Name:Quivix
Race:Droid-Type P3R-1Z
Age: 6
Height: 6'2"
Weight:210lbs
Birth place: Brought Online on Dantooine
Appearance:Quivix's form is humanoid as are most of those of its droid type with two overly long arms and legs and a stretched out torso. The droid is plated in thin silvery plates made of light mesh and plasteel. Upon its head sits the normal configuration of two bright blue photo receptors with a additional pair positioned father out of each side of its head giving him somewhat hammerhead appearance. The back of the droid is flat with small moving arms surrounding it giving it a place to clamp and hold containers. The droid has several green stripes painted on his plating most notably a inch wide stripe splitting its "face" in halves and a large chevron patterned emblazoned on its chest plating.
The droid often lists as it walks a result of a long damaged gyro stabilizer and it's once smooth voice now breaks and cracks when he speaks. More damage can be seen in the nicks and dents that cover the plating of the droid. Over all it's clear that the droid while cared for has been ground by time.
Personality: At one point Quivix would have been the model of a effective service/utility droid programmed with a masculine personality and designed to be polite, dutiful, and unquestioning time reprogramming and a liberal amount of damaged have however, caused quirks in the droid's systems. The droid would still be considered polite and does indeed still sees to its duties with the single minded determination only a droid can provide, but this is matched by a rather large large volume of questions unbecoming of a droid and a rather disturbing habit of over reacting to threats. It's unclear to what extent the droid is capable of free will, but so far restraining bolts have proven unnecessary and the DLA seems content to allow the droid to do tasks as it always has though perhaps with more care of their weapons.

Bio:
The droid that would eventually become know as Quivix began it's existence at the Emden manufacturing facility on Corellia. As with the other droids of his type he was produced cheaply and without any specialized functions or high level processes. The small 5x5 crate containing the scrap to produce a droid left Corellia six months before Quivix's activation and arrived a few scant weeks after that to a central warehouse on Kuat. The crate remained on it's nice appointed grey rack for the next month gathering dust as other droids these loader models zipped this way and that.
Finally the droid was crated off to what was intended to be his new home, the Sampson estates on Dantooine. At first the droid had no role or distinguishing traits just another general helper droid covered in a thin layer of padding and tasked to do almost any chore imaginable on a farm stead from cleaning food to aiding in the movement of crops. Quivix could do it all though like most general purpose droid his usefulness for any one task was a rather limited. That said the family left the droid in this unspecified configuration for two years before finally deciding to modify the droid for a more specific task, hunting.
The droid was down for several weeks while the updates and modules were installed, but when it was all done he came out nice and shiny with a new sealed outer plating and a whole battery of new systems. Quivix's new roll was helping Dutch, Mo, and Erle hunt in the Dantooine plains. Their main quarry like so many hunters on the temperate world strewn in grass lands where the native Iriaz. The droid served mostly as a accessory to these journeys, carrying goods, taking care of minor injuries, field dressing game, and in the role that would eventual lead to the greatest change in the droid providing protection to the hunters.
Quivix was out on a three day hunt with the elder Sampson when the pair deep in the Dantooine plains came across the Graul know as Ol'hornless. How the graul managed to slip past the droid's keen sensors isn't entirely clear to anyone least of all quivix, but sneak by he did and attacked out of the blue on the parties flanks bursting out of a small scabby grove of trees to their flank. The silver plated droid reacted as any good droid would way first tossing its change out of the way before hefting a large slug thrower rifle and planting a shot directly into the graul. Quivix got one shot off before the graul, utterly unaffected by the bullet before hefting the droid easily with on of it's great hand and effortlessly crushed it's plating before smashing it into the ground. The droid shut down as soon as it hit the ground and awoke later back at the compound with barely half it's processes barely functional luckily for it the family had decided rather than simply scrap the damaged droid and scavenged a fair few parts to get the droid to something of functional status.
It was after the run in with the graul that abnormalities in the droid's behavior rather due to a caviler attitude to memory wipes or damages from the attack, but the droid began to choose to do things on it's own. At first these were minor things the droid would be found on the edge of the estate over looking the fields or doing chores not assigned to it, but as time continued it began to show these tendencies more including on at least one occasion being found on the roof of the settlement.
The droids antics were beginning to cause some concern among his owners, but any attempt to track down the cause was fairly tightly ended by the Sith invasion. Quivix's part in that tragedy was largely none existent trapped in a back room of the compound when a section of the roof caved in and it was several months before anyone came poking trough the ruins. Scavengers were all they are and a swiftly broken jaw convinced them that raiding the homestead wasn't worth dealing with the droid. It wasn't until a group of DLA wondered past and recognized the droid lurking among the fire gutted skeleton of the homestead that the droid was brought back though it was only reunited with master Sampson and mistress Lakshmi. After that the droid could be found with the DLA mostly serving as he would have on the old homestead though now it's not uncommon to the see the droid stalking along the corridors of Homestead.
RP Sample: "Looke here boys looks like we found us a store room." Those were the first coarse sounds that hit quivix's audio processing sensors and it was quite clear that those voices belonged to none of the proper people. The droid's other systems came on slowly booting one by one from standby as the world turned first into a sea of pitch black and then materialized into a dark shadowy room. As the men had said at one time it had been a store room, but the stains of water marring the walls and the small pool in the rear corner would have indicated that in most likely hood those stores were long since ruined. The droid's receptors glowed lightly in the dim light from the crack the sentients where making in the wall to reach the insides.
The human who stuck his head into the room and the crack finally rent open was dirty and possesed shaggy hair and darkly circled eyes. It took the droid, but a moment to decide that this man had no good business on his master's property and rose up in the shadows. The dirty man saw the droid raise and his face cracked into a ugly smirk. "Well, looke here we got us a droid."
"You do not belong her, please remove yourself from the pr-." the druid's vocabulator crackled and stopped forcing the droid into a awkward pause as no sound came from it. The droid tilted his head for a moment before smacking his upper chest and dragging a hum from it. "Yes, please leave."
The man began to snicker and then laugh as he looked at the droid. "Oyi look at this byran the droid wants us ta leave, come shut him up while I look through this stuff." As the human stopped talking a great hulking gamorean squeezed into the room and walked up to the droid grabbing it's metal shoulder as he moved up. Normally droids are expected to be somewhat docile, but for some reason Quivix didn't want to be docile and followed the pig-man's action of laying a hand on his shoulder with a sharp right hook. With a loud crack the brutes jaw snapped sending the pig staggering back and the human's head whipping around. The human scrambled out of the whole with out a word and the gamorean was not long in following leaving Quivix to inspect for damages in his little hole.
