Mister Buracrosis looked as though he could curdle milk with a mere glance. This young Echani girl talking to him in such a manner, while her master didn't even deign to address them?
He was much put upon, yet he answered the following question.
"Of course we are reasonable here. The corporate government of Druckenwell has never been an unreasonable party, and we clearly value dialogue and systems to take care of our workers. We have regular channels designed to voice these concerns, and they work perfectly adequately-"
"If they worked adequately we wouldn't be here," Ranalli said bitterly.
"Perfectly, adequately." Buracrosis insisted.
Ranalli frowned. "They won't listen to reason and address our concerns. They care too much about their bottom-line."
The corporate representative glowered and opened his mouth to reply, but at that moment Teer waved her hand and spoke in an authoritative tone, her voice loud and carrying throughout the whole chamber.
"Enough!"
Both the delegates fell silent and stared expectantly at her, wondering what came next. Luckily Teer had been deliberating carefully as they all talked.
"By the of this session you will both agree on a package of guarantees to provide the workers in exchange for the disbandment of their union. Then you will agree to a meeting like this to update the terms of the pact every four years."
Teer gave them both an intimidating gaze, her dark eyes shooting them both the look she'd give to an unruly Padawan.

Both sides bickered and it felt almost like insults being flung at each other. Teer nearly yelled,
"Enough!" Gharassk looked slightly shocked at Teer, but that look was quickly replaced by his hand covering his mouth as he gave a smile. Gharassk wasn't humored by Teer, but at the fact that both intimidating groups had gone silent.
To himself he thought that Teer should keep to the diplomacy, and that if she had kept at it she would have the Sith shutting up too.
"By the of this session you will both agree on a package of guarantees to provide the workers in exchange for the disbandment of their union. Then you will agree to a meeting like this to update the terms of the pact every four years."
Gharassk was starting to tell Teer was getting impatient, she was skipping to the end of the discussion.
Gharassk was also thinking someone was about to ask for some sort of break, in order to think over terms alone.

The men were descending back into their dressed-up explanations and excuses. Lana was about to ask a few questions when Master Ka exploded next to her.
Lana was taken aback by the outburst, and almost commented, but thought better of it. She had the utmost respect for the Togruta master, and respected her judgement. Perhaps the padawan would even learn a lesson from her, that sometimes aggression is necessary to get your point across.
If Lana was taken aback, then the two men were paralyzed. In fact, Mr. Ranalli's jaw even dropped for a second. But she sensed something else about the men. They had been...humbled. Like naughty school children, they had been put in their place.
Now, all they really had to do was work out the details of the pact. Lana also had a feeling that there would be less petty bickering in this round of negotiations.

The delegates were both silent, caught off guard with the Force Teer showed in her commands. Like unruly Padawans who had been caught doing something forbidden behind their master's backs, they wore guilty looks on their faces.
Teer spoke again more calmly, laying down more facts and keeping firm control of the situation.
One of the beautiful things about Teer Ka was that she was an inspired leader, truly gifted with a sense of command. She could plunge herself into almost any situation and emerge in control, holding the reigns of the discussion and directing the flow of the encounter. It was also quite easy when she was the undisputed authority figure in the room, as was the case now.
"We will break for one hour, during which time you will both craft lists of concessions you are willing to make, and you will attend to any rest you may require. We will discuss these concessions after they are completed. You are now dismissed for your work."
The Togruta rose from her seat and motioned to the two Padawans to follow as she walked out of the room and into the hall, her black eyes moving from the younger to the older, searching for any sign of weariness or impatience.
Regardless, it was time for a break.
"You may both do whatever you see fit during this time. I will be in the steam room and my commlink will be with me the whole time. Meet me here in 50 minutes, and do not be late. You are dismissed."
Master Ka turned and walked off, her boots making no sound in the soft carpet of the hall as she progressed towards the area of the hotel containing her destination, debating stopping by the cafe for food and dismissing it in favor of cleansing steam.

Gharassk bowed with a slight sigh as he left the confrence room at a slow walk turning and seeing one group heading down one direction and the other in the opposit. Gharassk still wanted answers as to which side had sent the spy, he knew one way to find out, but he didn't feel like getting a lecture from Teer after she found out he was sneaking around the building looking for which side had hired the spy at the moment.
Gharassk simply went back to the room and planned on training a bit with his saber some more, but just as he had removed it from his belt the images returned, images that he normally got in his sleep, they where normally sent to him by his former master, they where images of pain from the people that Gwaldosa was toying with. Designed to make Gharassk feel pain for them and run to their rescue and run right into the Trap that was waiting for him. Something Gharassk was all to ready to do just to stop the peoples pain. The pain was enough to cause Gharassk to have a headahce and drop his saber hilt.
His hand ran to his forehead and he ran though what healing skills he knew to releave the pain. I can't hide this much longer... he said to himself as he called his saber to him and sat on the bed, he had now decided to leave on this night, knowing they wouldn't be gone by then...
He sighed and cleared his mind removing the images, and made sure his bag ws ready for a quick get away tonight. He got rid of the thoughts so that no one would find out his thoughts.

Pleased with the recent unfolding of events, Lana just nodded when she was given her instructions. Always the cordial type, she gave a shallow, polite bow before leaving the conference room. Not having any real plans, she decided to return to the hotel room.
It was only a few minutes before she was back in their shared quarters. It seemed to be just as they had left it, pristine and undisturbed. A quick survey of her surroundings revealed that Gharrask had returned as well, earlier than her for some unforeseen reason.
Respecting his privacy, the silver-haired Jedi made it to her own room, shutting and locking the door behind her. Setting her few belongings on the bedside table Lana laid down on the recently changed bed spread and cleared her mind.
The padawan enjoyed meditation, it brought a certain sense of serenity to her life. It also got her minds off of things, especially Sirius. But rather than meditating in solitary peace on a temple terrace garden, she was sprawled on the bed thinking about her friend. Friend is what she forced herself to call him anyway.

Master Ka arrived in the spa area, where she attracted some attention, passing by the attendants without question on her way into the changing room, where she stripped out of her robes, neatly folding them up and placing them inside a locker. She wrapped a towel around her lithe frame to cover her anatomy, and then she walked out into the steam room itself, her lightsaber still in her hand.
Master Ka was in the habit of being prepared, ready for a fight at any moment. Her lightsaber never strayed from her side, day or night, and the weapon was impeccably designed and machined, completely resistant to corrosion. The steam wouldn't harm it in the least bit.
Teer cast aside her towel and moved into the room, unable to see more than a few feet. She didn't need her eyes however, as she could feel every inch of the room ultrasonically, and if she'd wished she could have used the Force to see, even through the walls. Right now she didn't need her eyes, all she needed to do was place her nude body onto a seat against the wall and allow herself to relax.
The heat of the room was magnificent, and the Togruta Jedi relished the warmth, savored the moisture in her lungs and on her skin. It was delightful, and she lapsed into meditation for a time, only peripherally aware when another person came and then left again. She didn't extend a greeting, and neither did the other guest. They mutually ignored each other.
Finally Teer's sense of time told her that it was time to leave, lest she be late for her deadline, so she stood and walked out of the heat, shivering a little in the comparative cold of the room. She dried herself off with her towel and walked back into the locker room, pulling on all her garments once more and making her way back up to the meeting room, where she buried herself into work once more.
It went better than she'd anticipated, with some concrete offers made, and then refused, with counter-offers planned. Master Ka had intervened once more and assigned them homework overnight, to come up with six counter-offers each, and she'd made it quite clear they were going to find one both sides could agree on most closely, and then she would select it.
They'd agreed to Jedi arbitration, and this was it.
With negotiations closed for the day, Teer had dismissed the Padawans, allowing them recreation time to do anything, and she herself had gone for a long walk in the fresh air, stopping off for dinner, and finally arriving back to the Hotel much later. She had, of course, kept in touch with them both every hour by comm link. Then she'd headed to bed, undressing and laying herself between the sheets, falling into a light sleep in anticipation of an early morning.

The rest of the day was long. After Teer returned they had another discussion with the two sides before Teer ended the session for the day only to say they would pick up where they had left off tomorrow. Gharassk simply meditated and trained on the time Teer had given them. He had slowly brought bits of food into his room to avoid suspicion and put the cans and other types of food into his survival bag that he had brought with him. The only thing left to do was wait for the others to go to sleep. Once the lights went off in the apartment Gharassk was ready but he wanted to hesitate, he didn't want to get punished for helping others, but he didn't want them to die either. It was to late to back out now, he would have to time everything perfectly. He decided to make a recording to explain why he had left and to ensure they knew how to find him, in fact he was counting on them catching up with him. Recording:Gharassk appeared on the palm panel arms folded and hood lowered. He began speaking. Master Teer Ka and Fellow Padawan Lana. I am aware that you are likely not going to view me very highly for this, but i have bought a ticket and am on Rodia by the time you are seeing this. I am not running away from the order, or from the mission for that matter, i am leaving to catch a criminal named Gwaldosa, if you research him before you come you'll understand my viewpoint better. He is holding prisoners on Rodia, and i know I'm walking into a trap, the reason i didn't tell anyone tell now is because he will kill them if i don't come alone. It's possible you don't believe me, but this needs to be done.
I am sorry...A bow was made before the image fizzled out.
He left the recording on his bed and made sure the door to his room was locked before opening the window and putting his back pack on his back and jumping out the window. He wasn't able to land safely from so high up, so he made sure he landed on several windows before grabbing onto a light pole and dropping to the ground. He made it to the docking bay where he started his long search for a pilot leaving Druckenwell and heading straight to Rodia. It was roughly an hour before he made it off world and the long trip to Rodia began, he didn't really trust the pilot but it was his only chance to get to Rodia without stilling a ship. ((End. To be continued on {part three: Rain Drops swrponline2.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=rodia&thread=18043}))
