So, what are you on the twisted social ladder of High School? Were/Are you the well-dressed (even if you have uniforms), socially advanced kid who is obsessed what others think of them? Maybe you were a reclusive, intelligent, socially awkward kid who never really fit in. Perhaps you're the Sister More Christian than you, and you were a member of all the Christian clubs.
Whatever you were/are, I'm sure it will work out fine. Moving on.
I'm actually preppy, in a masculine way. I try to always look my best, no matter where I go. I try to be nice to people, but I tend to stray away from the less respectable crowds.
Considering that we have a 60 person class, I know everyone and am in good standing with them. I could consider half of them friends and ten of them as close friends. I'm not the "don't know a stranger" type, but I'm relatively friendly and very talkative, for a guy at least.
As far as grades go, I made a 4.0 in the last two semesters, and have never made lower than a 86 on any report card. *hates bragging* So a lot of people think I am a genius, but the only reason that I make good grades is because I put a bit of effort and time into my schooling, unlike the majority of students.
Gosh, this was really personal.

In high school I was too things, nerdy and straight edge. I was a good kid with good grades, spent my time in afjrotc. Usually I could be found chatting about sci fi and fantasy, or history. Still can. The biggest change has been my politics. Going to college changes you, as do meds.

Not a member of the High School social elite? I look down upon ye!
But seriously, I would probably politely keep you out of my circle of friends. I don't like those that talk about video games in public. Or do I? All of us maniacal preppy kids are dumb and don't have our own opinions. Every single one of us.

I'll bite, because I like to brag every so often. And you asked.
So, I'm this... nerdy, jocky, geeky, tomboyish person, I guess. Some said I'm a geekier nerd, and others say I'm a nerdier geek. I've always felt sort of like a "jack of all trades" kind of figure, though I do lean more into a math/science area better. But I still enjoy certain periods of history (World History, ftw), reading/writing, and then I'm... kind of a fantastic artist. xD I've participated in everything from drawing to ceramics, mythology to creative writing, and language (though I hate it) to physics (<3).
I actually just graduated high school... at the Top 1% of my class. I swam three years in high school; the 500 long distance race and earned my spot on Varsity for two years. However, I don't dress like... a "smart person", I guess. I preferred jeans, t-shirts, and sneakers. Tomboyish. xD Short hair, don't wear make-up, and didn't give a damn. I was comfortable. People actually wondered why the heck I was in the advanced classes, and then my cover was blown sophomore year at an awards ceremony. However, I do occasionally dress up and... look like a girl. I do like dresses and looking pretty every so often. =P Prom, fancy parties, maybe just because. But you'll usually find me in jeans and shirts. xD
Due to my attitude, I had a hard time making lady friends. I wasn't into doing the make-up, dying the hair, painting the toe nails. I like video games and Star Wars, and I knew how to take a joke. I made friends with guys. I still, to this day, make better friends with men than I do women, simply because of my preferences and lifestyle. I'm okay with that, though. Among my closest friends are two women and one man, so, I obviously find some womanly friends to hang around with.
So... that's... it? Whoo! Yay for bragging! xDDD

Hold on a clock tick jakesnake, I'm a nerd. That doesn't mean I talk about videogames. In fact, I'm a classic nerd. I talk about Tolkien and Star Wars, I spend like no time on video games. In fact people who won't shut up about mass effect are the bane of my existence. As rugs can swear to.

(I'd suggest changing the 'you're' to 'your' :3) Listed hybrid since I'd be able to tick basically all of those things apart from the religious fanatic one. I've pretty much always been a nerd to varying degrees. But then again, everyone has something they get nerdy about. Early on in high school I was in the top level classes but never really stood out in anything, well, maybe math. I was however, on pretty much every sports team I could get onto and did alright playing them. But then I was out of school for a month, and I was unable to do any sports for 3 months, and I couldn't do any sports that had any risk of physical contact for 6 months. It was during this time that I discovered the internet and the rp forums and I timidly found myself drawn to participate. At first I did it just for fun and because writing helped me improve my abilities in English (which weren't very good at all for someone in the top class). Once I returned to school and I was gradually able to participate in sports again I found that I automatically cut down on a lot of them, sticking to basketball, karate and some athletics (discus and various running). I put a fair amount of time and energy into these things, discus for example I took part in some local and county school competitions for and I got my first Dan for karate during high school. But I was also writing more and found that as I gradually improved I came to enjoy it and its possibilities much more. So I became a bit more nerdy and bit less jock-like. I also found punk during high school with some of my friends and whilst I still consider myself a bit punky, I was never one for the Mohawk or any of that stuff 'cause it didn't seem relevant, to me, to what the meaning of punk was. I was also in a couple of bands and we'd perform at school, sometimes to the entire school. Because of my sporting and music I kinda knew most people and they kinda knew me and I got on with pretty much everyone I knew for the most part. To the point where after choreographing and participating in a toy lightsaber duel on stage in front of the entire school I was not ridiculed or mocked for it at all, which was something I kind of expected. As for grades and such, I was always aware that I was... decently intelligent, above average. There were moments when I might be on par with some of the smartest in the school, but usually I was too lazy to push myself. I pretty much coasted through every exam I've ever had (apart from my Karate ones 'cause those you have to push yourself for). Now, I'm not like some with the natural gift to get the highest grades without trying, I get decently high ones though, so it's always been good enough for me (not the attitude I should have but oh well). Think that kinda covers it all. Though in retrospect, I think there should have just been an option for The Awesome Jenno. And that, is how you end a post seeming like a pretentious butt-face.

I did put the Awesome Jenno option, but only you and I can see it.
And nice to see a variety of people!
Jenno and Squee, you two look like overachievers, perhaps I should have made that an archetype: The Ultra-busy overachiever who does everything.
Lemur, the Call of Duty nerds are the worst.

Lol. A lot of my friends called me an overachiever. xD I just.... didn't see the point in failing any one thing if I understood it. And you.... after people knew I was smart, I kind of loved/hated it. Loved because people knew and finally treated me as a smart person. Hated it because all the kids always wanted me to give them the answers, which I wouldn't do, and I made some people hate me there. Also I had teachers like me. Which always makes things easier in the classroom.
I just like to learn. -shrugs- I like to do my best. And it keeps me busy. If I sit around for too long, I will become insanely bored and beg someone to give me something to do. Part of the reason I became so involved with SWU during this lull of a summer: but I am so ready to start college. I'm excited. Because high school I found... annoying. Because you're not working toward a specific goal, you're not specializing in anything, and that's what I wanted most this past year. College is going to be fantastic even though my load is heavy for the first semester. I'm ready to learn. I'm ready to specialize. It makes me almost giddy.

Hybrid. I was a total gothy nerd, but I did have a bit of jock streak as I was absolutely fanatical with gymnastics. Yup, basically the shy goth girl, but with the irritating nerd aspect that would shoot up her hand to the sky to inform the teacher they forgot to give the class the homework assignment. Then would trot off to gymnastics training. That simple, just a girl whose life and loserdom was encompassed and consumed purely by schoolwork and academia and a love for gymnastics. Well... there were other things. Of course. But, in high school, that was the "archetype" I fulfilled.

I was that kid who was high most of the time, never in class, and managed to get 90's. I socalized with pretty well anybody who wasn't a retard, for the most part, and went to my share of parties. By the time I hit my Victory Lap ( year after grade 12 ), I was bored and decided to drop out and go be awesome somewhere else.

Bit of a hybrid here. :3 Graduated top (and I mean valedictorian) of my class with some work - AP Spanish kicked my butt. >.> The only real friends I had/have were either fellow roleplayers/weirdos, or had known me since birth, and you know what? I was (and am) okay with that.
I wasn't one to really goof around or anything like that, to the point where I was known as a bit of an uptight wet blanket, and I couldn't really care less about most pop culture, hence a bit of a nerd. =3333 Christian, but I'm not going to get all up in your space about it. No team sports, but I'm pretty dedicated to my martial arts. (Black belt here, going for first red stripe around Christmas time. =3) Add to that ten years of piano lessons, a proclivity for reading and writing, and a fairly normal sense of style, and what do you get?
Nerd/weirdo/loner/artist? Something like that. xD

Oh this is sort of fun. >D
I am the One and Only Kella, which is sort of like The Awesome Jenno, except exponentially awesomer. Don't worry, I'm not being pretentious, I'm generous -- Jenno got his awesome from me, he just doesn't know it, 'cause I'm sneaky. >D
Most of the time I don't even know where the beaten path is, 'cause I see some metaphorical mountain top or field of wildflowers and say, 'I WANT TO GO THERE!' and then just sort of run off in that direction. I really, really like confuddling stereotypes. xD It entertains me.
What I like best though is that I can find something in common with people from each archetype, without really fitting into any of them. I love bows and ruffles and nail polish and looking put-together, so I've always got some common ground with the Preppies (they wear some great shoes!). But I absolutely adore the game of soccer, and play with a ton of heart -- even if I don't have much skill, so I can totally empathize with the jocks and how they love the game.
Obviously, being here, I definitely have a lot in common with the nerds. xD I know what I love and I like to talk about what I love and I'm not ashamed of what I love, so I know I come across as nerdish from time to time. But, like, my interests are so random and diverse that I don't really fit into any one set of nerds.
As far as the weirdo... well if you know me, then you know.
I can bond with punks over music, seeing as my music tastes are random as well, and the class clown based on the fact that everyone knows I'm totally hilarious. =D And while I definitely make a concerted effort to not be holier than thou, I do get where they're coming from.
S'yeah, I'm just, like... -me-. xD Like, didn't even go to an actual 'normal' high school -- I got to be a super l33t future kid and do all my high school online. Which let me write and crochet and draw and volunteer as a soccer coach and lurk here and go shopping randomly and just be generally awesome. >D
Oh, and according to Silas, apparently I'm a genius, so I guess there's that too. <.<
The only thing I don't get is drama.
Fluff drama. D<

As far as High School went, Most people either didn't bother to get to know me, aside from a select few that ended up knowing me too well.
I didn't dress Goth ALL the time, Personally, I'd like to think that it was a good mix between Goth, Punk, Prep and whatever teeshirt was the cleanest that day.
Mind you, I was in Theatre and Choir actively throughout the entirety of my Highschool career, so...yeah, already pretty ostracized there. I did nothing to stop it either. My classmates were, for the most part, moronic sycophants to the Social Dichotomy between the Haves and Have-Nots. Those popular people who did get to know me ended up respecting me for my Views, even if we did disagree far, far too often.
It happens

I picked hybrid, though perhaps prep might have been the correct choice considering. I did sports in highschool and was fairly good at them, but I was more interested in the Debate team, which is incredibly nerdy until you realize that 1) suits are classy and 2) wit is deadly. The debate team looked down on basically everyone else even though most of us were in sports, played some sort of video game, and got higher than average grades. We considered ourselves a class of our own. Nerdy, but about weird stuff like thanatopolitics, treaties with Russia, India's agriculture, philosophies, political regimes, and small, unstable African countries. Wearing suits for week long tournaments was annoying, but class has a price. And then there were all those shiny gold trophies.
Aside from that, I pretty much coasted through essays, exams, and grades in general, GPA usually being around 3.5 or higher. Except for math. I'm terrible at math. I probably could've done better, but I'm lazy. So yeah, hybrid of Nerd, Jock, Prep, but more Prep unfortunately, lol.
