Name: Nanjah Durane.
Race: Human.
Age: Twenty-Three, 23.
Height: Five-Feet & Seven Inches, 5'7.
Weight: One-Hundred & Twenty-Four Pounds, 124lbs.
Appearance: Nanjah Durane is exotically beautiful. Her hair is the colour of Tatooine's golden suns and cascades like a waterfall, reaching down toward the middle of her back, but this is no more striking than her piercing eyes that are a shade of icy blue hidden beneath long eye lashes and placed symmetrically into her almost colorless face, brimming, to the point of overflowing with a cold seduction. Her figure, feminine and pale like a porcelain ornament and seemingly as fragile, also appearing to be light as a feather. Her beauty is both unnatural and breathtaking – a nightmare in motion, yet poetry personified – and few can tear their eyes away from her. Nanjah is a combination of both beauty and chaos. She strives for perfection of her appearance for that is one of many weapons in her arsenal. She has gone under the knife to “enhance” herself in certain areas of her body, particularly her nose and breasts. Although she is naturally a brunette, she died her hair platinum blonde sometime just before she fell to the Darkside and became a Dark Jedi. Her hair is slightly wavy but she straightens it most of the time and it is just a few inches past her shoulders.
A face of beauty, she is gifted with high cheekbones and her skin is as smooth as silk. Her nose and lips have been surgically altered bringing a fullness to her lips and her nose made more full and straightened. She has a seductive smile that covers up the many secrets of her life. Nanjah has the best body money can buy and she intends to keep it that way. With an hour glass figure she works out regularly and maintains a healthy diet.
Unlike other Dark Jedi, Nanjah dislikes the traditional robes of the Jedi Order. Instead, she chooses to wear tight-fitting leather which accentuates her feminine figure by further defining the curves of her body and revealing quite a bit of cleavage from her breasts. Her outfits are usually accessorized with long arm-length gloves which also serve to conceal the cybernetic replacement of her right forearm and hand. She wears a spaulder over her right shoulder, though this serves more so as an accessory rather than a tool in battle. Her style is not always the latest in high fashion and couture, instead dark tight-fitting leather is her preference. She is aware of her figure and dresses accordingly to show off her best features. Her signature color is black, which most of her wardrobe is this color. It is a rare thing to ever see her not wearing the shade.
Personality: Nanjah Durane is a most foul-mouthed, and disrespectful Dark Jedi; she frequently swears and complains at allies and opponents alike, contrary to her noble heritage and Jedi training. She rarely used honourifics when speaking to her master and superiors, and, even then, usually as a form of sarcasm. She was the only Padawn her master trained who did not particularly respect the Jedi Council, but kept these feelings hidden from those she encountered for quite some time. She openly declared her willingness to kill if necessary to her master.
Nanjah has absolutely no moral restraints regarding the people she kills; she considers it an exotic pleasure and often takes considerable enjoyment in making her opponents' deaths as painful as possible. Nanjah's behavior in battle borders on insanity; she is frequently heard shrieking loudly while attacking, and laughing maniacally when she is about to deliver a killing blow. She also appears to be quite spiteful towards her enemies and nearly everyone else.
However, her natural proficiency makes her arrogant, and on occasion influences her to engage opponents with no regard for strategy, save to overwhelm them with her onslaught. Although ridiculed for her foolishness by her opponents, she retains her arrogant attitude even under these circumstances, using her frustrations and anger to fuel her assault. Interestingly, she seems to panic when faced against a powerful force-user as she herself lacks advanced force-training. She doesn't particularly like it when others assist in her battles, and only calls for help when she decided she needs it.
When not engaging in battle, many consider Nanjah to be quite rude as a result of her outspoken and painfully blunt comments, often making statements depicting her more or less as a spoiled brat. She considers herself to be of a higher-class than those of the common-class or the common Jedi, and as a result has grown quite vain. Nanjah is one who craves attention and makes it her life's ambition to command the masses with her beauty and presence alone. She has been known to respond violently to negative criticisms of any sort; a trait inherited from her mother despite not knowing her for but five years of her life. She finds comfort in surrounding herself with those of great wealth and of origins of nobility like herself and is driven by the allure of wealth and status.
Birth place: Alderaan.

Rank: Knight (Marauder).
Lightsaber: Nanjah Durane's lightsaber is of the double-bladed variation of the lightsaber. The hilt extends just short of 2.5 feet in length, and has a diameter of 1.5 inches. It's casing is constructed of an Alum and Agrinium fusion alloy which in itself has some minor resistance to blaster fire and the beam of a lightsaber's blade and gives the hilt it's darker color. Within the saber's casing lies the major components of the typical lightsaber. However, certain components have been modified over many years to better suit Nanjah's combat style. Both blades contain pink crystals found on Ossus which she acquired during her travels. Both ends of the weapon posses combination emitters of the disruptor and phobium variant. It also possesses emitter shrouds to prevent Nanjah from accidentally coming into contact with the blade. The two blades lack a pommel cap, though in the center of the hilt lies the power-cell of the lightsaber itself while both blades have power-cells of their own should the hilt be split in the middle. Its balance is perfectly centered, which allows Nanjah to perform quick and powerful flurry attacks that serve simultaneously as an offense and defense. The blades can be ignited at the same time or separately and extend three feet in length.

Nanjah Durane, a Human female, was born on Alderaan to a wealthy and noble family. Her father, Senator Leon Durane, became well known in the senate for his aggressive nature and pro-war stance. Nanjah's mother was a notorious socialite who was known for her provocative dress and outrageous spending habits as well as her status as an heiress to one of the Sith Empire's top military research and medical firms. Their union gave Leon much needed leverage in the Republic Senate and to secure their marriage quickly conceived a child with her. After nine months, their daughter Nanjah was born; a beautiful brown-haired and freckled baby girl.
As it was customary for children born in Republic hospitals to be given tests for force-sensitivity, Nanjah was no exception. When her test came out and she was declared force-sensitive, her father declined the Jedi Council's request to take the child in for training as a Jedi Knight. She spent the next few years studying under the watchful eye of their family Governess who essentially raised Nanjah. The Governess taught her how to read and write, and discovered her natural aptitude for learning. Nanjah was a relatively active young girl. Spending much of her time in her family estate's massive garden, she would run through the beds of flowers kicking up dirt and plants. Her mother often scolded her for dirtying herself, stating that it was unladylike. When Nanjah made a mistake, it reflected not upon her or her parent's failings. Instead, her Governess was often struck for her misdoings; something Nanjah witnessed on many occasion.

With tensions growing between the Sith Empire and the Republic, Nanjah's father was beginning to reconsider his stance in the Republic. Talk of tensions between the Republic, the Empire and the Mandalorians were beginning to surface and a widespread hysteria was beginning to spread throughout the galaxy. Believing he needed to secure his assets in the coming years, Leon had begun formulating plans which would grant him the appearance of a neutral stance between the three great factions. While his wife secured their family's stance in the Sith Empire, Leon worked within the Senate to casually fall back into a neutral stance. With the Jedi Council working alongside the Chancellor, Leon knew he needed to find some way to gain some kind of leverage against the Jedi Order if need be. Then the idea struck him. Nanjah.
Over the next few days, a darkness fell upon the estate. Screaming filled the mansions halls and corridors as Nanjah's mother and father argued the fate of their daughter. While her mother felt it was unneeded and did not wish to loose their daughter, her father felt quite differently. As all politicians do, he sought to sway her opinion with his silver tongue; enticing her with the promises of jewels and a better life in the coming years. Despite this, her stance on the matter was set. She refused to part ways with her daughter and that was the end of it. Night fell and the house was silent.
Nanjah was shaken from her sleep by her father, smoke was beginning to fill her bedroom. Leon lifted her from her bed and carried her into a a wide corridor which shrouded in smoke and flames. They moved through the hallway and down the stairway, all the while hearing the screams of their servants who beat violently against their mysteriously malfunctioning doors. The two made their way outside only to witness the grounds set ablaze and their estate burning to the ground. Nanjah looked around for her mother, but could not find her anywhere. She fought against her father hoping to run back into the blazing house to find her as the tears poured down her face. Leon simply held her back and she fell to the ground and sobbed.
The next morning, the blaze had burned itself out and security officials were on the scene assessing the situation. Unfortunately, their entire staff perished in the blaze and the body of Nanjah's mother had unfortunately been recovered. Within the next few hours, the two were on a shuttle and on their way to Coruscant. When they finally arrived, Leon hurriedly escorted Nanjah to the Jedi Temple and released her into their custody. He told her that he would come back for her and to never forget who she was. Then he departed. It would be the last time Nanjah would see her father for many years to come.
Youngling

(3625 - 3618 BBY)
As a youngling, Nanjah was considered to be socially awkward even amongst her clan. Despite this, she excelled in her academic endeavors with an aptitude for writing and mathematics. As the months passed, she was instructed in the basic manipulations of the Force. Although she quickly mastered the fundamentals of her Force training, she began to display difficulties in her finer manipulations as their lessons progressed.
Once they were deemed ready to begin their basic instruction in the saber arts, Nanjah quickly rose to the top of her clan as a duelist. Though they were only taught the basics of Form I, Shii-Cho, she displayed a natural aptitude for saber combat. Between remote-training and group training exercises, Nanjah began to create a wide gap between herself and the other younglings of her clan. As the years passed and her skills continued to grow, she had began to display flashes of arrogance and cockiness. During training duels, she would mock her opponents and use her superior aptitude for lightsaber combat to embarrass and humiliate her opponents which resulted in her being scolded and punished.
When Nanjah reached the age of ten, as it was customary, she and the other members of her clan were given their initiate trials. Despite her average performance in the Force trials, her skillful display during the dueling portion of the trials impressed many of the younger Knights, but the seasoned Jedi Knights and Masters saw much arrogance in her. Because of this, she was not chosen as a Padawan once the trials were completed. Nanjah's frustrations and anger began to manifest itself in her day to day dealings. She continued to attend classes as she still had time to be taken as a Padawan, but she felt as though she was wronged in not being chosen.
As yet another year passed, the instructors began to feel as though she was not fit for the path of a Jedi and instead would be more suited to work in the Corps. They took the matter to the Council of Reassignment, and they took their time dealing with the matter; believing there was still hope for Nanjah. Despite the Council's patience in the matter, her behavior over the next few weeks did little to help her cause. The Council came together to assess her case, the majority leaning toward her commitment to the Jedi Corps, but her fate was saved when Doni Nourdeen, a young Bith Jedi Knight of the Guardian path, stepped forward and offered to take her as his Padawan. The Council hesitated to agree to the apprenticeship as the young Bith had been Knighted just eight months prior. Despite this, the Council placed their faith in the Jedi Knight and agreed to allow him to train her believing it to be a test for the both of them.
The Path of a Jedi

Training continued within the temple as it was customary for younger Padawans. Much to her detest, the first few weeks were spent reviewing rudimentary details of the Jedi Code and lectures of the dangers of the Darkside. Nanjah watched as the others of her clan trained with their masters, learning useful skills in the Force and advanced lightsaber combat training. Her master too began to tire of the constant lectures and lessons, though the Council's watchful eye kept him weary of shifting to other lessons. As her first month as a Padwan passed, Nanjah had become well enough versed in the Jedi Code for one her age -- capable of reciting each line and tenet while explaining their true purpose.
Doni finally felt as though Nanjah was ready to begin her real training and the two began meeting in the meditation spires of the temple. There they spent many hours working on meditation rituals to clear her mind of her frustrations, but despite this, she still felt as though she was being held back for whatever purpose. When they were not in the archives studying the history of the Jedi Order or in the meditation spires, the two could be found in the lower-levels working on strengthening Nanjah's physical being. She took to wearing slightly weighted clothing during her training exercises to add resistance during her push-ups, sit-ups and sprints.
The months carried on and their routine became increasingly more difficult as they began spending less time in the archives and in the meditation spire and more in training facilities of the temple. Once Doni had presented Nanjah with a generic lightsaber model, the two began training in lightsaber combat. They would spend hours on end performing sequences from Form I, taking but a few breaks in between to allow her to meditate upon what she learned before resuming. Doni saw much potential in her ability, though due to his inexperience as a master and a Jedi Knight, failed to realize that there was a darkness budding deep in her heart.
As the years passed, Nanjah, now thirteen, had began training far more intensely with her master as she and her Master began utilizing the obstacle courses of the temple's training facilities. The course consisted of tall pillars of varying heights and widths which stretched upward from a deep and dark pit. The objective was simple, make it across, but many failed and use of the course often times resulted in serious injury to those who made but a single error which caused the Council to shut the course down to general use within the temple. However, a few Knights and Masters often visited the course to train their acrobatic feats and their control over their bodies through the force. Doni had introduced Nanjah to the course, explaining its purpose and demonstrating how to properly cross it. It looked simple enough, but as Nanjah stepped up to the starting platform, her master immediately told her she wasn't ready yet. Instead, he began training her to manipulate the force through her body to perform miraculous feats of agility and acrobatic skill; something she quickly showed an aptitude for.
The months continued on and Nanjah's skills had continued to progress and refine themselves. She worked harder than ever, feeling herself growing stronger through the force and in her saber prowess. They trained alongside a few other Padawans and their masters, dueling and performing exercises with the force. Although in her youth, she lacked the ability to properly manipulate the force to higher-degrees, with the assistance of a Consular of which trained alongside Nanjah, she began to develop an aptitude for telekinesis. It began with small objects at first. Pencils, datapads, holo-books -- but as the weeks passed, her skills began to strengthen and show far more promise than many believed she had in her. Her master taught her the art of Moving Meditation which would further develop her telekinetic abilities, though the idea was simply not his own. One of the masters of which they trained alongside sensed Nanjah's frustrations and believed such a form of meditation would prove useful toward taking her mind away from such things.
Despite her lessons in the Force, Nanjah's instruction still focused heavily upon lightsaber combat. Once she had achieved a relatively firm basis and understanding of the advanced forms of Shii-Cho, Doni began introducing her to Form IV, Ataru. Because of her naturally aggressive nature in combat and aptitude for force-based acrobatics, he believed this style would be quite beneficial to her if she perhaps learned to focus through the force rather than relying on her aggression alone. They spent the next few months focusing once again on training her body to handle the physically demanding aspects of the Form. Nanjah began training on the obstacle course Doni introduced her to with the assistance of safety harnesses to help refine her force-acrobatics. To help develop her force sense, he would occasionally throw foam balls, similar in size to the Temple's training remotes, and tell her to close her eyes and feel them through the force. Initially, she had much difficulty performing this feat, often peaking as she leap from pillar to pillar avoiding the foam projectiles.
The High Council requested that Doni rejoin a mission he began alongside two other Masters and another Knight in the Outer-Rim. He couldn't decline and left Nanjah in the care of a close friend and Jedi Master who would continue her training until he returned. He introduced himself as Rodrick, a Human Jedi Master with a muscular build and wild graying hair. The man walked the path of the Guardian as well, and garnered a reputation for his intense training methods and his skill with the lightsaber. Upon Doni's request, he began teaching her the history of the lightsaber, depicting it as a tool rather than a weapon. Despite this, Nanjah sensed a hollowness in his words; he was simply reciting the words. Unlike many other Jedi of the Order, Rodrick utilized an exotic model of the lightsaber which utilized not one, but two blades from a single hilt. During her morning drills, she watched as the master practiced exotic sequences to the side with the double-bladed lightsaber. She became infatuated with the lightsaber type and knew that was the variant she would construct. After a few weeks passed, Nanjah had been taught all she needed to know to construct a lightsaber by Rodrick before he was summoned by the Jedi Council and assigned him as backup for Doni and the other Knights who chased a cult of Dark Jedi to a planet just beyond the border of the Outer Rim and Wild Space.
After Doni made contact with Nanjah via holo-message, the two spoke for quite some time. He gave her a series of drills to perform in his absence, and listed off a few masters who could assist her if she needed it. Yet another Jedi would look after her during this time, a Nautolan female Consular by the name of Mila who was well known for her work as a Jedi Artisan. She told her master of what she had learned from Rodrick which he was pleased to hear. Nanjah expressed her curiosity in the double-bladed variation of the lightsaber and her desire to construct one as her first lightsaber. Doni didn't agree with her decision and told her that she needed to give it more though, explaining that the variant was difficult to control and could prove far more dangerous to the user if utilized by an inexperienced hand. Not that she would listen.

Nanjah sat within the meditation spire utilizing the moving meditation arts with her training saber and a few other small random objects. Her focus was broken as her comm went off and she heard an unfamiliar female's voice. She introduced herself as Mila and informed her that the Council requested that she look after Nanjah while her master was away. Mila requested that she meet her down by the Temple's main corridor to accompany them on a mission to secure a shipment of parts and tools to repair the many damaged training droids the Temple housed. Upon her arrival, Nanjah stopped in her tracks as she noticed the tall Nautolan female and her apprentice, a sixteen year old male Hapan with beautiful features reminiscent of a young prince with a well-toned tanned body. It was here that Nanjah's first crush developed. Mila called out to the young Padawan, beckoning her over. When she neared the two, the young Hapan bowed with the graceful charm of a noble and greeted her; introducing himself as Moran Bael. Once introductions were shared, the three set out into the city via transport.
This was the first time Nanjah had been out into the city since her first arrival on Coruscant, but her eyes were locked elsewhere. She was infatuated by the boy, she couldn't explain it. It was unlike anything she had ever felt, it was warm and enticing. The transport lulled to a halt and descended on the streets just outside of a warehouse which was oddly enough surrounded by members of the Coruscant Security Forces. It seemed as though the warehouse had been broken into and many supplies had been stolen. There was but a single casualty, a security guard who was stationed there for the night. The three approached one of the officers inquiring on the situation and they were directed toward their commanding officer. He was a broad-shouldered and heavyset Lethan Twilek with many battle scars etched across his face. The Twi'lek had served in the Republic Military before settling down and joining the Security Forces. He explained the situation, or at least what they could from the evidence recovered.
While Mila spoke to the Commander, Moran and Nanjah walked through the warehouse and examined the scene. They weren't trained detectives, but the force was unknowingly guiding the two toward something that would completely shift the tide of the investigation. As they neared the back of the warehouse, Moran abruptly stopped. He felt something -- someone who was plagued by great fear and emotion. They neared a manhole which, after closer observation, had been recently uplifted and placed back. The two looked to one another, locking eyes for just a moment, before turning away as their faces reddened. Nanjah extended her hands and reached out through the force, seizing the manhole cover. She gently lifted it upright and tossed it aside, the sound echoing through the warehouse as it rolled and spun before falling flat on the ground. Moran reached to his Utility Belt and retried a glow-stick, tossing it down into the hole. It didn't go far before it hit something and it grunted. The two looked down into the hole and noticed that just six feet down, a husky Zelosian male was stuck in the hole. Moran reached for his comm and alerted his master. Within a few moments, she and six other officers surrounded the hole and were working to free the Zelosian from it.
It didn't take long for the officers to extract what they sought from the boy. He was apart of a small gang who sought to make a name for themselves by robbing the warehouse at the request of one of the more prominent gangs in Coruscant's undercity in hopes of gaining their respect and ultimately their backing. He told them of their hideout in the sewers and of their methods for navigating them to their base. Another key factor Although the Zelosian was relatively young, an orphan, and was only seeking purpose in life. Despite this, he was arrested and taken to jail. Mila alerted the Jedi Council of the situation and they gave her orders to assist in the investigation on behalf of the Order.
And so they descended, down into the underbelly of Coruscant's dark and winding sewers. Their objective was simple: find the gang hideout and activate their tracking beacons then await the arrival of Coruscant's security forces. The path was dark, only dimly lit by their glow-sticks. They were to follow a series of white markings at their feet, and they soon approached a crude archway with its door simply placed against the frame. Something didn't feel quite right, though they proceeded despite the Force telling them otherwise. They came upon a run down water treatment plant which appeared as though it hadn't been in use for quite some time. The three crossed a rather rusted and shaky bridge to cross over the stagnant and black murky waters below them. Though the further they crossed, one thought kept pulsing in Mila's mind. Ambush.
The Nautolan turned swiftly, her hand moving to draw her lightsaber from her belt while it simultaneously sprung to life as a blasterbolt was fired and deflected back to its source. Dozens of laser sights suddenly sprung to life in the darkness of the chamber and fell locked upon the three. Following after his master, Moran made a move for his lightsaber at his belt, but he was too slow. They fired a single shot into his left shoulder, the blaster bolt searing through his flesh. Moran fell back, screaming in agonizing pain as he clutched his wounded shoulder tightly. It was obvious that this was planned out as someone, obviously their leader, scolded the shooter telling him they were of no use to him dead which is why their blasters were set simply to stun.
Nanjah fell to her knees beside Moran's wounded body, her body trembling. He was hurt and she knew not what to do, she wasn't trained or experienced in such things. Mila told her to calm her mind and pull Moran to safety, but as she backed up toward the two Padawans, the thugs opened fire upon the master upon their leader's command. Despite all of her training, she was still overwhelmed by their unrelenting force and didn't stop firing until she fell flat on the ground. Fear, doubt, and confusion clutched Nanjah tight, barring down on her. Nanjah's body trembled as the lasers sights fell upon her body, and the emotions that were once warm and full of life grew dark and cold. Rage consumed the child, and she opened herself fully to its temptations as her body fell still. Nine of the mercenaries repelled from their vantage points and blocked the three off at both ends of the bridge.
The gang's leader approached her. He too was relatively young, handsome even, but this would not save him for what came next. When he was upon Moran and Nanjah, he sneered as he pressed his boot into Moran's wound, causing him to scream in agony. This echoed in Nanjah's mind, breaking her from the trance she had fallen into. She succumbed to her rage and released it against the boy who sought to harm them, his body suddenly being seized through the force and an invisible hand tightening around his throat. A panic fell amongst the thugs. One quickly rushed up behind Nanjah, but he was too late. Through meer impulse, she snapped the gang leader's neck and hurled his body into the wall of the pit below them. His body collapsed into itself, the bones shattering on impact as his body fell limp into the dark and murky waters below them. But before she could turn her rage onto another, the thug approached Nanjah from behind and struck her in the back of the head with the butt of his rifle.
He turned in triumph, but it was in vain. From above, blaster fire rained down onto the thugs, obviously set to stun, and quickly incapacitated the gang of misfits. From above, the Coruscant Security Forces repelled down. When they finally came into sight, Mila picked herself up from the ground and dusted off her robes. The Nautolan was exceptionally skilled in the art of Energy Deflection, and was able to deflect much of the blaster fire just long enough to activate the tracking beacon before she fell to their assault. She wasn't aware of the darkness that had manifested from Nanjah, but she knew death was present. After overseeing the CSF's cleanup of the scene, the three returned to the Temple for some well needed rest and recovery. Nanjah and Moran's budding infatuation with one another began to grow from there, though they made sure to only keep it between themselves. A few days after the events in the sewers, Doni and the other Jedi Knights returned to the Temple after completing their mission. However, during the mission, they lost contact with Master Rodrick
Once again reunited, the Master and Apprentice duo continued training with one another. Nanjah's instruction progressed and she continued to develop her skills in Form IV, quickly mastering sequence after sequence. Her meditations were often disturbed by the growing darkness within her. The events that took place on Coruscant haunted her thoughts and soon began to affect her training. Nanjah's master felt the disturbance in her thoughts, and decided it would be best if the two left the Temple and began traveling throughout the galaxy. With the Council's permission, the two set out and began taking on assignments on their behalf. The months passed and yet another year passed, and Nanjah's skills continued to flourish. Now at the age of fifteen, Doni felt Nanjah was ready to finally construct a lightsaber of her own.

Their ship broke from hyperspace, coming into view of a massive ice-covered planet. While her master piloted the ship, Nanjah sat in the cargo hold attempting to focus herself through the force. It had been many months since the incident in the sewers, but she was still haunted by the darkness that was growing within her. It tempted her, attempting to seduce her further into its cold embrace. Because of this, she was unable to focus through the Force. The door to the cargo hold opened and her master informed her that they had arrived. Once they were properly dressed for the frigid weather, they departed from their vessel and made their way to the Jedi Temple built into the cliff side. After a long trek, they finally made their way into the temple and were greeted by one of the resident masters. After a short conversation, he directed them to a turbolift which would take them to the lower levels and into the crystal caves.
When the turbolift doors opened, a faint light guided their path. Nanjah felt the force in this place; it was strong. Though she felt something call to her despite the strength of the Force flowing through the caverns. She neared a pink crystal which appeared luminescent in the dim lit cavern. With her master's approval, she acquired a shard of the crystal and the two made their way back up to the upper-levels of the temple. They soon departed from Illum and made their way back to Coruscant. Nanjah spent the entirety of her time in hyperspace meditating upon the crystal as best she could and imbuing it with the Force. It seemed the darkness within her transferred to the crystal as she focused the Force through it as it soon became cold to the touch the longer she meditated upon it.
Once they had returned to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Doni took his Padawan to the Lightsaber Construction Center to begin working on her blade. Her left her alone with a familiar face, Mila, a Jedi Artisan who would help her construct her blade. Nanjah was going to construct a double-bladed lightsaber, and would not stop until it was complete. They worked diligently for many hours, piecing together the blade's inner-workings. They shaped the crystals, pieced together the hilt and to Mila's touch, cased it in a black metal. Once the blade was completed, Nanjah ignited the lightsaber for the first time; both blades glowing with a dark pink. When Doni was informed that she had completed her lightsaber, he was shoked to realize that she had constructed one of the double-bladed variant. He forbid her from using the blade, believing she was far too anxious and would cause more harm to herself if she attempted to use the blade.

A rift was beginning to form between Master and Apprentice. Nanjah was reaching that point in her life when she was developing into a young woman, and her temperament was beginning to change as well and Doni's lectures and warnings did little to help her opinion of him. Their training had continued, and they spent many months working assignments and further developing their skills, but the darkness within Nanjah had began to physically manifest itself. During their sparring sessions, she grew more and more aggressive, even going as far as using cheap tricks and distractions to gain the upper hand in order to achieve victory. Doni was beginning to realize exactly what was becoming of his Padawan.
Nanjah spent less and less time meditating and spent more time working lightsaber sequences and refining her senses for combat. During a mission on Nar Shaddaa, she visited a salon and died her hair to a platinum blonde color and styled it to hang past her shoulders. She was growing into a very beautiful young woman, and her ego was affected by the change. Around the temple, many Knights and Masters would inform Doni of Nanjah's flirtatious activities with not only others her age, but full-fledged Knights. Doni felt as though he was loosing his Padawan, and each time he attempted to speak with her about the matter, it usually incited an argument which left Doni feeling guilty. When the Council was informed of Nanjah's behavior and Doni's inability to control her, the two were split up; her apprenticeship under Doni was over. The council decided to assess whether or not to exile her from the Order or allow a Master to take her as a Padawan.
Nanjah became an outcast within the temple. Many of the Knights shunned her from socializing with their Padawans, tossing her disapproving looks under the guise of taking them for training. This only served to further widen the rift not only between her and her master, but the entire Jedi Order as a whole. Despite this unfortunate turn of events, she continued training herself, spending hours on end to perfect sequence after sequence until she collapsed in exhaustion. After a week passed, she was summoned to the Council Chambers to be judged by the entire High Jedi Council. When she arrived, she was informed that while a few members of the Council voted to exile her before she became a threat, the majority believed she still had the potential to be redeemed. They said that they had found her another Master, one who perhaps could correct her faults. Master Rodrick, a master she had met many years ago, had returned after many believed he had died and requested that he be able to take Nanjah as his Padawan. Due to Rodrick's service to the Order they agreed to allow him to take her as his Padawan and so began a new chapter in Nanjah's life.
Her training began the moment they left the Council chambers. Rodrick said nothing of her predicament, nor did he seem to care. Something was different about him. It was familiar, yet different. Nanjah continued honing her abilities in Form I in her free time, while Rodrick furthered her lessons in Form IV. She learned new sequences and marks of contact, quickly coming to master these new practices. As the months rolled by, the two left the Temple and began taking on a variety of missions. During their travels, Rodrick taught her the art of Sokan which revolved around using the environment itself to gain a tactical advantage in combat. Under Rodrick's teachings, she was once again on her way to becoming a powerful Jedi Knight.
During missions, Rodrick would display a very aggressive nature, even as a Jedi Master. He showed little hesitation when combating foes he vastly outmatched regardless of Force-Sensitivity. This influenced Nanjah greatly and she began to develop his habits in combat. The years passed, and Nanjah, now Eighteen, continued to progress. Alongside of her lightsaber training, she continued to hone her telekinetic, sense and most importantly her body abilities. Because she was heavily studying Form IV, she relied much on force-based acrobatics and movements. Now seventeen, Nanjah had grown into an outspoken and independent young woman, though she idolized her new Master and would do whatever it was he asked of her. Despite the fact that Rodrick promised to teach Nanjah how to use the second blade of her lightsaber, she was far too impatient to wait. One day, when she and her master had completed sequence training aboard a Jedi cruiser, she stayed back in the training complex to spar alongside another Padawan. Nanjah displayed her vast skill in lightsaber combat, however, she was unable to gain an edge over her opponent and so the battle continued to sway back and forth. Becoming frustrated, she took to igniting her lightsaber's second blade and attempted to strike in anger. This did not end well, as during an attempted flurry, she lost control of the blades and ended up severing her right arm in the process. The pain was unlike anything she had ever felt and she fell unconscious. When she awoke many hours later, she found herself in the medical wing of the Jedi Temple. They had replaced her arm with a cybernetic prosthetic, and were grafting skin over the arm when she awoke.

Nanjah spent a few days recovering from her injury and the surgery. Her time was spent training her Force abilities, sensing those aboard the ship through the Force. Elsewhere, Rodrick was reporting to the Jedi Council after word of Nanjah's anger reached the Council. They had deemed her unfit for life as a Jedi and declared her exiled. Rodrick argued with the Council, believing their decision was far to critical given the situation. Before their meeting was complete, Rodrick cut the transmission and returned to the medical bay to speak to Nanjah. He informed her of the Council's decision and she once again became furious. She pledged to seek revenge against the Council and the Jedi Order. Much to her suprise, Rodrick seemed to agree with her decision. Something truly was different about this old Master, and it was beginning to show.
During the time in which Rodrick had gone missing, he had come into contact with a cult of Dark Jedi who had captured and broken his will. He had fallen to the Darkside and his eyes were "opened" to the corruption of the Jedi Order. He had masked his darkside aura through the force in order to return to the Temple without the Council realizing his defection. The old master tempted Nanjah and convinced her to flee Republic space with him if she sought revenge. Without any sort of hesitation, she agreed and Rodrick began plotting a way in which the two could escape the Jedi Order for a time.
