(Sorry for the crappy post, parent's forced me off the computer as I was writing it and sorta killed my muse for it.
The sun of Coruscant was beginning to rise above the skyscrapers of Galactic City. The rays of the star bathed the Jedi Temple with its light, and many of its occupants began to rise. Some would prepare to go to class or teach it, while others would prepare to go on missions that would help make the universe a better place.
Raveal awoke in his bed, stretching his arms as he let out a loud yawn. He was one of those who would have to get ready for his classes soon. The young Shistavanen pup was only a youngling, and had yet to be chosen as the Padawan of a Knight or Master. He was only 10 years old though, so he still had 3 years left before he was sent to the Corps.
The black furred pup got out of his bed and walked over to his dresser, pulling a white shirt and a pair of pants out of it. The shirt fit him loosely, so that he wouldn’t get overheated. It also felt uncomfortable having his fur pressed against him when he wore tight shirts, so he liked his shirts extra loose.
After he got dressed, making sure to keep his claws from ripping the clothes Raveal, Raveal exited his room.
Immediately Raveal entered the crowd of Jedi moving through the hallways. The young pup found himself surrounded by Jedi Knights, Padawans, and other younglings. Some of them were headed for rooms to train or meditate,, but still more were going to get some breakfast before they began their long day. Raveal was one of those Jedi, and he was looking forward to his meal.
Raveal’s meal consisted of meat and a few vegetables. Despite common belief, Shistavanens did require something other then just meat in their diet. They required some vegetables or fruit every now and then, or they wouldn’t be too healthy.
Walking towards a group of tables, Raveal’s eyes searched for an open seat. His eyes darted from table to table, searching for his friends so that he could sit with them. He could not find them however, but he did find a table that wasn’t full, and had not one but TWO empty seats. Not that it mattered though. He quickly rushed over to the seat and plopped his tray of food upon it, before sitting down in a chair. He quickly tore into his food, starting with the meat. He tried his best to be clean, deciding to use a fork and knife instead of just ripping apart the meat with his teeth.

As the sun rose a small beam of light traveled across the room, slowly traveling from the foot of her bed to Myri's face. When it reached her face she awoke with a start. Someone had left her window uncovered. Getting up she walked over to the window and covered it. She turned around. This room had been her home for years, everything in it had a place. Her brush was in the same exact place as it was every day. Everything was in the same exact place. She moved to get ready for the day.
She grabbed a set of fresh clothes from her dresser and changed into them. Making sure she was ready she followed the nearly perfect routine she had. A walk down this hall for twenty seconds, turn, move past the Jedi Padawan that managed to somehow be late at the same time everyday and then a right turn into the cafeteria. She grabbed some food and followed her well rehearsed path to her seat. Except when she sat down there was some furry creature in her seat. She tapped his shoulder.
"I'm sorry, but you appear to be in my seat. Its hard to find myself a seat, so I sort of have an agreement with this table. They usually leave it empty for me, so I don't have to go around finding one."

Raveal had finished cutting and eating a large chunk of meat when he felt a finger tap on his shoulder. Raveal put down his fork and knife and turned around, curious as to who wanted his attention. He turned and saw a little human girl, who was maybe around his age. She was a bit shorter then him though, so he wasn’t sure. Raveal tried to look her in the eyes, but she didn’t seem to be looking at him. Shhe looked as though she wasn’t focusing on anything, and Raveal thought for a moment that maybe she wasn’t all there. It took him a second to realize that she was blind.
"I'm sorry, but you appear to be in my seat. It’s hard to find myself a seat, so I sort of have an agreement with this table. They usually leave it empty for me, so I don't have to go around finding one."
Raveal’s ears flattened in embarrassment, he got out of the seat quickly, piking up his tray as well, though he made sure not to bump into the blind girl. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know.” Raveal said, his voice apologetic. The words came out a little raspy, as the Shistavanen’s vocal cords weren’t created to speak basic. “Would you mind if I sit next to you then? There aren’t any other seats as far as I can tell.”
Raveal stepped over to the other chair, though he did not make a move to site in it. Instead he waited. He didn’t want to be rude and sit down before she gave him an answer.

"I'm really sorry for the trouble. And please, go ahead."
Myri set her tray down on the table and sat. She was incredibly organized. Each food having its own section on her tray. She was incredibly careful not to bump anything. She turned to face the Shistavanen. She always tried to face someone when she was speaking to them. It unnerved other people when she spoke without looking at them.
"My names Myri, whats yours? And not to be rude but what planet are you from? You have this odd accent?"
She spoke softly, as if she was afraid she would offend him. She really didn't want to offend him, he sounded really nice.

Raveal pulled the chair from the table and sat down next to the blind girl. “Thank you.” he said as he turned to the girl, nodding his head in gratitude. He then realized that there was no point in doing so, the girl wouldn’t have been able to see him.
"My names Myri, whats yours? And not to be rude but what planet are you from? You have this odd accent?"
Raveal nodded, some people found his voice strange. Some mistook it for an accent, but it was just his vocal chords and mouth trying to produce the sounds needed to speak Basic. It didn’t hurt him to speak Basic, his vocal chords weren’t damaged when he made the noises. It was just difficult; he found it a lot easier to speak the language of his species.
“My names Raveal,” he responded, his voice losing its roughness as he spoke his name. It wasn’t exactly a Shistavanen name, but it wasn’t hard for a Shistavanen to say. “I was born on this planet. I was raised by my parents for four years. I don’t think I have a foreign accent. My father was a Jedi before he met my mother, so I wouldn’t have picked it up from him. I don’t know where my mother is from, but she spoke in a similar way to my father. I think it’s more that when I speak Basic my voice is a bit raspy and my mouth has trouble making the sounds needed to speak the language.”
Raveal sat silently for a moment, unsure as to what he should say. He didn’t want to conversation to fall into an awkward silence, so he decided to ask her a question, “So where were you from, before you were taken by the Jedi?” Raveal asked. Most younglings didn’t like talking about their family. It was hard to think about the parents and siblings they had left. However Myri didn’t seem to mind talking about life before the Jedi, she had asked Raveal where he was from.

Myri smiled, she was pleased that for once someone her age was talking to her. She answered enthusiastically, almost stumbling over her words in her haste to answer.
"I'm from Qiilura. Its a farming world in the mid rim. Unfortunately I don't have much to bring with me from home. No knowledge of farming, which is odd for a girl from a farming world don't you think? I'm rambling aren't I? I'm sorry, I just have a bad habit of rambling."
She dropped her head in shame, her face was red. She was rambling again, speaking the first thought that came to mind. Social interactions were not really something she was good at. She couldn't really read facial instructions, which really shot her in the foot sometimes. She reached down and grabbed a blumfruit and popped it in her mouth. She cocked her head as a question entered her head.
"Do you speak another language? Drexyl claims he can speak Bocce! I can only speak basic, but I want to learn to speak another language one day!"
She nearly banged her head against the table. She was rambling again. She hated it when she started rambling.

Myri smiled as she explained her origins to Raveal. Raveal listened as she told him that she grew up on a farming world in the Mid Rim. She seemed to find it weird that she didn't know much about farming, but Raveal didn't. He didn't know anything about diplomacy, and his father had been a diplomat.
The young Shistavanen let out a chuckle when Myri asked if she was rambling, "No it's fine, I do it a lot too .Once I start talking about something I just keep on going. I remember one time my teacher asked me a question about...... see there I go. I almost did it just now." Raveal said as he laughed again.
"Do you speak another language? Drexyl claims he can speak Bocce! I can only speak basic, but I want to learn to speak another language one day!"
"He can speak Bocce? That would be a good language to learn. I don't speak it though. I can speak my species native language pretty well, and I know a couple of words of Huttesse. I can also understand Shyriwook.... sort of anyway. I'm studying to be a healer, and my teachers suggested I try to learn a couple of languages now so that I will be able to talk to any patients I have when I'm older." Raveal explained. He realized that he was starting to talk about himself and his desire to become a healer, so he changed the subject back to what the girl had originally been talking about. "So yeah, I know a couple of languages. So what language are you planning on learning? Raveal decided to ask.

Myri took a while before answering. To the point that Ravael might think that she had missed the question. Then she answered. A surprisingly simple answer.
"High Galactic!"
She spoke with a surprising amount of enthusiasm. She had just spent a while thinking up what language she should learn eventually. It was probably an odd answer for one as young as her.
"Its odd I know, but I likely won't end up spending a lot of time outside the temple due to my eyes... So knowing Shyriwook wouldn't do me much good. I haven't seen very many wookies around. I don't really know what I want to do though.
She tried to stop herself from laughing at her bad pun. Barely stifling it.
