The time was the late hours of the afternoon, yet it was not the most calmed time in the city planet indeed the Jedi Knight Xue Aodh could only theorize if there was a time when something was not happening in Coruscant. However, most of the bustle was found outside the venerable halls of the Jedi Temple as old and as unchanging as it the Jedi themselves.
Well there were changes in the order and not everyone was the same although most Jedi kept to the same pattern of personality. Calmed, focused, kind, level headed and so on, those patterns did not exactly applied to the Jedi knight who at the moment rested his forarms against a railing watching the sun setting over the forest of buildings.
Xue Aodh the Jedi knight that rarely looked or acted like the ideal Jedi knight chewed on a bit of candy. His dirty blond hair was messy as always and his goatee the same as always. Yet his thoughts were somewhere else, thinking of what was to come. A padawan had been left masterless, the master lost faith in the order and left yet did not drag his student with him. This situation left the young Padawan without a guide...
Xue being one of those knights without pupil was one of the candidates to take the young student. The Rogue-ish knight agreed to talk to the Padawan and if there was something that made them click then Xue would take him despite his insecurities about properly passing on his ideals which walked on a thin line between the light and the dark.
Now the Jedi Knight was waiting on the outside passages of the temple, the air and the sounds of the city were there but not dominant . Here Xue would met this Valentanio DeMacio

Young Valentanio was wandering the halls of the giant temple, trying to maneuver his way through the massive complex and find his destination. He had a meeting with a Jedi Knight and didn't want to be late, though if he didn't pop up in the right place soon it was apparent that he would be running behind schedule. That's something the young Padawan didn't want to happen, so he picked up his pace from a walk to fast jog.
"C'mon DeMacio, Jedi Knight Xue Aodh must be around here somewhere. You can find him!"
The young boy muttered to himself quietly enough not to draw attention to himself, it wouldn't be in his favor if the other Jedi thought he was insane and tried having conversations with himself. Though it wouldn't be out of his character to converse with himself while bored.
Back to the point...
After a few more minutes of scouring the halls he passed by a room which opened into a balcony, inside he noticed a scruffy looking man. Messy, tangled, dirty blond hair and a goatee to match. The man, around mid thirties in appearance, didn't fit the look the part of your average, run of the mill Jedi. Valentanio would pin him as a smuggler if he saw him outside the Jedi Temple, though looks can be deceiving.
Valentanio entered the room and saw the massive ways of buildings down below, a giant sea of metal and glass. It was spectacular and the Padawan couldn't wait to earn a chance to explore the world outside this temple.
"Jedi Knight Aodh? I am the Padawan Valentanio DeMacio, you wanted to speak with me?"
The boy bowed to the Knight, who was leaned up against the railing of the balcony and peering out into the Coruscant streets.

Xue twisted his head to the side and looked back without moving his body after he heard someone say his surname. He inwardly shuddered at the formality of the boy. He arched his eyebrow and thought "Well well, what a looker" The Jedi knight mused watching Valentanio's eyes. Quietly the rogueish looking knight turned around and rested his back against the railing, he crossed his legs and swallowed the bit of candy he had in his mouth.
"Oh no need to be that formal around me kid," Xue smiled, and stood up to full height which compared to Valentanio was something but with other humans or aliens wasn't anything special. "I am the man yer looking far, Xue Aodh at Yer service" The not soo Jedi looking knight spoke calmly while stretching his hand out for a hand shake, the smile he made was a bit crooked looking but totally honest and heartfelt.
After the handshaking Xue turned back around and beckoned the padawan to join him. "So Val what do you feel when you look at the outside world?" Xue's eyes returned to gaze the landscape of buildings and the orange sun.

Valentanio shook the Knight's hand, the man's grip was firm and his hands were weathered and tough, DeMacio could feel the man's life through his hands. He was strong, rugged, and tough and he got all that from his grip and feeling of his hands. Val's, however, were small and soft from his inexperience and young age. That would hopefully change as he grew older.
"Yes, sir, errr... I mean Xue. I'll try to stop with my mannerisms."
When Xue turned back around and faced the sea of buildings down below, Valentanio got a good, hard look at his backside and noticed how much he towered over him. At least a good 9 or so inches, if not more. His lack of height didn't affect his attitude, but he couldn't help but to note how tall and muscular the Knight was. His previous master, an aging man, was on the frail side and kept a hunch so he was just a few inches taller than Valentanio and their weights were about the same. It would certainly be different to have a master who has the appearance of Xue. It would have it's pros, no doubt on that.
"A sense of pure awe comes over me, as well as a sense of determination because I am determined to find a master who will take me out into the world."
Valentanio walked beside Xue, leaning up against the railing in the same position as the other Jedi. It statement was true, even though he'd been a Padawan for a few years he'd never been outside of the Jedi Temple, but was determined to change that. Hopefully, if Xue became his new Master, he appeared to be the sort to do just that; take DeMacio out and into the world on missions. The young Padawan would finally be able to walk on the ground, feel the fresh rain on the sky, and breathe the air from somewhere other than within the confines of the Jedi Temple.
Alas, for now he'd have to settle for the faint few from the balcony.
"Xue, what do you feel when you catch a glimpse of the magnificent view?"
Valentanio turned sideways, now propping his left shoulder up on the balcony railing. The railing, not that tall for an average person, came up to the young boy's shoulder in height. Val always found his short stature amusing, especially since he knew many younglings that were taller than him.

"Oh its fine, working out the patterns that the caretakers drill into one as a youngling are not so simple to overcome, but ya'll get used to calling me normally in the future" Xue said, thinking to himself that the comment sounded a bit smart which gave him a pang of odd pride "Here I am sounding like one of those old masters ahahaha".
Xue pursed his lips as the young padawan answered a fitting answer for someone in Valentanio's current situation. However, the answer was not what Xue was looking for it was a rushed and it did not spoke from the heart to Xue. "This determination ye be speaking off, is it to see the outside world with a master? walk the outside world and experience it on yar own or is it to study it and rise about it?" Xue smiled looking at Valentanio and how he hopped to cling to the railing, the multicoloured eye boy looked so much like a youngling. However, Xue's smile was not a mocking one but similar when you see a cute animal doing something cute.
"Ye don't have to answer me right not, these is an answer ye have to think about it, many here on the order rarely ask this question to themselves" Xue paused, then licked his lips. "As for meself, I find meself drawn to the outside world, be involve in it and its troublesome troubles for I find meself wanting to see life and be in the currents it creates" Xue paused once more, then turned his attention to the world outside.
"Tell me Val. You don't mind if I call ye Val right?" Xue gave him a quick look and then continued speaking.
"What is it that yar be looking for in a master?"
