It was here that he had them attempt to forge synthetic crystals. Batos completed his first, and was incredibly glad to have finished before his opponent. When Qol finished his crystal thier master inspected them both. He deemed Qol's crystal to be adequete, but told Batos that his crystal was unstable. Later that night, as Qol slept, a jealous Batos crushed his crystal. When Qol told Typhus what had happened the dark master brutally punished him for allowing his crystal to be destroyed. He beat Qol without mercy for hours and it took two full days for the appretice to recover.
Once Qol was well enough to walk Typhus gave him a lava crystal, telling him they had neither the time or resources necessary for him to synthesize another. The two apprentices assembled thier sabers in the ruined temple and thier master told them it was time for them to leave Ossus. He wanted them to experience real combat, but wasnt ready to have them fight to the death yet. He took them aboard his Infiltrator and set out for Nar Shaddaa.
Once on the Smuggler's Moon Typhus quickly made contacts in the criminal underworld. He intended to teach his apprentices how to kill and gather resources at the same time by using them as contract killers. The two would compete to impress thier master with more cunning and brutal killings.
When Qol was 16 he faced his first real challenge. He was sent to kill a human mercenary named Weros who had quit a job working for Morgo the Hutt. Weros had a little too much knowledge of Morgo's operations and the Hutt wanted assurane that he wouldnt go telling his trade secrets to a rival.
Qol snuck into Weros' apartment late at night and attempted to sneak into his bedroom. He wasnt aware of the security system that set off an alarm. The Mercenary jumped out of bed and grabbed a blaster pistol from a drawer next to his bed. Qol ran across the room as fast as he could but the skilled fighter got two shots off. Qol barely managed to deflect the shots and dove behind a table for cover. After a quick second to gather himself Qol jumped up and force pulled the pistol from the man's hand. Weros quickly grabbed his vibroblade and rushed his opponent.
The mercenary was middle-aged, so he was physically larger than young Qol. He charged into the teenager and sent him rolling backward. The quick Nautolan scrambled to his feet but the man was on him again, beating him backward and keeping him on the defensive. The fight continued like this for several minutes until Qol managed to exploit a mistake in Weros' attack. As the mercenary went for a decapitating blow Qol ducked and slashed a gash in his opponent's stomach. The man stumbled backward and grunted in pain and disgut as he smelled his own burnt flesh and innards.
Qol force-choked the man off the floor and walked him to the window. He looked into Weros' eyes as he held him, dangling above the seemingly bottomless city, and he laughed. Weros desperately pleaded with the young dark jedi to spare him, but his pleas were met with more laughter. Just as Weros was telling Qol of his wife and daughter on Dantooine, Qol let him drop. Qol watched the mercenary fall until he faded into the darkness of the lower city beneath.
When Qol returned to his master Typhus was pleased. He had honestly not been entirely sure his apprentice would be able to kill the experienced fighter. He was even more pleased to hear the satisfaction and glee in Qol's voice as he described the terror and agony of the man as he made him beg for his life.
Batos had some successes of his own, and in time both apprentices became extremely skilled killers. Typhus decided it was time to put his apprentices to thier final test. He took them down to the lowest levels of the undercity and told them that the day had finally come. They would finally be allowed to fight to the death.
The area was thick with darkside energy. Hundreds of people had doubtlessly been murdered here. There were blaster scorches on the buildings and on blood stains that no one had bothered to wash away dotting the street. A single cantina sign cast a light blue glow over the road. This place had seen suffering, and it was about to see more.
Qol and Batos circled eachother. Batos was two years older and slightly bigger, but Qol had always made up for his lack of size with speed. In Typhus's opinion, they were evenly matched. Batos ignited his saber first, sending a pulsating red light through the streets. Qol ignited his in turn, a darker, more consistant red beam that seemed to emit almost no light when compared to Batos' bright blade.
Wary undercity dwellers peered out through thier windows and cracked doors at the newcomers. Most of them had never seen a dark jedi before, but they knew exactly what they were seeing. None of them dared come outside, knowing the reputation of dark jedi for being incredibly cruel and deadly.
Batos let out a cry and charged. His violent attacks were more powerful than Qol's, but less precise. Qol was able to parry the first three strikes and leap back from a fourth, creating a comfortable gap to regroup. He then went on the offensive, stabbing and swinging at Batos' legs and arms to try to get him off-balance. The apprentice was too clever for this to work, however, and now it was his turn to leap backward. Batos leapt back with a massive force jump and landed on the roof of the cantina. Batos was more skilled in force acrobatics than Qol was, and it was clear he planned on using that to his advantage.
Qol gathered his strength and leapt onto the building after his foe. He landed with an overhand strike that Batos managed to block, but it still caused him to stumble backward. Qol pressed hs advantage and launched a flurry of attacks that Batos struggled to block, but just as Qol thought he would get the kill strike his enemy sommersaulted off the building and back into the street.
Qol jumped down after him and tried to use his momentum to his advantage once again. This time Batos was ready and rolled to the right as Qol struck. Both appretices jumped to their feet and took a stance. Batos grabbed a nearby trash container with the force and hurled it at Qol, who barely had time to cut it in half before it would have hit him. Qol responded by attempting to force push Batos through the wall of a nearby building but he underestimated his opponents resolve. Batos resisted the attack and struck back with a force push of his own, sending Qol crashing through the window of the cantina.
The few miserable patrons of the cantina scurried for cover while the bartender ducked behind the bar. Qol got to his feet and faced the broken glass. Batos stepped through, laughing. "Apparently you werent studying hard enough, Qol!" He said, twirling his saber in his right hand, "your skill in the force is pathetic!"
The truth was that Qol had merely not anticipated Batos' resistance to be so strong, but he saw this as a chance to exploit his percieved disadvantage and turn it against his enemy. "There is more to our ways than the force!" He cried, trying his best to sound unsure of himself.
Batos laughed. "Killing you will be easier than i thought. Our master should have just strangled you to death the day he found me!" With that Batos hurled a table at Qol with another force push. Qol let it hit him and send him sprawling back. Batos began picking up individual bottles from the bar and hurling them around Qol, sending glass shards everywhere. Qol stood up again and glared at Batos.
The Ysanna charged foward and swung at Qol, propelling himself foward with the force. He was halted in mid-air as Qol raised his hand and began force-choking him. The Ysanna gagged for a moment in shock, and then glared in rage. He had been fooled. Qol began laughing his signature laugh as he let force lightning dance across his fingertips. "Everything is not always as it seems Batos," He said, "and now you will pay the price for your arrogance."
The Nautolan began to mercilessly shock his nemesis with force lightning, causing the young man to scream in agony. Qol laughed as his enemy writhed in pain, but his joy was cut short. Just in time he sensed the bartender standing up with a blaster. The Duros fired and Qol dropped his foe and deflected the shot back at the bartender, killing him. But killing the bartender didnt matter. He turned back to Batos just in time to see the Ysanna swing his weapon in a strong upward stroke. Qol blocked it, but just barely. His saber was knocked out of his hands and he tripped backward over the broken table.
Batos jumped over the table to finish him off but Qol kicked upward at his hands and knocked the lightsaber from his grasp. Batos leapt on Qol anyway, grabbing up a broken bottle and slashing it across the Nautolan's face. Qol screamed but used the pain and anger to summon forth a powerful force puch that sent Batos flying against the far wall. It took several moments for each of the apprentices to gather his wits. Each of them looked around the room. Qol saw his saber about ten meters away, but a quick glance showed him Batos was mere feet from his own. For a split second they locked eyes. Then they both made their moves.
Batos ran for his saber and had it in the blink of an eye, but Qol ran foward, pulling his weapon to his hand with the force as he ran. He caught and ignited it just in time to lock blades with Batos. Both of glared at eachother across their clashed weapons as Batos' blade pulsated and red sparks shot across the room. In this moment Qol knew only hate. He did not want to kill Batos because he was an obstacle in his path to strength. He didnt want to kill him to gain the approval of his master. He wanted Batos to die solely because he hated him.
Then it happened. The unstable crystal in Batos lightsaber shorted out and Qol's blade pressed foward. There was a look of shock on the Ysanna's eyes as he looked down at his chest. He stumbled back, wheezing for breath as the gap across his torso widened. Qol grinned and chuckled to himself as his foe collapsed to his knees and dropped his inactive lightsaber.
"It seems your past failings have come back to haunt you," Qol said, "and now you will pay the ultimate price. Your incompetance has undone you. Dont worry, old friend, you're name wont be forgotten. Yours will be the first on my list of notable advesaries, and your lightsaber the first in my collection. You will always hold a special place in my heart as the first pest swatted out of my path to power"
Batos looked up as though he were attempting to respond, but he could'nt summon the breath to speak. Qol laughed one more time and swept his lightsaber across Batos's shoulders. His head tumbled to one side as his body collapsed to the other.
Qol collected the dropped lightsaber hilt and examined it. It wasnt much to look at, but he was proud of it. A dark jedi had died at his hands, and it would hopefully be merely the first of many jedi and dark jedi he would get the opportunity to destroy. Then his thoughts turned to his master. That fine weapon would be a wonderful peice in his collection. A purple blade with an electrum hilt. Someday, he would usurp his master and take that weapon as his own. For now, he would bide his time.
Typhus stepped out of the shadows, almost surprising the nautolan as he surveyed his prize.
"Good, child, well done. Your study paid off. Now you are ready to become the Dark Jedi you are meant to be. Now you will embark on the path of the marauder!"
As the two walked out of the undercity Qol took one last look over his shoulder at his felled opponent. Scavangers were already emerging from buildings to loot the corpse. That lesson stuck with Qol; You either win, or you end up being just another peice of trash for the scum to root through.
Qol and Typhus set out on what Typhus called a "Purge." They hunted down and killed members of Typhus's old cult. They started with former initiates. They traveled the galaxy in Typhus's personal courier class ship, "The Viral Star." The started with those associated with the cult but not versed in the ways of the force. On Coruscant Qol killed three members of the old cult in their daytime workplaces. The first he beheaded in his office at an accounting firm. He caught the next in a brothel. The third was a senate candidate. He waited for the man to finish an impassioned speech and killed him on his way home. The man, Ebill Sellens, became a martyr and his party captured the senate seat in his memory.
They tracked the next one to a farm Dantooine. The man had forsaken the dark side and much to Qol's disappointment, the man's defense was half-hearted at best, and he seemed resigned to his fate. After Qol killed him he searched the home and found a broken lightsaber. Qol was infuriated to see a man throw away such power and burned the farm to the ground.
Typhus next took Qol to Tatooine. Three cult members working as Czerka representatives seemed to know Qol and Typhus were coming. When Qol arrived they were waiting in ambush for him. Even with Typhus helping the battle was fierce, but one by one Qol delivered the death blows. Typhus was pleased with his student and told him it was finally time to take down Karrion.
Karrion had taken notice that the former members of his cult were disappearing one by one and began hunting the pair down. Typhus knew his old enemy would be tracking him and his trap was laid at Dxun.
The tall old dark jedi strolled into the clearing somewhat casually. "Typhus!" he called out, spotting the duo at a small camp fire, "Why have you spent so much time hunting down our old friends? Why not come straight to me?"
"Ah, Karrion, my good man. You see, i couldn't risk you calling in old members to help you."
"Why would you even try to draw me out? You know you can't defeat me!"
"Maybe i cannot, but my friend here can. I knew you would be too afraid to take an apprentice. You were never one to trust those under you. I suppose thats why the cult collapsed when you usurped me."
"You think your pawn can defeat me? Ill kill the both of you! do you not remember how a threw you about like a rag doll? How i singed your flesh with lightning? What makes you think the two of you can beat me now?"
"My pawn is more powerful than you would expect, Karrion, and even if he cannot beat you, he can tire you out enough for me to crush you," said Typhus. "This clearing is surrounded by mines that I just activated, so if you want to leave you need to kill me first and deactivate them."
The worry showed plainly on Karrions face now, but as Typhus chuckled it turned to agitation, and then fury. "Then this is how you regain the pride i took from you? By sending this youngling at my face while you stab my back?"
"I wont stab your back, old friend. I expect you to fight to the death, one on one. If you beat him then you should be good and tired enough to fight me, like i was when you defeated me those years ago."
Qol looked at his master. "Go on boy,' The old man said, "this is your final test. Prove yourself!"
He had expected the two of them to work together to kill the old Dark Jedi, but now he was to fight him on his own? That would'nt do at all.
Qol had to tip the odds in his favor. "Or, Karrion, you and I could kill my esteemed and loyal master here and then go our seperate ways."
"Watch yourself, boy!" Typhus cried, realising his folly. "I made you what you are, i can destroy you as well."
"Maybe you can master, but once you do that you should be good and tired enough for Karrion to kill you!"
Karrion began to laugh and all three dark jedi ignited their sabers. In the glow of the night Qol and Karrion attacked Typhus. The red glow of their sabers caused brilliant flashes of light against the purple blade of Typhus. Typhus fought fiercely, his rage and desperation making him dangerous, but Karrion was skilled, and with his help they were keeping Typhus on the defensive. Finally, after almost an hour of fighting Typhus knocked Karrion's saber from his hands. As he made his killing blow on his old adversary Qol stabbed him in the back. The two old lords collapsed together to the dirt, both rasping for air. As Karrion's last breath wheezed past his lips Typhus looked up at his student with hate blazing in his eyes.
Qol couldnt help but laugh. He picked up his masters saber and ignited it. "I will use this to kill diplomats and kings, master, and the galaxy will know me by it. You will be forgotten. Maybe someday i will take a student, but i will be smart enough to kill him before he is more powerful than me."
"You will never be as powerful as me!" Typhus shouted, but Qol's only response was laughter, and a swing of his blade. Typhus collapsed in two halves.
Qol collected his master's valuables and searched Karrion's body. He found a few trinkets, of some value, but most importantly he found a holocron. He had no idea what was on it or how to use it, so took it and set out in the Viral Star to find someone who could teach him how.
Since that day Qol has been traveling the galaxy aimlessly, looking for someone to teach him how to open the secrets of the holocron, but having no idea where to search. When he gets restless he searches for people to kill. Whether it be to sharpen his skills or just to pass the time, he does it alot. He has taken some contracts as an assassin, but his master left behind a small fortune, so he doesn't truly need the money. It does help spread his reputation, and he is hoping he could attract the attention of someone within the Sith who may be able to help him.

The blood on his hands felt good. The girl had put up quite the fight, and Qol always liked killing with a knife. It felt more personal, almost insulting to his vitims. He released the woman's body and let it slump to the floor. The man in the bed whimpered in fear.
"Please, don't kill me. I have powerful friends, i can get you anything you want!"
Qol returned the knife to it's sheath.
"Thank you!" the man cried, openly weeping in relief. "Anything you want, i swear on my life!"
Qol produced a small object from his belt. "Can you tell me how to use this?" he asked.
"ummm... No, I't not sure what that is" the man said
"Thats too bad," Qol said, pulling forth his lightsaber and igniting the blade. "Now, since you dont know how to use my little trinket you arent of any use to me. Now i can't go killing a senate candidate with a normal everyday knife, even if you've been cheating on you're wife with this little lady, it still just wouldnt be proper. A lightsaber is a weapon worthy of taking your life. And this one is particularly nice. Note the electrum hilt and the fine craftsmanship. This sort of thing is hard to come by. Even the blade is nice. I hear purple is a color prefered by kings and emporers. I should really be using it to kill royalty! Im going to put that on my to-do list"
The man began to cry out in fear again as Qol approached him. The Nautolan couldnt help but laugh.
