Birth place: Coruscant
Faction: Jedi
Rank: Jedi Knight
Bio:
Daran was born in the slums of Coruscant, he did not stay in the slums for to long however. The Jedi soon took him away, with his older brother Kale. He doesn't remember much of his family, but he remembers his father's name was Joran.
Daran and Kale rose through the ranks together. Though they could not see eachother all the time, they tried to see eachother as much as they could. Which was about once a day. The two had neutral feelings for the Jedi, but as time passed their feelings changed. Daran grew to respect the Jedi and their ways, while Kale's feelings remained the same. For now anyway.
Daran was the favorite of the two brothers. Jedi Initiates, Padawans, Knights, and even masters favored Daran to Kale. Which made Kale jealous. Jealous of his kind brother Daran. The seed of his soon to be hatred.
Daran grew to the rank of Padawan when Master Valin Doromar chose him. He trained under him for years, and through those years Daran's hair color started to change, his was getting brighter while Kale's was turning darker
Time passed, and eventually Daran constructed his lightsaber. A sky blue, single-phase lightsaber. It was clear to Daran that Kale was not happy that Daran had been the first to construct his lightsaber. Daran tried to calm him, and tell him that it didn't mean anything. Kale didn't believe it, but he accepted it. At this point, Daran's hair was a bright blonde color, while Kale's hair was a dark brown.
While using his lightsaber, Daran learned to prefer a defensive form of lightsaber combat, Soresu. He was skilled with a mixture of both the force, and lightsaber combat.
Daran and his master had a positive relationship. Daran had a certain bond to his master, not of affection, but of respect. His master was an idol to him, and helped him learn and grow as a Jedi. If Daran could not handle a certain task, Valin would help him by calmly explaining what he is doing wrong and how to fix it.
The two had once gone on a mission to Kashyyyk. A Jedi had been sent to the forests and must of gotten lost since they had not heard anything of him in weeks. The mission goal was to arrive back at Coruscant with the lost Jedi. When they arrived in the forests, they were unpleasantly surprised to find a group of raiders.
The Raiders attacked but were soon defeated. Daran and Valin exchanged a glance, this Jedi was not lost. The two searched through the deep forests, until they found a lightsaber. It was the Jedi's. The two instantly knew that the Jedi was either dead, or would soon be dead.
"What.. what should we do..?" Daran asked, as he looked up at his master.
"What do you think we should do?"Valin replied, staring down to his padawan.
"Well.. as a Jedi I would say he's probably dead, and that we should not risk our lives to go after him."
Valin looked down to his padawan with a proud look on his face. "What do you want to do?"
"I.. I want to help him, but I cannot let such thoughts get the better of me."
"Very well.. I will stand by your decision. Let us go back to the temple and tell them what we found."
The two went back to the temple, and reported what they had found. After further investigation, the Jedi was found dead. He was deep within the forest hanging from a tree. When one of the investigators walked up to the body, he stepped on a trip mine and killed himself and many of the other investigators. It was a trap.
Kale had to hide his hatred. So that the jedi may not see it. He burried it down deep within his brain, and often tried to remind himself of the Jedi Mantra. 'Emotion, yet Peace.'
Later, Daran passed his Knighthood trials. Once again, before Kale did. Six months later, Kale received the same rank. Daran and Kale had aged a lot since they were first brought into the Jedi. Their appearances had completely changed, and now it was hard to tell that Kale and Daran were related. Daran's hair color had turned snow-white, while Kale's turned raven-black. Daran and Kale went on many missions on their own. However, eventually they decided to go on one together, along with Kale’s old master.
The mission that Kale and Daran had chosen was one that involved a Jedi outpost that hasn't been heard from in over six months. They had to go to it, and find out what happened. So the three took a small Jedi ship to the outpost.
When they arrived, they walked into the outpost and saw nothing but the bodies of dead Jedi and dead bounty hunters.. They walked through the halls, hoping to find the killer of the Jedi. Eventually they walked into a large room, Daran walked in first, and was furthest from the door.
After they walked in, Bounty Hunters emerged from the shadows. The doors started to shut, and Kale and Biran were able to make it out. Daran however was trapped inside. He ran up to the bulletproof window, and banged his fists against it. He saw Kale's eyes tearing, as he to stared through the window. Daran just mouthed the words "There is no emotion, there is peace." Then without a word Biran pulled Kale away.
Daran turned to see the Bounty Hunters, who all took aim on Daran. Daran ignited his sky blue saber and got into a Soresu stance. He began to deflect projectiles that were shot at him.
There were about five well-equipped bounty hunters. Daran knew he couldn't take them all, but it was either fight, or die. One laser was shot toward Daran's chest. Daran deflected it quickly, and it hit the bounty hunter directly in the head. Daran knew it wasn't the Jedi way to kill, but he didn't really have much of a choice.
Three lasers were fired at Daran almost simultaneously. Daran was able to deflect two, but one hit his lower leg. He let out a groan, as another laser shot him in the shoulder. Daran slowed his breath, and focused on the force for a moment. He force pushed a Bounty Hunter against the metal walls. His head took most of the hit, and he passed out.
The two realized that it was harder for Daran to deflect the bullets when they shot simultaneously. So, they fired simultaneously once again. This time Daran was unable to deflect either of the lasers. One laser barley scraped the left side of his neck, Daran yelped in pain, if the laser had moved slightly to the right, he would of died. The other laser hit his left wrist. It was a good thing Daran was right handed, otherwise he would've died right then and there.
Another laser was fired, and it scraped the side of Daran's head. Then, a bounty hunter fired to Daran yet again, but this time Daran able to deflect it, barely. The laser hit the bounty hunter's ankle, and he fell to the floor. His weapon flew about two feet away from him. When the man reached for his weapon, Daran began to cast force push on him.
While in the middle of performing a force push on the man that had fallen, Daran was shot twice. Once in his right hand, and the then in his gut. Even though the force push was successful, Daran fell to the floor. His saber flew out of his hands and dis-ignited once it touched the ground.
As the last bounty hunter walked up to Daran, Daran crawled back trying to get away from him. However, he lost hope when his back hit the walls of the room.
The last bounty hunter pulled a slugthrower from it's side. Daran didn't have his saber, and he couldn't deflect the bullet, or stab the man. He was also into much pain to focus his force abilities. He could only watch as the Bounty Hunter aimed his slugthrower.
However, just before the man could fire he was slammed against the wall. When Daran turned to see who had saved him, he was overjoyed to find that it was Kale. However, he managed to keep his emotions silent, as a Jedi should.
Daran grabbed his saber, just before he was thrown over Kale's shoulder and carried out of the outpost. Kale, who wasn't strong with force healing, managed to heal Daran's smaller wounds. That removed some of the pain, and gave Daran the ability to focus his force abilities and heal himself.
Daran stood up, and looked to his brother. That's when Kale said something that would change their lives forever "We're leaving the Jedi." Daran refused, and stated that he was going to stay with the Jedi, no matter what. This angered Kale, "They tried to kill you! And you want to stay with them?" Kale shouted. It was clear to Daran that Kale was filled with anger and hate. “Besides, I can’t go back. Master Biran’s dead, and though I did not do the fatal move, they’re going to blame me. I did attack him, and I will be punished for it if I don’t leave.”
"Kale, calm yourself. There is no emotion, there is peace. The Jedi will take you back, I’ll see to it." Daran reminded his brother his voice was monotone as usual.
“Shut up Daran. I’m sick and tired of you treating me like a child. I’m two years older then you. I will not sit here and watch you advance ahead of me, simply because the Jedi like you more.” Kale stated boldly, as he turned away from his brother.
“The Jedi don’t like me any more then they like you. It’s just clear to everyone that your mind is filled with hatred and anger.“
After this was said, there was a faint silence. After a few seconds the only sound that was heard was the sound of two lightsabers igniting. “Kale, you don’t want to do this.” Daran told his brother. Kale simply ignored what Daran had said, and with a grunt, charged to Daran with his sabers ignited.
Kale swung his sabers to Daran, but Daran was quick enough to ignite his saber and deflect the blow. Daran clearly saw there was no way of convincing his brother into staying with the Jedi. Daran was not going to injure his brother he completely refused. So instead he fled. He hid in the forests, until Kale left. That day, a single strand of Daran's hair turned black. It is the only strand of hair that is on his face.
Once Kale left Daran looked to the dead Jedi Master’s body and sighed. He called in the Jedi to pick him and Master Biran up. That's exactly what the Jedi did.
Daran, and the now dead master were picked up, and brought back to the Jedi. Daran had told them of Kale's betrayal, and Kale was then considered an enemy of the Jedi-Order. Daran is now studying geology, and is trying to become stronger with the force.

The wind was blowing, and the snow was gently swaying down onto snow-covered mountaintops. Snow blankets the rocky mountain, as soft footprints are imprinted into it. Walking in the snow is Daran, covered in white robes. He would be completely invisible if it wasn’t for the black trimmings on the cuffs, and bottom of his bright white robes.
Ilum, the beautiful snow covered planet. Daran was thinking back to his first visit. He had come to obtain a lightsaber crystal. Ilum had two types of lightsaber crystals, blue and green. Daran had chosen one that was a Sky Blue color. It had been years since his last visit to the beautiful planet. He recalled the making of his first lightsaber, he smiled a bit to himself as he lifted up his hilt and looked to it. He still had the same crystal, just a different hilt.
With a sigh, he clipped his hilt back to his side and continued his walk. He wasn’t here for any particular reason; he just wanted to see the beautiful planet he had such a deep connection to. Near by were the crystal caves he had once gone into to find his crystal.
He walked into the old caves, pulled his hood of, and looked around. He instantly remembered every detail of the caves. He walked slowly walked into the caves, not expecting much danger. That was, until he heard a roar. He wasn’t alone. He was not afraid, and he knew of the danger that was soon to approach. It's probably a Gorgodon.. Shouldn't be to dangerous.
After taking a turn in the small cave he saw what he was dealing with. A Gorgodon, just as expected. Normally such beasts prefer the low lands, but occasionally travel to the mountains in search of prey. The beast looked at Daran, its eyes were filled with hunger. It was clear that it hadn’t eaten; all day at least. The beast stood on all fours, and raised it’s massive tail. Probably an attempt to intimidate Daran.
Daran looked to the beast, it had black fur, it’s front legs were much bigger then it’s rear legs, the front feet had three claws, the back feet had four claws. It’s face was bald, it had three rows of teeth, It had four nostrils, and it’s eyes were small. Daran could tell that the beast probably had weak sight, but enhanced smell and hearing.
The beast was extremely muscular, but Daran was not afraid. He’s faced worse. The beast charged to Daran, pointing his head at him. Daran unclipped his hilt, and ran for the beast as well. Though, when he came near it he slid to the ground, underneath the beast. He came up behind the tail, stood up, and pounced toward the beast’s tail. Failure, the beast heard him and quickly turned around. Instead of landing on the beast’s tail, he was sent flying by the beasts tail.
He would of rammed into the wall violently, if he didn’t slow himself down , via the force. He gracefully landed on the wall with two feet placed on it. He extended a hand forward and sent a force push in the direction of the Gorgodon. It was sent flying into the wall. Daran then jumped off the wall, and ran to the beast. He dis-ignited his lightsaber, and clipped it to his belt. He placed a finger to the beast’s head with his left hand, he shut his eyes, and started to sway his right hand to the right.
“You are very tired, let me go get food for you. You can take a nice nap…” Daran spoke, he wasn’t sure if the beast could understand a word he was saying. However, Daran kept his voice low, and spoke very slowly. The beast blinked a bit, and then it’s eyes shut.
Daran smiled to himself, before casually continuing his walk through the caves. Eventually he came across the area where h picked his crystal. It was a small room, and the walls were sparkling with crystals of different shades of green and blue. Daran smiled widely as he walked up to the small hole in the wall where he had taken his crystal. He saw himself reaching up for it when he was very little. The good old days…
