((OOC---this takes place after 'harboring bad thoughts'))
Space/approch to Druckenwell
It was nearing the end of the 24 Coruscant day now that Gharassk had been so used to. And he was growing hungry, there where minimal provisions on board the shuttle, at least pre cooked food supplies at any rate.
So after several hours of saber training with the single provided remote, and during the breaks he took he studied a data disc he had brought with him which contained a small portion of the Jedi library. At least a portion he hadn't studied yet, which where many. After all a vast knowledge as big is the one the temple held might have been impossible for a single life to study. Of coarse now Gharassk wanted to know if it was possible and made a mental note of finding out if there was a Jedi who had or could memorize, or at least read the entire library.
But for now his eyes had started to hurt, and body grew tired of hours of training. So now he took the task upon himself that was normally done for him and the pilots hadn't had the knowledge upon themselves.
Cooking.
After all 90% of the food the ship held was non cooked and he didn't think that the other two had much experience in cooking. Well neither did he, but he would view it as his extended self training. He also thought it was odd about how no one had asked him yet any way about his master, or how it was so easy for him to be able to get out and come along this mission. Have i already told them? Maybe it just wasn't occurring to any one, after all the other two Jedi had a lot on there minds as well.
Teer who was on a mission out of her comfort zone, and Lana, who was completely the opposite, yet to young to go on the mission alone.
Gharassk shook his head from thinking and returned to what was called a 'Cook Book', or at least on a data file, Bantha steaks had been a favorite of his when eating in the lunch hall at the temple, yet for some reason he felt put on the spot when trying to make it himself.
Along with that he had tried a soup he found in the cargo compartments, 'Aurebesh soup' was what it was called, one he had never actually tried before.
Of coarse while not paying attention while dreaming off about the events that might lie before him, the soup was now boiling, and steaks where starting to smell good at least, but as for the soup that might be different.
Gharassk jumped at the soup and grabbed at it with his mitts pulling it off the stove, in the mean time though he had bumped his head in the cramped space, the ship was meant for travel not comfort that was becoming apparent to him. YEOUCH!! Gharassk yelped as his tender head felt the pain pulsing.
Around that time he saw at least one person coming down the hall smelling the food being prepared, I'm trying my hand at something new, It'll be done in a few minutes and i Can only hope it's...Fair?! Gharassk had come to a lack of words for what he could almost promise was going to be a fail on his part.

As was her way, Teer Ka had risen early. If she had been on a planet with a sun to rise and set, she would have been up for the rise, and undoubtedly would have been watching. As it was however, she was still on the Jedi shuttle she’d been on for the past days with a Padawan of her own race, and another who was a close friend of her own Padawan.
Sirius was presumably functioning on his own, and Teer was giving him more distance and freedom from her than before, preparing him for the independence of Knighthood, even if he couldn’t see it. The veteran Weapons Master was sure her actions were right and appropriate, but she doubted her Padawan was enjoying her absence and the lull in training. But realistically if he wanted to further his training when he became a Knight, he’d have to do it without her.
Teer’s meditation was interrupted as she smelled something, a distinct aroma wafting through the corridors and into her temporary quarters. Resolved to discover the source, the Togruta Jedi rose to her feet, placing her akul-teeth headdress onto her forehead and tying it in place. However, she took the opportunity to leave her feet bare, forgoing her boots as she passed out of her room and in search of the scent.
Teer reached the galley only a short while later, and spotted Gharassk cooking something that looked like a cutlet of meat.
Hers was a curious duality of two cultures. On the one hand she was by birth and early childhood a predator from a carnivorous species, and one that often ate food raw. On the other hand there were special occasions and her upbringing in the culture of the Jedi that emphasized cooked meat. She could go either way, but her personal preference when food was cooked was rare, and somehow she had the feeling these steaks would end up well-done to burned.
Master Ka folded her arms and stood with her back to the bulkhead, watching the cooking endeavors with mild curiosity, noting that cooking was not an area of expertise for her. Certainly however she was still familiar with food.
It also served as a distraction from the mission they were on, the climax of which was rapidly approaching. Soon, very soon, she would be carrying out a diplomatic assignment that she was trusted with, by the very virtue of her superiors wanting her horizons broadened. Teer was, for all intents and purposes, a tool with a single purpose. Her whole life in the Jedi Order had been as a sword, an implement to strike with, defeating enemy after enemy and growing progressively more talented. However she was in the waning years of her prime. Granted she had the material to remain formidable for easily another two decades, but she had to have something to fall back upon, a way to serve the Jedi beyond martial might.
This was the test to see if she could become a Diplomat.
The burden of doing a good job was going to be on her shoulders. There was no one else to blame if this mission failed. It was all up to her.

[Switching color back to teal, hope ya don't mind Zett!]
Though not an early riser by nature, Lana had arisen in much the same hour as her compatriots. The Echani had sat cross-legged for nearly an hour, meditating, or trying to rather. She had been thinking about Sirius too much lately.
There is no emotion, there is peace.
Lana would recite the tenet over and over, but to no avail. She liked Sirius in a strange way she had never liked anyone else before. She would have to worry about it later. Now, she had a mission and she needed to focus.
The Padawan sniffed the air. The scent she detected was unique, like...cooking meat. Lana stood up, robed herself, and walked out into the corridor. There she saw Master Ka looking into the galley. She bowed slightly, and went to see what was going on.
When she looked into the kitchen, she saw Gharrask cooking some sort of meat, and had something or other in a pot. Lana nodded her head toward her fellow Padawan and turned to the other Togruta.
"Breakfast?" She said as she motioned toward the ruckus in the galley.
Waiting for Master Ka's answer, Lana could smell the delicious meal cooking, reminding her of how hungry she really was.

((OOC--- no prob on the color jake.))
Gharassk nodded at Teer as he could now tell, as she was soon joined by Lana.
He had now pulled the over soup from off the burner, and grabbed for the mitts again, reaching into the hot oven for the steaks, pulling them out on their tray.
Well...diner for breakfast i guess, First thing in the cook book that sounded like i could actually do it. Gharassk let his lips show a smile that wasn't forced, but real, and sat the hot tray onto a burn proof heat pad. Then cutting into the first of the steaks saw that it was no longer rare...in fact it barely had a strip of pink in it if at all. The soup on the other hand had fared much worse.
Maybe i should have cooked them seperatly... He said as a comment on his own cooking. Before taking one bite of each the meat and the soup, finding that the meat wasn't the best.... but.... it was eatable, the soup however had tasted much worse.
A word to the wise...don't eat the soup. Gharassk moved the soup away from the meat and sat it next to the cleaning racks, in time to hear the co-pilot enter and begin to speak.
"We'll be landing in about 30 minutes." Then without another word marched back out.
Well at least we have time to eat before we have to go. Grabbing his own plate moved on and grabbed himself the steak he had already cut off of and moved into the common room and sat down into one of the chairs...in fact it was the same one he had sat in when he got on board.
So Teer, you ready for the mission? Starting conversations was never his forte but he thought that sometimes when trying something new it was best to talk it out before hand...sometimes.

"Apparently," Teer answered Lana.
Steaks... in an oven? Teer was now royally confused. Steaks and eggs she could have seen as breakfast, but soup? And he was preparing it in such a random fashion...
Her bad feeling about this was increasing.
Master Ka reluctantly took a slab of meat onto a plate and emerged onto the dining area, sliding into a chair just in time to hear the young Padawan refer to her by her first name.
Teer stared at him with a truly withering gaze, wondering what exactly the problem was with Padawans these days who didn't refer to their superiors by titles.
"Did I give you permission to use my first name Padawan?" She asked pointedly.
This was exactly what she hated about young people. No decorum whatsoever.

Lana watched the culinary tragedy unfold as Gharrask desperately tried to prepare breakfast. She had never had soup or steaks for breakfast, but hey, there were a lot of things she had never done.
Once the co-pilot had informed them on their arrival, Lana immediately began compiling a list of diplomatic greetings and addresses that were appropriate for the dignitaries they would be meeting with. She had done her homework after all.
The Echani followed Teer into the galley, selecting a small steak. They didn't look so appetizing, and she wasn't all that hungry. Nerves and galactic diplomacy were never good for the appetite.
Once she had retrieved all of the appropriate utensils, Lana seated herself in the main room, not far from Gharrask. Her eyes widened when the younger Togruta addressed the senior by her first name. If possible, they widened even more when the master corrected him with such force. Lana wondered if her mouth was gaping...

Gharassk stopped mid bite feeling like a fool.
Once again what his former mentor lacked to teach him had came back to bite him in the butt. What was wore was he had called her that this whole trip. It didn't make sense to call one by 'master' if they weren't your own master, but Gharassk knew it was proper, and perhaps that thinking came only because he didn't know better.
I... apologize. I admit I wasn't taught properly. Many things my former master didn't teach me. I meant no disrespect.
I'm probably wrong but it never made sense to me, The Jedi don't put themselves higher then others yet they use such titles... Again I am deeply sorry.
Gharassk still didn't feel quite right to say master if said person wasn't his master, he despised titles, he felt them not needed, Jedi view themselves as equals don't they? In his past the only person he had ever used a title when naming was his own master, the Rodian Gwaldosa, Whom was the true reason he was even coming.
Gharassk took a deep breath and continued to eat dispelling wrong emotions, Why did you teach me such wrong things master? He thought back to several things that his master tried to teach him during his fall that where wrong. Am i to re-learn everything?
A trait that he had picked up and used everyone that he knew he had never called by titles, except one and now that person didn't even deserve it.

Not taught right?
Well that was certainly apparent. What Jedi Padawan didn't know basic decorum? Of course he should have learned that as a Youngling the way Teer had.
Perhaps the Dantooine enclave had been better about polite customs, or mayb the Order slipping with the times. Or both. It was hard to find the exact reason for why one Padawan would do something so grossly improper.
It became fast apparent from the caveat to the apology that the Padawan needed a quick lesson on organization and order. It was annoying to be forced into schoolmaster mode again, something she had rarely needed to use on Sirius. However, she was not out of practice too badly. Her blade was not rusted.
"Padawan, it is called the Jedi Order. Not the Jedi Disorder. We have organization, and as with any organization there are those above to be followed, and below to be led. A Youngling would be amiss to call you by your first name without permission, and you are wrong to use my first name without permission. I'm not sure what they teach at the Coruscant Temple to Padawans these days, but when I was a Youngling on Dantooine I knew the correct way to talk to Jedi Masters. Respectfully. I am not your friend, I am your supervisor and your mentor on this mission. You would do well to remember that."
Teer broke eye contact and cut off a piece of her steak and ate it, enjoying the satisfying taste of meat and the sensation of it entering her empty stomach. It would have been better served much rarer, but she had no aversion to cooked meat.
She had to admit the Togruta Padawan's cooking was better than his decorum.

Gharrask was just embarrassing himself now. He was making excuses for his past actions, and to make things worse, he was making them to one of the most strict and disciplined masters in the order.
Once Teer's lecture was over, Lana saw it fit to change the subject to something more productive. She took an experimental bite of the brown chunk of meat before here. It wasn't bad, it was actually rather well done. The Echani had not been aware of how famished she actually was. Before long, the entire bantha steak was gone. Real food was indeed well received, considering she had been surviving on dehydrated rations for the past couple days.
"So Master," Lana began, careful to note the Togruta's title, "Has anyone contacted you about our accommodations, or are we to secure them ourselves?"

Gharassk had finished his meal, and looked between the two around him. Even though he had told the truth to the best of his own abilities the blame was now sent to the order it self.
But it wasn't their fault...It was Gwaldosa...my masters fault. Gharassk had done what he could though and trying to set the record straight would be useless now, "Believe what they will, but the title doesn't define you, it's your actions." Words his former master spoke in the past before his complete fall to darkness.
Apparently not. Gharassk shook the thoughts and took his now clean plate to the cooking unit area. Without word he continued his way to his room.
He understood the older Togrutas words, he made a note to himself not to let himself make such a foolish move again. He sat legs crossed on the Floor now and called a data-pad to himself and powered it on-line showing roughly 15 minutes before landing. Then he made sure he knew where everything was that he would need,
Saber? desk, Robes? Bed, Com-link? Desk, Rations? With robes, Data pad? In hand.
He held no grudge to the others his mind was clear and calm, He Shut his eyes readying himself for the missions ahead, He would have liked longer but he was cooking a much needed meal.
He would have liked to have done things, said things differently but what was done, was done. He told himself to forget about what had happened he would need to in order to put the missions first...

Teer returned to her food after another quick glance that saw the young Padawan leave the table, probably to deal with the upcoming preparations more than anything else. Of course it was also possible he was going off to be emotional as children were so wont to do.
The Togruta Master was no telepath however, and she genuinely couldn't tell. Of course nothing would be gained by babying the boy. He had to learn, and experiences like this would teach him lessons as much as hugging him and giving him a sweet would. Probably more, as it wouldn't spoil him like a steady diet of candies.
Lana spoke again.
Inquiries about the trip. Practical, concise. Brevity was the soul of wit, and Lana had it in spades apparently. Yes, Teer was glad Sirius chose to spend time with such a girl. Too bad nothing could come of it, young love was, while foolish, very much so, it was also useful for producing the next generation. In another life, Teer might have endorsed such an existence for Sirius, but he was too dedicated a Jedi for that.
Further musings could wait. Teer decided to answer the question as swiftly and thoroughly as possible.
"We have been provided accommodations at a local hotel of the finest caliber. It is also the site of the arbitration, and both parties will be present there as well. The Union has provided a representative, and the corporate government has sent a representative as well. We meet them in two hours in a conference room. You will entertain them and sound out their positions while I will perform a security sweep, then when I arrive we begin. Any questions Padawan?"
Questions were, in Teer's experience, essential to any kind of group operation. While she usually worked alone, she had no qualms about team operations. Lana was shaping up to be an excellent teammate as well.
Hopefully this operation would work successfully.
"Oh, and Lana," Teer added, "Try to watch over Gharassk if you have time."

Listening intently to the Togruta's instructions, Lana finished her breakfast and set the plate down in the adjacent seat. Waiting for the older woman to finish, Lana nodded.
"As you wish Master."
Lana stood and grabbed up her dishes, then made her way to the kitchen. Before she entered, she heard Teer's final request. Smiling, she only nodded and said
"I shall try Master Ka, I shall try."
Once her dishes were properly put away, Lana began walking to her own quarters. While in the corridor, she felt Gharrask in his room, presumably meditating.
"I apologize for interrupting whatever it is that you're doing, but we are going to be landing in a few minutes. I would advise gathering your equipment." Lana said after softly knocking on the cold, metallic door, sounding a tad more harsh than she had intended.
Shaking it off, Lana continued to her own room across the short corridor. Gathering up her bag, which contained a spare set of Jedi clothing, as well as a set of modern, more feminine clothing. The bag also contained a datapad with details on Industry, government, culture, and history of Druckenwell. Other than that, there was nothing worth mentioning.
Grabbing her robe and lightsaber, Lana made a final sweep of the room, ensuring that she forgot nothing. Content that she had everything she would need, the Echani sat down on the bed.
Despite being a Jedi, the Padawan was usually very sure of herself. Today however, Lana was doubting her own preparedness for the mission. This would be her first diplomatic assignment since leaving the order, and though she wouldn't admit it to herself, Lana was nervous.
Realizing the time, the silver-haired young woman did her best to look composed and confident, despite the fact of the matter, and returned to the common room. She took a seat and silently waited for the landing.

((OOC---Sense lana uses teal, I'm going to swap Gharassk to Red For this thread.))
Gharassk had stood now and placed all his items that wouldn't go into his belt into a survival back pack, just before hearing a knock on his door, Lana's voice called through it, "I apologize for interrupting whatever it is that you're doing, but we are going to be landing in a few minutes. I would advise gathering your equipment."
Gharassk placed his outer robes on himself and then grabbed the backpack by one of it's straps and then left the room just as Lana's door was shutting behind her, he shut is door then continued down the hall to the cockpit and sat in a third seat to watch the landing. sat down just before the ship passed by thick clouds and revealed the city thay would be landing and spending the trip at.
The shuttle landed a few moments later and Gharassk went to the loading ramp and waited with the others before the ramp lowered.
To himself he thought, This is where the fun begins... And let out the slightest of sighs.

Once the ship had landed, Master Ka was the first one down the ramp, her feet carrying her out onto solid ground. Once there, the severe Togruta woman looked around, taking in the cityscape around the landing pad.
Land was a precious commodity on Druckenwell, and every inch of it was in use here. It was almost like Coruscant, standing on a floating landing pad, surveying tall buildings. The difference was that here one could see oceans in the distance, which were the bulk of the planet's surface in fact. It also meant there was a cool sea breeze Teer could feel on her face, which was welcome given the fact it was a hot day on the planet.
There were three men standing on the platform and waiting. The first, a Rodian, opened the door to an airspeeder, and the second and third (both humans) entered the vehicle, motioning for the delegation of Jedi to join them.
Teer slid into the airspeeder first, findinging the interior to be remarkably spacious, and more surprisingly finding it had vertical clearance for her montrals, the sensory organs most assumed to be horns.
Ashla was remaining behind. A formal meeting was no place for a bird of prey, and Teer understood decorum well. Her pet would remain on the shuttle, well cared for, even if she lacked the opportunity to stretch her wings.
Trusting the Padawans would follow, Teer focused her attention on the two humans in the vehicle with her. One was an aging man, with salt and pepper hair, clearly the one with some authority, and the other was young, perhaps Lana's age, clearly an assistant. Teer focused on the older man, and was rewarded as he spoke to her.
"Master Jedi, I am Cortin Dhelados, a respected citizen here on Druckenwell. I was chosen to mediate this dispute before your arrival. My attempts were... less than successful. I have been chosen to assist your party."
Teer nodded and looked to the Padawans, introducing each of them by name.

By the time the shuttle had landed, Lana was more than ready. She had double checked her bag and person, being sure not to leave anything on board. She had not been far behind Master Ka, the Echani keeping step with the Jedi three times her age.
Getting into the speeder alongside the Togruta, Lana heard herself introduced. She smiled, careful to maintain a neutral, polite body language. Legs together; not crossed, eye contact, straight posture, and facing the speaker.
Observing their hosts, the silver-haired padawan identified a Rodian and a pair of Humans, an aging man and a far younger one.
"A pleasure, Mister Dhelados. We appreciate your assistance."
Once she had exchanged pleasantries with the man, she remained silent, waiting to be addressed or instructed, but never growing complacent.
In truth, she was extremely nervous, this being her first REAL diplomatic mission. Lana didn't let it show, her poker face spoke confidence and authority.

Gharassk was the second down the ramp behind Teer, but once down the ramp he moved over to the right of the ramp to allow Lana to continue ahead of him first. After the two where seated comfortable he removed his backpack and sat down in the air car and sat it on his lap. Then He was introduced by Teer and spoke, Greetings Mister Dhelados. He gave a greeting bow of his head taking in the group that was around him, the greeting party was a Rodian and two other humans, inside the air car was a older man and his assistant.
He let out a sigh before realizing this mission was slightly out of his comfort zone, he shut his eyes and calmed his mind, he would have to worry about it for exactly one day before his own task came to hand.
When he opened his eyes the air car was moving away from the landing pad and into the city.

"And your companion?" Teer asked the man in a brusque, yet polite, tone as the airspeeder doors were shut and the craft lifted off. Within mere seconds they were on their way to their destination.
"My assistant Eric," Dhelados answered. "I assure you anything that can be said in front of me can be said in front of him."
Master Ka nodded, then fixed Lana with a look that indicated, hopefully, that she wanted the Padawan to ask questions. Certainly someone had to, and while Teer could go about it, Lana was probably the better choice to ask such questions. Younger, more personable, and more diplomatic.
Teer did have a method in mind, a purpose for her own detachment. If she let the others be heavily involved while maintaining a sense of separation for herself, she could better issue impartial judgments. She was going to carry out one of her leadership traits, leading by silent aura.
You didn't have to speak to assert authority. Teer knew that well.
It was just time for a different kind of leadership.

Remaining politely silent, Lana waited patiently as Gharrask entered the speeder. The older man introduced his assistant, assuring the Jedi that he could be trusted with information about the dispute. That would make things easier.
With Teer's assuring glance and the trustworthiness of all involved parties confirmed, Lana finally felt comfortable. She cleared her throat in a polite, slight manner, silently notifying the man that she was about to speak.
"Nice to meet you Eric. Please forgive our lack of formal niceties, as I am sure you understand what is at stake here."
Pausing a moment to let her words sink in, Lana continued, speaking with respect to the two Humans.
"If you don't mind Mister Dhelados, I would like to speak about the issue at hand. We were given few details regarding the conflict or its belligerents. I would be grateful if you could point out these details to me. What started the conflict? What does each side want? Perhaps most crucially, is either side willing to compromise? Forgive my brashness, but it is imperative that we know these things before progressing."

"I'm glad you asked Padawan. I'm afraid the situation is rather dire. It all started when the transportation sector workers unionized. It was done covertly over the course of a year. I'm afraid to say that it wasn't done without cause. Transportation workers have been given long hours, hard duty, and low wages. Despite all that, there has never been a union on the planet until now.
The union is threatening to go on strike now and cripple Druckenwell's transportation network, unless conditions are improved. The corporate government has said it might grant the request, as they call it, if the union is permanently disbanded. The problem is that neither side trusts the other, and they both feel it is a struggle for existence. Personally, I think some sort of compromise must surely be within reach, but I just can't see it. I hope you can find one."
Dhelados fell silent again, and Teer spoke.
"I'm sure the Jedi will find some way to make peace."
Dhelados nodded. "I hope so."
Just a few seconds later their airspeeder came to a stop and the doors opened.
