On a studio set, Lyn Bondara quickly skimmed her notes as the support staff applied makeup to her smiling, purple face. The Twi'lek journalist was about to run a very special segment on her holonet show, Behind the Scenes. It was her baby in a way, the project she'd nursed for three years now, and made her name with.
She had a following now, particularly with young people, but with all devotees of film. That certainly included her, from her own days as a film student to her own time spent at home on the couch with her husband, watching the holonet's various offerings.
From her own standpoint, she had to say the subject of the day's show was definitely one of her favorites. Yes, it was an excellent one indeed. Gritty, real. Controversial at times. Truly the best film had to offer.
She eyed her two guests for today, Asa'ooka and Supisy'me, both Twi'leks like her, and both interesting people in their own right. Talented actresses, with a considerable amount of prestige in their fields thanks to the new project everyone had been so pleased with.
One of them was tall, with a sand-colored skin and dramatic curves, and the other was slender with alabaster skin. Yes, both were beautiful women, and it was a pleasure to have them on the show.
"All right, we're on in a few seconds ladies, I'm sure the two of you will do fine..."
Lyn swiveled in her seat to face the camera as the operator started a countdown on one hand. 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...
"Welcome back to Behind The Scenes, with today's guests Asa'ooka and Supisy'me. You might better recognize them from the hit show Star Wars Universe, where you might recognize my cameros as well. Who can forget these women for their gripping roles as the lovably eccentric Twi'lek pilot Doneeda, and the disturbed young Sith, Varulla. Welcome ladies."
The second camera was trained in on the two guests to catch their reactions.
"Now I'd like to say first that it's an honor to have you both on the show, and I'd like to ask what first brought you into acting."

Asa'ooka had been giddy for awhile now. It'd been 3 months since her Producer had approached her about doing a segment with Lyn Bondara. At first she'd been a little leery, she didn't want to do something that would amount to shameless plugging for the show's second season. But, after a ( many ) conversations with he and her agents, Asa had caved. It seemed solid, and Lyn seemed like a solid reporter, so the Twi'lek agreed.
It'd been about five minutes since she'd sat down in the comfy char across from the desk occupied by Lyn. To the viewers, they'd see the Purple twi'lek sitting behind a desk with Asa and Supisy in chairs on the other side, there was a window showing the Courscanti skyline out it, lit up at night.
Asa nodded when Lyn mentioned it was going to be another few seconds. She was to take point on the first question, as per the rehearsal. Even though she'd gone over what had gotten her into acting a few times in her head, she still wasn't sure how it'd come out on live, galactic Holo.
That and the shock she was sure the audience would have when she spoke perfect basic and wasn't as high-pitched as her character was.
She'd soon find out.
Eccentric, hah. Thanks Lyn, honored to be here.
She paused.
Never really thought about it, well, not until you asked. I've always been kinda into it, yah know? Alwyas was in drama club, all through school, took the theater classes when I could. Just something I've always been drawn too I guess.
She took a sip of the coffee.
What really brought me into it, though, on second thought, would have been that Twi'lek actress...You know, the one who did all the pinup modeling, Kesa'Taloi I think her name was. I remember being a kid and seeing her in photos and movies as I grew up and being like " Damn, I wanna be that someday.".
She explained, unsure if the model's name was correct.

Lyn chuckled at her guest's mention of the rather well known model, the very picture of glamour.
"You and many other little girls." The purple Twi'lek said with a smile before looking over to Supisy.
"And you Supisy?"
The pale Twi'lek smiled right back and answered in a warm voice very different from the character she played, which was bound to come as a surprise to some watching along.
"Thanks Lyn. For me, acting was just the natural fit. I'd always play act as a child, then that turned into community theater. I was doing the role of Ashanoa in 'The Lights of Coruscant' by sixteen, and it just made sense to go to a conservatory and make a career out of it."
Supisy took a sip of that hot tea before her, signifying she was done talking and the ball was back in Lyn's court.
"All right, now back to Asa." Lyn leaned forward and stared at the woman for a second with an intent expression. "What do you find the hardest part about playing the role of Donnie? And are those real?" Lyn gestured to the actress' breasts.
Now there was a question on every viewer's mind.

Asa chuckled, that particular question was bound to come up, and it wasn't something that worried her. So many in the industry tried to hide their curves origins, Asa really didn't care where they came from, so long as it worked.
Hardest part about playing Donnie...
She thought for a moment, then continued.
Honestly, the fact she isn't a Basic speaker. First time I read the script It wasn't actually done, so I didn't even realize there was supposed to be an accent there. I kinda had to come up with the accent and her speech cadence on the fly. Took me like a month before I could do the accent without having to have marbles in my cheeks. I also don't speak a lick of Huttese.
She finished with a chuckle, that mellowed out into a smirk, thinking about the next question.
And Oh man, the million dollar question, eh? Ahh...I'd really love to say "yes", but no. I started out big, though, which is why they don't look fake. Was a full D before getting the twins done. At the time, now, remember, this was at the tail end of college, so I was broke as anything, I was doing lingerie modeling...for, well, a company. [/color]
She took a sip of the coffee and winked at the camera. It was a "Hot" lingerie company, one of the ones that made things without crotches and such. Their product shots were nearly softcore porn in some circles. She'd been a model of theirs for 2 years before getting into film. If people knew who it was, power too 'em, she was through with that part of her life. The wink was just a "you know who you are", for those who knew about that part of her past.
Long story short, needed more money, and they needed a model with Triple Dee's and were willing to cover the surgery if I worked for them for a few years.
She finished with a laugh.

Lyn had studied up a bit on her guests, the only way to figure out the right questions to ask, and she knew all about the modeling story. She also knew Supisy couldn't have been more different.
Hell, Asa and Supisy were probably more different from each other than Donnie and Var, but they were still good friends apparently. Either that or their agents carefully cultivated the appearance of friendship. Both were possible, but given the options Lyn preferred to believe it was genuine, purely because of the sap in her.
"Supisy, same question to you."
The alabaster Twi'lek grinned and touched her breasts impishly. "Mine are real," She chuckled, as if her modest B cups could be anything other than real.
"Quite seriously though, the hardest part about playing Var is channeling enough pain for the part. She's a deeply disturbed woman with a lot of baggage, and I'm, well, not. I grew up on Alderaan in a middle class home, but my grandmother was a slave, and you could say she inspired me to take on this role. I'm doing it for her really."
Lyn nodded. "I'm sure you've made your grandmother proud with this, and I hear an award nomination may be in the works. How do you feel about that?"
Supisy shrugged. "Acclaim doesn't really compare to a job well done to me. I'd rather do a good job for the audience than be lauded by critics, but I won't turn down praise."
Lyn nodded a second time before turning to Asa.
"So Asa, Donnie is pretty handy a mechanic, pilot, and swoop driver. Are you any of those things in reality? And also, can you give us a little hint at what's coming up in the rest of this season?"

Asa chuckled. Before being on set, she'd never so much as opened the hood on her speeder.
Oh gods no, not at all....I remember one of the first times I got on set, I had these garbled lines...I think it was when we were filming in the winter on Corellia for the Sith Temple...Anywho, so I have to spit out all this gobbldiegook, in one continuous take. Took like-
She looked over at Supisy.
What, 15, 20 takes?
Asa looked back at Lyn
Anyways, something ridicules...Oh, and I can't fly a swoop. They have the swoop Donnie uses rigged upto the back of a speeder and it's towed, there's a whole rig to lean it over and such, all I have to do is look like I'm flying it.
She took a sip of her coffee as lyn asked about the rest of the season.
Asa looked over to Supisy with a nervous grin, then out the window, thinking about what she actually could tell Lyn, what with the NDA and all.
As for hints...hah, well, I can say that Donnie's got a huge shocker in store for the season finale, and since it's obvious, the 'gang ends up on Courscant, I mean it's not that well hidden we're filming here, what with closing like 4 streets and a courthouse.
She finished with a laugh.

Supisy laughed at the memory her fellow actress brought up, remembering it instantly. There'd been a lot of mirth over that particular incident, and more than a little bit of teasing. Of course it wasn't as if she was without blunders herself.
There'd been that scene where she got hit by the fire extinguisher, and she'd actually been moving forward on the second take, getting hit in the head for real. That lump and trickle of blood hadn't been entirely fake, though it hadn't been nearly so serious of course. Just enough for people to tease her on set as a clutz. Well that and when she tripped over the floodlights.
The pale Twi'lek grinned over that and vouched for Asa.
"True, somewhere around twenty takes. And she's right about changes, let's just say everything you know is going to change. We've hinted at some of it, but I think it'll come as a surprise to most of the viewers."
Lyn grinned back, imagining Asa flubbing her lines in mangled Basic. Now it was hard to believe a woman with flawless Basic could really act in a pidgin dialect of it, and even speak Huttese! Now there was some talent she could appreciate.
"All right, I won't press you for any more show secrets. Now Supisy, I hear congratulations are in order?"
Supisy smiled a little. "Well I guess you read the gossip columns too. Yes, I am really engaged to a certain Ferrerro in real life. What you see onscreen isn't just acting."
The pale Twi'lek raised her hand and revealed a silver band with an emerald in it, and Lyn nodded approvingly before looking to Asa with an impish smile.
"So Asa, any wedding bells for you in the future, or are you happily remaining single? I'm sure there's more than a few fans out there who'd be happy to oblige if you're on the market."
