Name: Ryn Sundar
Race: Human - Aphithiri Hybrid
Age: 26
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 230lbs
Birth Place: Corulag / Curamell
Ryn's eyes are a milky white color and he has a scar on the bridge of his nose in between his eyes. Both of those scars are from the lightsaber's terrible passing, every once and awhile his eyes hold a dull, throbbing, and blinding(haha) pain within them. It becomes so debilitating that he simply cannot operate while the pain is in effect. His eyes used to be of an icy blue hue, one that denoted the intelligence that his mind held, despite his size and muscularity.
He is often found wearing a necklace with a lightsaber crystal hanging around his neck, the first necklace holding a crystal with a silver color...Jaran's crystal.
Around his chest hangs a bandoleer, the very same one that holds his double bladed lightsaber. It acts as a utility belt of sorts, storing anything he may require.

Ryn Sundar. The story of the man starts off in a rather unusual place compared to most. Not his birth, but rather his parents... his mother to be precise. The woman was not a human, unlike his father, she was one of the select few beings to escape the hellish world of Aphithir. She did it fairly easier than most, it was actually a rather simple proceedure that she thought up and followed through on the fly.
Rhia Sirisi was in the same situation that most of her peers were in, the quagmire of constant war and under the oppressive iron fist of the warrior caste. She, and most of the other 'commoners' realized that if the warrior caste had far overstepped its original bounds... which was to simply protect the other castes against the ever growing threat of slave rebellion. The nearly fifty year old woman was a mechanic on the planet's only star port, it happened to be just off of a hyperspace trade route... so alien visits were not uncommon.
It had been only a few hours since one of the hulking brutes that were called "true-born" came through and effectively insulted Rhia up, down, and all around when the next ship landed in the star port. She had done her job, albeit reluctantly and a little shotty due to her rather... unpleasant... mood. Then it hit her... why not just hide on the ship as they fly off? The woman couldn't think of a reason not to just stow away, the slight risk of being blown out of the airlock was one that she was willing to take. Especially if it meant never seeing her homeworld again.
Thats just what she did.
The crew of the "Shoulders of Atlas" made it all the way to Corulag before they discovered the stowaway, then promptly threw her into an underground slave market. It was a far better fate than what some of the men of the crew wanted for her, but the captain would have none of that. The tall, lithe, muscular, and bright eyed beauty was on the slave block for all of thirty seconds before she was bought by one Luen Sundar. He was a rich man, very rich, he owned some of the largest tracks of swampland and bamboo forest on Corulag... and he was single.
Despite the fact that she was a simple slave he treated her far better than that, so well in fact that they grew to love each other. They had barely known each other a year before Luen came to her, offering to set her free from her "bonds," though in all actuallity she could have left him whenever she pleased. Ecstatic at the prospect of being free, the woman left the mansion in a blurry storm of happiness... but she didn't get far. No. Rhia realized that she did, in fact, love the man that had bought her... and she returned.
They were married later that year.
Ryn's birth was a happy occasion in the young family, for he was the second born son of the aphithiri woman and the human man. But not by far, for Ryn was the latter in a pair of twins. The first to be born was Kazdan, a simply massive little toddler that towered above all other human's his age. Ryn was the same way, though he wasn't nearly as tall or large as his older brother... he was definitely the runt out of the two. Despite this... they were happy and healthy in their first stage of life.
His mother, however, slipped through the cracks when it came to medical treatment. Normally the condition of toxemia is caught far sooner than child birth, but when it is not it can be deadly to both the mother and the child. Through either the medical prowess of the attending doctors or through the machinations of the Force itself, Rhia died in childbirth while her children survived.
The woman looked down at her child with love in those piercing blue eyes of hers as she held him in her arms. Her last, tired, words before slipping into unconsciousness were "Ryndark." To this very day, Ryn wonders if his terrible name is some form of everlasting punishment that his mother passed down to him... punishment for being her death. This is not the case, of course, she just thought the name was cute. Cute. hah.
To say that Luen was crushed would be an... understatement. He was truly never the same... the man used to be warm, loving, and a happy individual. It wasn't uncommon for the man to crack a joke or two here and there... but then all that changed after she died. He turned into a cold, if not unloving, person, and very bitter.
Luen just couldn't stand to look at the little children that were the final product of he and his wife's love. Though, he didn't look at them in such a light... the stone sheen that had been coated over his heart had already grown far too thick. Instead, he looked at the boys with the "these little creatures are the reason why I'm not with my wife" mindset. No matter how twisted this line of thought was, it was true in the man's heart as he walked back to the hospital.
They offered to take his 'sons' to the Jedi Order to be trained as a Jedi Knight. At first, the man just gave the usual nonchalant "no," but right now, now the answer was different in his mind. He left the hospital with a keen sense of satisfaction in his heart... perhaps now he wouldn't see his wife every time he looked into those ice blue eyes of his son's. But he was wrong. If anything, he saw his wife more, and, in the end... he regretted giving up the closest links he had to his wife. Kaz was stolen in the nursery before the children were transferred, a mother who had lost her child couldn't bear with the pain... and took him for her own.
His life at the nursery at the Jedi temple was relatively simple. The baby was still far too young to even think of starting youngling training. He spent the first five years of his life amongst the other young-younglings, each one paying little heed to the tall child playing with his blocks off in the corner. More often then not the minders of the nursery noticed that the boy was shy, if not introverted, as he played with his blocks in the corner. Save one little girl about his age: Talau Firians.
The little odd-eyed girl stepped up to the little shy boy and announced herself, hastily asking if she can play with the blocks. The little boy cautiously agreed, expecting to be booted away from his toys. He was not... in fact, she stopped him as he went to walk away. She said that she wanted someone else to play with... and he obliged.
To his surprise, the next day the little girl came back, and more-often than not proffered to play with the recluse boy when she had the chance. A bond was forged during this time, between those two, one that would last them the rest of their lives. At the age of five he was submitted to the youngling training into the Soaring Hawkbat clan. Unfortunately, he was not sent to the same class as his only friend, Talau, but he did his best despite the fact.
At first the big child was reluctant to leave the nursery, but between the minders convincing him to leave and Talau being sent away for training his little mind realized that it didn't have much of a choice. And so, after practically begging the Jedi who took him to the youngling class to be put in the same clan as Talau, he left the nursery that he knew for five years. What the child did not know, however, was that the Jedi were not intending to put him in the same clan as his only friend... attachments were practically shunned by the Jedi, and to have a boy and a girl be so close. It was a recipe for disaster.
The recluse child was extremely distraught when he found that his only real friend was not in the clan of the Soaring Hawkbat. He simply wouldn't talk to the other children during the classes, not unless they spoke to him first... and even then he would barely say more than he had to in reply. There was one other child, though, Aeron Nadine... he was one of the more outgoing children in the class, and made it his personal mission to befriend the recluse child that the others picked on. It was hard for the young Zeltron, but eventually he managed to crack the bruenette boy's shell. In the process he forged a friendship that would last him until the day that he died, which coincedentally would be at the hands of the very one that he befriended that day.
Despite the fact that Ryn was arguably one of the most withdrawn children ever, he learned what his minder taught him at an incredible pace, and was one of the first ones to grasp the basic concepts of Control... the first area in the Force that is trained to younglings. He quickly gave the children that made fun of him reason to stow their tongues, as he could easily make himself quicker and consdierably more stronger than the rest of them. Not that he wasn't already.
Then came the next area a few years later, Sense. The boy that seemed to hold the same promise of a prodigy had proved to be... challenged... at the more abstract areas of the Force. Telepathy, Sense, far sight, all of them seemed to be albeit lost to the big little child without great focus. Though, he did manage to pull ahead in the former two, farsight is still nigh impossible without almost herculean amounts of concentration.
Fortunately for the young bruenette boy he happened to meet an old friend, one he hadn't seen in a few years... Talau. She had been indocrinated into the Wolf clan, and had quite the prowess for the more abstract arenas of the Force. The two often played games, which served to advance both of their training at Sense... and have fun at the same time. The first of the game consisted of one of the two walking down the hallway with their eyes closed and the other standing ready to pull them out of the way... mostly to act as a fail safe. This game was fun, but Ryn found that he still struggled with his ability to sense entities. The second game they played was hide and go seek, and while this game was simply a blast to the boy... he often found that he couldn't hide from Tal nearly as well as she could from him. The games did serve to advance his prowess somewhat... but he valued time spent with his old friend more than what little strength he gained from the sessions.
When he turned nine the minders of clan Soaring Hawkbat began their instruction of two courses: the first being the third and final area of force training... alter. He was, by far, superior at this aspect of the Force... which was predominately made up of telekinesis. Even moreso than his prowess in control. The children that were making fun of him promptly silenced themselves, at least in his presence. Though, let it be forever noted that they still did make fun of the good natured buy quiet boy, even if it was about things that he had no control over... like natural weaknesses.
Lightsaber combat. It was the staple of the way that force sensitives fight each other, be they Jedi or Sith. This was the second area that Ryn began to learn as he turned nine, and much like Alter he was superior to his peers at dueling. The boy was among the first to grasp the concepts of the shii-cho, and rarely lost during the training-saber spars. He had barely begun his training when he learned that Talau was already taken in as a shistavanen knight's padawan, this surprised the boy... how could one take someone as their studen so young? The boy didn't mind any, however, as he knew that someone would soon take him as their padawan.
Less than a year later that man came in the form of an unorthadox duro Jedi by the name of Jaran Darkcin. Despite his name the man didn't have a single dark spot on his soul, and was by far one of the purest and devout masters. His loyalty to the lightside, and his friends, was beyond unquestionable. Ryn would learn alot from that old duro, and not just from the Force or Lightsaber combat... but it was his unorthadox teachings that molded Ryn into the man he is today.
Unlike most initiates, Ryn spent most of his free time in the room of a thousand fountains, reveling in the myriads of scents and aromas that the gardens tempted him with. While, yes, this wasn't exactly "boyish" of him, if anything it was rather girly... but he had always had a much stronger nose than any other human. Even Tal, who seemed to have the strongest sense of smell than anyone else he knew.
Speaking of Tal, he spent as much time as he could with his friend... in those very gardens. More often than not they would serve as the host of their hide and go seek sessions, one of them would hide in the dense foliage while the other seeks. Talau generally won, but that was simply because she saw him like a flashing neon light at midnight... and his still flourishing nose was thrown off by the astonishing amount of scents to be smelt.
It was during one of these hide and go seek sessions that Ryn ran into a peculiar man. Literally. He ran into the Duro while he had his eyes closed, focusing on his nose to guide him to Talau. Instead, it guided him right into the meditating weapon master as he sat next to an extra tall asari tree, meditating on his last mission. The recluse youngling was all stammers and blushes as he apologized and quickly walked away, but the red eyed man wouldn't let him. Oh no.
A long talk ensued, so long that he had to send Tal a telepathic message telling her that he was in deep trouble. It was near the end of that long talk that he discovered the Duros' real intent for the boy: he wanted to take Ryn as his padawan learner. Not long after that Jaran actually made Ryn his padawan, not even bothering to go to the council first. Though it wasn't a requirement.
After the meeting the Duro told Ryn to pack his things and head out of the youngling's ward. He would be taking a room right next to his master, this would allow him to be woken up early for training every morning. Ryn, being Ryn, did exactly what he was told to do... and then almost instantly found and tackle-glomped Talau. She had found her master a good year before, and Ryn? Well, now it was certain: he was going to be a Jedi and he wasn't going to be left behind. He always feared that... being left behind.
The coming years were filled with few missions, despite the fact that Jaran was a wizened weapon master, and lots and lots of training. Ryn doesn't remember a single day wasn't started by the banging cacophony of Jaran banging his lightsaber's hilt against a metallic trash bin, yelling at him through the Force to wake up and get dressed. Followed by that was the temple-run, which involved Ryn traversing around the entire outer most corridor of the temple without drawing on the Force as a means to fuel himself. Jaran wanted his pupil to be in top physical condition.
It didn't take long for the wise old duro to figure out just what form of lightsaber combat Ryn's personality fit best: Juyo. Unfortunately, that style of combat was simply impossible to use effectively without mastery of multiple forms. So, Jaran decided to teach the boy the next best form, one that matched his body type: Djem So. It focused on blocks and parries, followed up by counter attacks that emphasized heavily on brute strength. Even at a young age the padawan found that he could muscle through his peer's defenses with his training saber. Oh how he loved using his height and weight as an advantage.
To aid Ryn in the defensive aspects of Djem So, Jaran also began to teach the padawan the hyper-defensive art of Soresu. Even knowing the basic concepts of the art would aid the big padawan beyond words. And, just to put the cherry ontop of the defensive cake, Jaran also began to run through the concepts of Broken Gate with Ryn. What was produced was a rather unorthadox fighting style that incorporated both of the Forms and Broken gate.
The bruenette was thirteen when his master took him to Illum for the construction of his first lightsaber. It took Ryn a full day to find his first lightsaber crystal, than another two to find his second. After returning from that long sojourn in the winding crystal caves of Illum he was given all the parts necessary to construct his weapon, the tool of the Jedi and the symbol of their order: A lightsaber. Only... this one was different. One that few Jedi made... ever... it was a double bladed lightsaber.
The normally impatient and sometimes reckless boy took great amounts of care while he was crafting his lightsaber. He realized that the weapon would be his life, his only tooth in the jungle, and his only light as the darkness raged about him. For those reasons, it took him three full months to craft Sol. Three months of concentration, three months of meditation, and three months of meticulously connecting and sliding the pieces into place. His painfully slow yet precise labor paid off in the form and shape of his lightsaber.
It was perfect. Ryn's arctic blue eyes couldn't catch a single imperfection in the dark metal hilt. He couldn't imagine it any differently.
Barely a day after returning to Illum Jaran began to teach his padawan the ancient art of Teras Kasi. The martial art had been created by the followers of palawa to combat the Jedi, hoping that their knowledge would stop another planet from being destroyed due to the actions of the council. Jedi did not generally learn the art, however, as the followers of palawa were not exactly on the friendliest of terms with the Jedi Order. How the wise old weaponmaster learned his art was always a mystery to Ryn, as his master rarely chose to speak about his past.
The true story, however, was that Jaran himself dabbled in the ways of the Dark Side as a younger duro man. He was forced to leave the order for a time, and was looked down on while teaching Ryn due to this. His time spent in the Dark Side was one of the myriads of reasons why Jar was such a servant of the light, for he wanted so desperately to redeem himself for the wrongs that he'd committed.
During this dark time in Darkcin's life he'd come across many people, many mercenaries, each one willing to do whatever a contract entailed for even the slightest bit of coin. One of these just so happened to be a female Kel Dor by the name of Sha Kun. This woman was a strict follower and master of Teras Kasi, and she knew it, too... for she didn't fear Jaran in the least. He was attracted to this quality about her, however, and managed to get her to teach him the tenets of the way of the steel hand. It just took a few credits, and those same credits were taken back once his training was complete.
Sha didn't mind, her head ended up separated from her body.
As usual, Jaran had left his padawan in the training room to continue his katas. And, as usual, Ryn allowed his mind to wander while he was performing the routine of Djem So and Soresu style movements. It wandered so much that the boy actually began to pretend that he was fighting some Sith Lord from old. He was so wrapped up in this session of imagination that he did not sense his longtime friend, Talau, approach him rapidly. Much to his chagrin, she caught flashes of what he had been imagining... and made a few comments about her doing the same thing on occasion.
At first the boy, in a flash of complete stupidity, thought that the girl was making fun of him. Luckily, for Ryn and Talau's relationship, he saw flashes of her imaginings... and realized the level of utter stupidity that he'd attained. After apologizing, he took up the girl's offer to spar... and what ensued was a series of events that would change the rest of their lives.
Ryn was overconfident in his prowess of lightsaber combat, and in doing that abandoned the tenets of Djem So. He paid for that, dearly, as Talau simply dodged around the overbearing slashes. Using the quick slashes and jabs that Makashi is renowned for, Talau hit Ryn with her training saber over and over again between his sweeps. The boy would have been able to block them with his second blade, however she was hitting him with a mental maelstrom that was slowing down the man's mental capabilities.
After minutes of intense fighting and brilliant moves from both sides, the boy finally managed to take Talau down after taking her lightsaber from her. Though his lightsaber was taken as well, this simply meant that they had to rely on their skills in the martial arts. Ryn, being a practitioner of Broken Gate and Teras Kasi, had the obvious advantage. The two quickly found that they were twisted up like a ball of yarn. Ryn? Well, he was on top.
There was an aura of uneasyness between the pair as previously unknown emotions welled from the both of them like water out of a sponge. The tall boy took stock of the situation. Their limbs were tangled up, they were uncomfortably close, and he could feel her hot and exhausted breath flow across his cheeks... which caused his cheeks to grow red with heat. Ryndark did what had always done, and would always do... he acted without thinking at all. In a flash he bowed his head down and pressed his lips against hers, and in another flash he pulled back and retreated his limbs from hers.
He was out of there before she could react, and avoided her for the next few weeks. Though the boy could feel the stress and pain that his avoidance of her was causing in her soul, and knew that he'd have to talk to her about these emotions eventually. Ryn begrudgingly did just that, and professed his love for her... which was honestly the most stressful moment of his entire life. It was followed by one of the happiest when Tal admitted that she felt the same way for him. Instead of following the Jedi way and leaving their relationship in that room they decided to nurture it. Let it grow. And it did just that, it grew into something beautiful, but was hidden expertly by mental barriers that were kept erect at all times.
It didn't take long for him to convince his master to allow him to learn the art of Force Concealment, which would further protect his emotions from being sensed by others. The next two years flew by like days, but that was not surprising... seeing his love for Talau grew with every meeting with her. And they were numerous, despite the fact that her masters tried to keep her away with constant missions and rigorous training.
Ryn's 18th birthday was marked with a pact. One that he made with his secret love, and it was to leave the Jedi Order after their training was complete. This happy occasion was mirrored by the news that long time friend and surrogate brother, Aeron, left the Jedi order with his Lethan Twi'lek master. To make matters worse Talau and Shoal were sent after them.
He'd either lose a brother or a lover.
After a week it looked like he'd lost both, but he didn't believe it. he couldn't... he could still feel his love's heartbeat via their bond. He could feel his breath match hers. He could feel her.
After two he wasn't so sure... he could still feel her... but why hadn't she returned?
After three he was questioning her survival... perhaps it was just his mind playing tricks on him?
He gave up after a full month of her disappearance. Dismissing the distinct feeling from the other end of their bond as nothing more than an illusion. It was then, in that moment of lost hope, that Ryn truly embraced his sadness.
Then, on the very next day, she returned. To say that the boy was ecstatic was an understatement, it took all of his strength not to wrap her up in a tight embrace. It was almost too bad that things like love and attachments were forbidden by the Order. A few weeks later it seemed that Tal had a gift for him, a feather, one that was tied to a leather strap that was embedded with the letters "Love is Eternal."
It never left his person, save to bathe.
Five years. Five long years. Five years after the fall of two of his closest friends, Ryn and his master finally managed to track down the pair of fugitives. As if luck would have it, they managed to catch Lopa's ship as it exited a hyperspace tunnel over the planet of Myrkr... and it didn't take long for the coming space battle to leave the Dark Jedi ship plummeting towards the forest world.
Once Jaran managed to touch down on the forest world it didn't take particularly long for the pair to seek out their former friends... as all it took was to follow the sounds of battle. Angry screaming. Lightsabers twirling. Lupine growls and barks. They all echoed through the forest, and for once they didn't need Ryn's keen nose to track someone down.
Once they arrived to the scene, it was one of carnage. The pair of Dakr Jedi were barely touched by the sharp teeth and keen claws of the vornskr assailants, but not the same could be said for the black creatures that attacked them. Soon enough, however, the entire pack of jedi hunting dogs lie slain about in a circle around the twi'lek and the Zeltron. And, soon enough, the fight between the Jedi and their dark counterparts began. Jaran took Lopa, as was hopefully obvious that Ryn couldn't hope to take on a weapon master of her skill and wit.
That left Ryn with one option: kill his surrogate brother, or die at his hands. It was not an easy choice for the young man, and often times he found himself wishing that he had allowed his red skinned brother to take his life. Though... before the actual fight began, Ryn was informed of the news that Aeron and Talau happened to be lovers. The tall brunette teen didn't believe his shorter brother until the boy subjected him to the... graphic... images of Aeron's relationship with Talau.
Ryn was crushed.
Ryn was heartbroken.
But most of all... Ryn was angry.
Without hesitation, the boy attacked his former brother with the speed and fury of the vornskrs that the dark jedi had just been slaying. The fight itself between Aeron and Ryn wasn't spectacularly long, but it was most certainly a brutal one. It was a duel that showed off Ryn's prowess with a lightsaber, and the double bladed lightsaber's variant of Djem So.
In the end, Aeron ended up with a swift kick to the groin, a sliced off hand, and a lightsaber to his throat. Yet... Ryn refused to kill the boy that he once called brother... he wouldn't allow himself to sink down to his level. Despite the zeltron's goading, Ryn deactivated his lightsaber... only to have the red man attack him the moment that the glowing blade was in its sheathe.
The result? A swift beheading... courtesy Ryn Sundar. A small part of him was satisfied that he'd killed the man that ruined his life. But most of him was just too numb to care one way or another. With a small sigh, the weary young man followed the interweaving scents of Lopa and his master.
It did not take long for him to find to find the battling masters. Their duel looked like a dance, a dance so deadly that a single misstep would spell the demise for the one who made it. At first, the icy blue eyed boy was enthralled with the terrifying beauty of his master dueling with Lopa... but eventually he grew worried. Ryn knew that he'd surely die if he stepped in, moreover he'd likely get his master killed as well. yet... something deep down told him that his master would fail.
Not long after... he did.
That misstep was made by the blue skinned duro, and his demise was given out in the form of a lightsaber through the gut. Yet... Jaran knew that if he allowed himself to fall right then that his padawan would fall as well, and in one final act of defiance, he grabbed the woman's saber hand and brought it closer to his body. Ryn watched in horror as the blade skewered his master even further, but this maneuver was meant for one thing and one thing only: killing. with her lightsaber hand arrested, it made it amazingly easy for the Duro to whip the twi'lek's head off... killing her instantly.
He lasted long enough to say a few final words to Ryn before passing on, "darkness can only bring two things... death... and pain." Ryn would have cried at his surrogate father's death, but he had far too much work to do. Not only did he collect everyone's lightsabers, but he also managed to take apart his master's and pluck the yellow crystal out from within. It would hang from his neck in a necklace until the day that he died.
On the way back to the ship Ryn was jumped by a pack of Vornskrs, they had come to that spot from a considerable distance away... as they were drawn to the force user like moths to a flame. It was a long, harrowing fight back to the ship... one that forced him to leave his master's body behind in favor of his own survival... much to his chagrin.
Ryn did not leave that planet unscathed. Oh no. It took almost the entire journey back to the Temple to recover from his many claw and bite marks, even with the use of the Force. In the end, after addressing the events to the council (lieing somewhat about Aeron's image), he spent a good deal of his time in the healing wing.
Numb was the best word to describe the weary boy for the first few weeks after his arrival back to the temple. And back into the arms of Talau, who had obviously missed him in his absence. The boy found it odd that she clung to him so, despite the fact that she knew that he was her lover's killer. But he said nothing of it, what good would it have done?
It was probably a good thing that he didn't, as it didn't exactly take long for the boy to pick out all of the faults in the "memory." The way her eyes glowed when she was kissed, the way her hair smelled, and the bead etchings in her hair... they were wrong. Aeron's only goal was to cause as much pain as possible, likely try and make the man fall on his own blade in grief.
Not surprisingly... Ryn turned into the happy lover once again. He still refused to tell Talau anything of the mission, however, that memory would prove to be painful even years later. One doesn't lose most if not all of their surrogate family and recover quickly, if at all.
Not a few weeks later the high council called him up and into the chambers. They had determined that he had passed all of his trials in that mission. Killing Aeron was a test of his skill, not submitting himself to the dark side by killing him in anger was a test of his spirit, the death of his master was a test of his flesh, and his harrowing fight against the vornskrs was a test of his courage.
He was knighted soon after.
All that remained was for he and Tal to make the final preparations to leave the Order. But the Force would not allow for that just yet.
His very first mission after being knighted by the Council was to track down a serial killer who happened to enjoy preying on the criminals of Coruscant's lower city. It did not take the Jedi Knight very long to find the man, a Dark Jedi by the name of Grawn Ianie. A fight quickly ensued... a fight that ended fairly quickly after Ryn cast the Dark Jedi off of the building they were fighting on.
Ryn was barely back when he heard the news, and it made his heart break. Talau, his long time friend and secret lover, had died in an explosion over the forest world of Haruun Kal. He held the far flung hope that she was alive, but unlike last time... he felt nothing from their bond. Nothing but a wash of static and echos. Heartbroken, the man prepared himself to leave the Order and make a new life for himself. He just had one more mission to complete, one that was completely volunteer: a mission to the Sith homeworld of Korriban.
A few weeks after the events on Kashyyyk, and a few weeks after discovering the death of Talau, Ryn found himself on the Grey Sparrow travelling to Korriban with Jedi Masters Vreem Took, Jace Beleran (both of which were high council members), and Jeh'rad Verai'cal. The two former were high council members and the latter had been furthering his instruction in Soresu. Another Jedi Knight was with them: A bothan by the name of Lon.
They ventured into a tomb shortly after landing, but not before a small force battle between Master Beleran and a dark Jedi erupted. The Dark Jedi fled, and the little group of Jedi ventured into a tomb... a tomb of an ancient Sith Lord. While there Ryn inadvertantly tripped an ancient Sith trap that temporarily forced the entire group into unconciousness.
Ryn had a vision of fighting his master while he was knocked out, he loathed every second of it... mostly because before that he could never picture his master as a Dark Sider. It didn't take long for the Jedi to overcome the trap, all except for one: Jeh'rad. Lon and Ryn, both under the effects of Korriban, ran out to meet a group of Dark Jedi who were camping out infront of the tomb. Lon was quickly killed by one of those Dark Jedi, to this day Ryn blames himself... believing that he could have saved the man if only he did something.
That is when he saw one of the other Dark Jedi: Grawn Ianie. It did not take long for the Dark Jedi to be upon him, a furious fight erupted between the two combatants. After a long fight the Dark Jedi managed to get Ryn in a saber lock, Ryn was fatigued from the fight... and slowly his own lightsaber came back down upon his eyes...
That is when he lost his vision. The lightsaber seared his eyes star white, the pain was almost inconcievable. But, the Jedi managed to come back... slicing off Grawn's arm and casting him off of a cliff. The Dark Jedi survived. Again. But this was unknown to Ryn... though the Jedi Knight always knew deep down that Grawn didn't die. Despite the fact that he was minus an arm and fell a good mile and a half.
Sundar was requested to protect senators, the queen of Onderon being his main ward, at a Gala almost immediately after being released from the medical wing of the Jedi Temple. The initial mission was easy peasy, and went off without a hitch. After Queen Sali Hyria left in a hurry, however, he offered to follow her and she (reluctantly) agreed. Very fortuitous, considering the fact that her ship was sabotaged and rigged to explode.
Ryn, at that point, realized that he would rather die a hero and be with Talau in the Force rather than be an old man with a flock of children at his heel. Though he'd always wanted children prior to that moment, when the world came crashing down around him, he'd only wanted them with Talau... after her "death", well, his hopes... his dreams... his future... all of it had been dashed. So, as that ship crashed to the ground, he deverted every last bit of his power in protection to keeping Sali away from harm.
As the ship slammed into a building, then into the ground, Ryn took every last bit of the Force that the ship took. In the end, every last being, save Ryn and Sali, were dead or dieing within the bowels of the dead ship. If a Dark Jedi, Vex Praetor, and his ward, Aunna Borgonia (both fugitives) hadn't saved his life... he surely would have died.
After the four made a long trek away from the ship, it seemed that the would-be regicides learned of their mistake and managed to track them down. A huge fight ensued, one where Ryn ended up grievously wounded (again), and barely managed to get the two monarchs back to the gala before passing out. He awoke in a hospital, and after recovering... he left the Order. Without a word. Without a sound. He simply... left.
His career as a grey Jedi was... interesting... but seemed to mark one mal idea after another. Between royally weeing off a big bounty hunter, meeting a woman now considers his sister, and a would be apprentice that he seemed to lose somewhere along the way, he was about to simply give up trying to find a life to live and die. Then he met a ghost from his past: Talau.
He tracked his bounty to Kashyyyk, and ended up meeting Talau. Not a specter, not an illusion, and he wasn't crazy... it was really her. Despite being pulled into Silmorne by her a few days prior (silmorne is a higher plane of existence used by the Rilan. But another can be pulled in at great cost to the Rilan that does said pulling), he didn't seem to believe that she was alive until he heard her voice. Ryn could not see her, not like he could before, so her aura was as noteworthy as grain of sand on the beach.
During that meeting, she managed to convince him to go back to the Jedi with her... saying that they needed their help, and selfishness would help no one. Much to Ryn's chagrin, he knew that she was right, and travelled back to the Jedi with her. After explaining the happenings of his exodus from the Order, and that the Council was sure that he intended to stay, they allowed him back as a Guardian of the Jedi Order.

Weight: 230lbs
Birth Place: Corulag / Curamell
Appearance:

[Escape]
[Noble Birth]
[The Soaring Hawkbats]
[Tutelage of Darkcin]
[Happy Days]
[The Trials]
[[bKnighthood
[/b]][/div]His very first mission after being knighted by the Council was to track down a serial killer who happened to enjoy preying on the criminals of Coruscant's lower city.
