What does everyone think about the new Star Wars game that's been announced called 'Force Unleashed'?

Actually you might. It's coming out on the PS2 aswell. At least, thats what I heard.

I also heard that Its coming out on the PSP too.

yep you're supposed to be able to blow stuff up to an all new degree of blowing stuff up. Oh and the force powers are going to like nice as heck...but I don't like the inflexibility of the storyline. That is probably the thing I dislike about the Star Wars games that center around the movies or a time period that is already canon. It allows for such little flexibility, but I'm still getting the game *zaps people* Beware Quinlan Vos!

The only thing that's really cheesing me off is the release date. It comes out in November in the US which means the UK probably won't see it until January/February, or possibly March. So that's nearly a whole year we have to wait...

I don't pre-order games. I've never usually had the need to.

To be honest I'm not too sure about this game now. All it might end up doing is raising a new generation of stupid, mindless fanboys who couldn't care less about the important things in games such as depth and story, and are only interested in mindless action and graphics.

The main reason why I changed my view about it is because I realized that it will probably divert LucasArts' attention from REALLY important projects, like the KOTOR series. Not like LucasArts ever cared about KOTOR though.

OMG! I can't wait. I wanna get it for my new star wars edition PSP I got for christmas....omg!

The PSP version is supposed to have a few more places to go for the lack of next gen graphics. I saw the vid in the xtras of the battlefront game that came with the PSP.

I think I'm gonna buy the xbox 360 version of it also, even though I don't own a 360 i could always use my cousins.

I hope they make a new KOTOR game! I loved KOTOR 1 the best. I was kinda hoping KOTOR 2 would reveal more about Revan the cast from the first installment. Instead it shows a short clip of Carth and Bastila saying Revan went to fight alone. LAME! why can't they ever just say more. It makes me drool and want to smack the guys who wrote the story!!! I want in depth story!!!!

Another thing I didn't like was the short gameplay. I mean c'mon 50 hrs. How lame is that. If they do not make KOTOR 3 an MMORPG, I hope they don't focus on major advancements on the graphics and improve the storyline and length of gameplay. I'm talking like 150 hrs. awww.....i'm drooling already....

Also Bioware and Lucas Arts are working on what is believed to be a new KOTOR MMO. To be honest guys I think it could very well take place during the Era we RP in just because it has an enormous empty gapeing hole in the SW history.

to those who were talking about kotor 3 and bioware still working with lucasarts no bioware and lucasarts seperated and there will be no kotor 3 mr lucas wants them both to be cliffhangers so if he leaves them this way they will be perfect which they are but id be happy to be proven wrong and the force unleashed will be awesome being able to force push someone into a wall and throw your lightsaber through their head thats what i want in a game!

This game looks wicked! You get to either join Darth Vader in the conquest to take control of the universe and overthrow the Emperor, or you can rebel on the Great Sith lord and become a jedi, fightin for survival. You can throw Stormtroopers around, destroy Tie fighters with a click of a button and all sorts of things. Plus, at the start of the game, you get to be Darth Vader. Yep, this game is going to be awesome! I've already pre-ordered!

Even though it looks amazing, you have to hand it to Lucasarts that they are exceedingly good at messing things up.
