Name: Samme Malan
Race: Human
Age: 25 Standard Years
Height:
Weight: 203 lbs.
Appearance:
Birth place: Coruscant (lower levels)
Faction: Jedi
Rank: Jedi Consular
Bio:
Samme Malan, born a twin to the Gray Jedi; Toman Malan and Seko Malan. Assigned to a mission in the lower levels of Coruscant, the two bought a residence in a small rundown apartment-like area. Toman and Seko had infiltrated the ranks of a local gang known as "The Zealots". The Council needed to keep a close eye on this new gang because it was growing exponentially. In order to keep they're cover the couple socialized with no-one outside the gang and an elderly couple who lived in the apartment across from Toman and Seko. Although they never released a name to they're neighbors, the couple were still very friendly. Three months after the birth of Samme and Telvina, Toman and Seko had accidentally blown they're cover and were captured. The leader of the Zealots gave the order to execute the spies. Being the only people who knew of the children, the twins were now in the care of the elderly neighbors.
Although elderly, the couple loved eachother dearly and treated the twins as if they were their own children. Even with care and love, Samme and Telvina found urban life would be unescapable, food was scarce and money was a rarity. Growing up on the streets taught them thievery and violence, two lifestyles no child should have to know. Many other children would tease the twins for not knowing who they're parents are, due to the secrecy of the mission they would grow up not knowing who they're parents were and what they did for a living. They're first months and family history will forever be incomplete.
When Samme was 7 standard years of age. A Jedi Knight had come to his neighborhood on an undercover mission to retrieve information of the dealing of The Zealots Leader. Going about his daily activities, Samme decided to take some fruit from the local grocer. He was caught by the Jedi Knight, and was forced to return the fruit and dismissed with a warning. After a quick study of Samme and Telvina, the Jedi learned the twins were both force adepts. He spoke to the children of the Jedi Order and the force, but never told them they were able to use the force. Intrigued with the story whilst knowing the hardships of life, Samme made the assumption that these were simply fantasies, yet they wanted to hear more of these stories. Thus, they began to follow the Jedi from a distance. Blinded by their own excitement Samme and Telvina had not realized they had ventured into Zealot territory, which was off limits to them as it is unsafe.
While in the underground base the Jedi Knight was ambushed by 50 gangsters, and taken captive. Samme had seen the capture and told Telvina about it. Together they decided they would attempt to rescue the stranger. The Jedi knew the children had followed him so he allowed himself to be captured, their first test would be to free him. As the twins snuck through the base, Telvina found the Jedi's holding cell as Samme went in search of the KeyCard necessary to free their new friend. After Samme retrieved the KeyCard from the sleeping guard, the children were sent home.
After the mission had ended a few weeks later, the Jedi returned to Samme's home and requested the twins be sent to train to become Jedi. The Jedi had already spoke to the Council and scheduled a tour for the children. After much deliberation between the guardians of the Samme and Telvina, the couple had decided it would be best for the twins to move out of the slums and join the great order known as the Jedi. Upon arrival Samme and Telvina were seperated but were allowed to visit eachother so as not to form close familial bonds. Samme was a quick study and very social. He did well in all his studies and became proficient with defensive lightsaber techniques. The majority of his leisure time was spent in meditation or in the archives. During his time as a youngling Samme showed great potential as an intellect and diplomat.
A few years had past and the time came for Jedi to spectate the younglings practice duels in order to choose a padawan. Samme hoped for a respected and wise Jedi Master. The morning of the practice duels, Samme meditated attempting to calm himself and prepare for the pressure of spectators. He checked the list of scheduled practice duels. As fate would have it Samme was scheduled to practice against Telvina. At that moment, he knew the duel would be difficult and painful. Telvina is in some ways the polar opposite of Samme. She is very quiet and blunt, she utilizes a more offensive lightsaber technique and stance.
The duel began just as they were taught, with proper dueling etiquette, a bow followed by a short pause. The blades clashed together with a quick flash of light, a beauty you must see to believe. Samme knew if he was chosen then Telvina would feel less of a person and intimidated by him. Something he wasn't willing to cause to his twin sister, yet if he purposefully lost she would be cheated out a fair match. The best course of action he decided would be to allow the force to guide them.
Ten minutes past with no apparent victor, neither had been overexerted. Just five minutes longer and the match will be a draw. The thought of there being no winner distracted Samme, causing him to nearly be hit. He quickly shook it off and began focusing more on her movements. While dueling it is said you only think of three things; parry, strike and dodge. It ended in a draw, both Samme an dTelvina left the arena not knowing what to expect.

Dimmed lights, the preferred way of meditation among the Consulars. The deep trance continued, meditation, energy flowed through his body like lightning. The next few moments became visible as the presence loomed ever closer. Words assembled in his mind as he heard them as if spoken aloud.
"Power...Hatred...Greed"
Were these his own emotions or those of whom he sensed? The Zoom was louder than bombs as the lightsaber came to life, as quickly as such Samme activated his own. The twirling sabers in a dance, such elegance, as if pre-choreographed clashed with a beauty unknown to many. The blade hissed through the air in an attempt to hit it's target, like a homing missile on its way. The air was burnt as both laser swords flew onwards toward eachother each hoping to get past the other.
A series of grunts were exchanged as if they were battle cries pushing the locked lightsabers. Ever onward both fought. This sith apprentice would not pass through the consular. He said no words yet his thoughts were clear.
Kill...Kill....Kill...
Samme attempted to calm this dementedly twisted youngster, for only the calm can reason. Anger fueled this young man. Samme blocked every strike, and when there was a free moment to defeat this sith, he did not take it. It would be best to allow the boy to get all of his anger out of him. Let him tire himself out. Let him see that the dark path is the quick path...the quick path to a lifetime of misery. Samme repeatedly spoke;
"Please, let me help you. let me show you the light."
This continued for nearly an hour. Samme saw right through the boy as if he were a window. He saw the small spark of light, if only he could reach to it and have it tell the mind to slow down and reason. As Samme would try to touch him with the force, the boy would reject him. Over and over and over again, Samme tried with no result. The Jedi Consular shed a tear, knowing that he was unable to help this young boy.
Only recognizing tears as a weakness the boy grasped his training and began fighting as if he had just begun with full energy. Again Samme continued with only blocks.
A woman from outside the quarters heard the fighting and entered to investigate. The Sith, realizing he couldn't defeat the Consular and the Jedi refused to fight to his fullest, ran to attack the woman.
"AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!"
Samme then realized this young boy would stop at nothing to kill a Jedi. To prevent the sith from reaching the civilian, he used a force pull powerful enough to pull the boy all the way to Samme. Then hit the boy on the head rendering him unconscious.
"Oh my, thank you for saving me. I only came to see what all the ruckus was...I didn't know..."
"It's ok, you had no idea...all that matters now is your safety. I must leave, will you be alright?"
"Yes. I think so. thank you so much! I ... I won't tell anyone master Jedi, you have my word."
"Thank you, I appreciate it. I wish you well."
Samme continued carrying the prisoner and gave him drugs to keep him asleep. He must now journey back to coruscant and recieve counsel from the Jedi Council.
