I'm still working on my first character here, as well as making NPCs and a ship for him. I intend on waiting until I've got everything he needs made before I post him, typing everything up on my WIP site. Problem is, I ran into a little trouble when it comes to ship dimensions. The ship is meant to be virtually identical to the USCSS Prometheus ( or at least of equivalent size and dimensions, if the Prometheus is already in use). For some reason, I'm having difficulty looking at the references and determining size based on them. I have all the other information I need thanks to the AVP Wiki. That doesn't mention any physical dimensions, though... so I'd like a little help in figuring out the details I need. If someone would be so kind as to volunteer their guesses, I'd appreciate it immensely. I've linked everything I think could help determine dimensions for both the cargo capacity and total size. The following are the dimensions I need... Height: ? Width: ? Length: ? Cargo Capacity: ?

Hey I'm Adobi Wan Kenobi and i thought I'd give a hand here. First off we go through the detentions of the site which is metric so a meter is 3.2 feet roughly.
I used the bridge as a base plate and if it's size is what i think it is my estimate should be pretty close, however i may be off by quite a bit, but here i go.
Height: I'd say around 27 meters when it's in the landed mode probably a little less in the flight. Width: around 20 meters Length: around 30-35ish meters Cargo Capacity: this is where my skills come to a lack of knowledge sorry. Though this is in Tonnage
Hope i was able to help tough. ;D

Hi! Thanks for the input. I'm not sure those specs match up, though. That would place it in the same size range as the Millennium Falcon ( L= 34.37m, W= 25.61m, H= 8.27m). Just looking at reference images of the Millennium Falcon tells me that the Prometheus is much larger. I've underlined the images I think are most helpful in determining size. Just the hangar of the Prometheus is probably as large as the Millennium Falcon itself. Perhaps not quite as wide, but certainly as tall ( at least at the entrance, the interior may have a higher ceiling). The "Vehicle Comparison, Interior" image of the Prometheus shows this when compared to the "MF Exterior" image of the Millennium Falcon. Now that I think about it, all I need to do is compare the hangar to the Millennium Falcon to get its dimensions, and then compare that to the rest of the ship. I have difficulty with visual-spatial perception ( perhaps related to having Asperger syndrome, if not just poor visual-spacial skills regardless), though. While I can see that certainly one ship is larger than another, and I can compare the size of the Millennium Falcon with the Prometheus' hangar with the visual aid of the people in the images... it is using that information to map out the dimensions of the rest of the Prometheus that I'm having trouble with. Thank's for the link, Lemur! That will help me a lot. Once I get the L/W/H, I can probably just guesstimate the cargo capacity by comparing the ship's overall size to other ships using dimensions provided on the both the Star Wars and Star Trek Wikis. Then I can try to double-check it using TEU measurements. I still need help getting the L/W/H, though. Any volunteers? Okay, based on the size of the armored car (which I estimate to be 2.5 meters) and scaling it down for distance, I used it as a size comparison to guesstimate it starting from the hanger on the bottom.
Height: around 40m (sitting on the ground) Length: >200m (engines down) Width:>160m (engine to engine)
I'm not going to lie to you, I think that has just about if not a bit more volume then the IJN yamato. Going by the wiki, most of that space is either going be devoted to either cargo, scientific equipment, or computers, based on the featurette, you're looking at way more computing power then you're gonna every need regardless.
Cargo capacity: 3000 cubic meters? (that's what I would go with anyway)
