Jedi:
Name: Niri
Race: Chidori
Age: 46
Height: 2’1”
Weight: 125lbs
Appearance:
She can usually be found wearing the robes of the order.
Birth place: Chidiki
Faction: Jedi
Rank: Knight
Bio:
Niri actually started off her life on Chidiki, where she was slobbered out like the rest of her family before her. And for a few years, she lived a completely natural and very boring life which consisted almost of nothing but sleeping, playing and exploring. Oh sure, it was peaceful but Niri was always nagged by the feeling of having something more which was, unsurprisingly, quite a common feeling on Chidiki. When the moment of change came along though, some of them began to doubt how great it would be to live a life of excitement; especially when that life meant years of servitude under some strange species or staying locked in a cramped cage for who knows how long.
She was captured when she was ten and dragged away from her planet by force, rescued at the last minute by a bunch of tree-huggers. Unfortunately, the rescue was mostly indirect as the overall attempt was actually a complete flop. Niri only escaped by the skin of her teeth when a blast that could have turned her to ash, did the same to her cage door instead. Of course, the first thing she did was make a break for it but in the end, being in space and all, she could only hide and so her freedom was short lived. As luck would have it, in the end it was all Niri needed though.
Once the slavers saw her cage they immediately thought her dead and so didn’t even bother searching for her, while she stowed away on their very ship. And when they finally hit land on Nar Shadaar, Niri didn’t hesitate to sneak out of the ship and was quickly lost in the crowds.
After spending a few days drifting along with the chaos that is Nar Shadaar, Niri got another chance when she finally ran into a Jedi; a bit of luck many on the forsaken planet would have probably killed for. The man, Ren, immediately spotted her force potential and decided to take her to the nearest council once his business on the slum planet was complete. This was Niri’s first taste of action, even if the mission was unofficial and all she did was watch. The mission was simple, to seek out a group of assassins. And while that may seem exciting, it took a lot of questioning, waiting and searching. Almost two year’s worth in which Ren began teaching Niri a few tricks. And even once he found them, he merely reported it to the authorities before taking Niri back to Coruscant.
This may have been dead boring to most but for a creature whose life mostly revolved around sleep, play and exploring; it was the biggest adventure ever! And so from that moment on, she knew she’d do anything to become a jedi.
There were little to no complications when she reached the council and she was soon put under Ren for training, since he’d already begun teaching her a few things anyway. From there, she led as uneventful a life as any Jedi could, meditating, learning and performing any tasks required of her, which again was all an adventure to her. She was finally accepted as a Jedi by the age of forty-six, for her strong dedication to the force and for passing the trials. Although, with this event, she may just be growing tired of being the calm, meditative type.
