((OOC---Continuing from Part two: Escape Artist found here swrponline2.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=druckenwell&thread=16999&page=3.))Gharassk sat in the cockpit of the cargo hauler, he was in the co-pilots seat and let it swivel as the Green skinned Twi'lek male captain launched the ship into Hyperspace. The stars specs became star lines then swirls. Why are you helping me Captain? Gharassk asked not letting his guard down in case the captain turned out to be a fraud. "It's always nice to have a friend in the Jedi's ranks... I know a few other Jedi and am good friends with them, from time to time they need to get from one place to another without registered transport, they use my ship." Gharassk nodded, it wasn't unbelievable and he didn't sense any deception in the man, but his skills where far to unreliable to completely count on. Still if this man was telling the truth, it wasn't pure chance he had stumbled on someone who did in dead help other Jedi, but the force guiding him. Gharassk made his way to a room in the back of the transport and let himself fall into a light sleep, to be awaken the next day above the planet Ryloth. Gharassk woke up to the Captain shaking his shoulder, "Hey wake up, we're about to land." Gharassk shot up from a good sleep and spoke swiftly, No!...No!...Don't land, drop me in the jungle, it's closer and less obvious. He sat up and got a strange look from the Twi'lek before he shrugged and left for the bridge. Gharassk followed to tell the captain where to drop him, something that Gharassk was barely sure of himself, by this time the crash site had been picked off of by scavengers, but Gwaldosa had informed him that the prisoners where in a cave, and Gharassk believed him, after all nothing would be gained in him lieing about the location, he wanted Gharassk to come. Once they where above the drop zone the captain lowered the ramp over the trees and Gharassk got ready to drop. "May the force be with you young Padawan, that is what your kind say ain't it?" Gharassk nodded before answering, Yeah that's right."Ahh, thought so." The Twi'lek said before giving Gharassk the all clear. Gharassk hesitated for a moment, this might be his last day alive, but in the long run he jumped. He grabbed onto bigger branches as he dropped slowing himself before he finally hit the ground. He tightened the back pack a bit and raised his hood, it was raining only slightly. He looked up as the cargo hauler flew off disappearing over the trees. Gharassk sighed and picked up a nice walking stick before heading in the direction of the mountain caves...

Mal had spent the last few days in the jungle having Resaat, his padawan, rest after his first solo mission. The need for medical herbs and other items of the healing nature was Mal's second concern when it came to most of the daily affairs in his life. He missed the deep jungles of Kashyyyk. After collecting what he needed the two of them would go visit the wookiee planet again. His nights had been restless again images and visions of pain and of the need for his healing hand.
Some hand he had his stubby fingers were starting to show in growth. Now only half inch long and barely moving yet there they were. The months following his loss of his right hand he worked on training his left with the sabers dangling from his sash that was wookiee woven. The second hand skill was better than it had at first at the least he was able to swing and block with better skill. Now he was diving in and out of dence jungle growth and swampy areas looking and searching with his force and knowledge of healing.
Finding a few new items and some older ones that the order had been looking for quiet some time. All this was great and wonderful but .... the one thing that came like a flare at midnight was a lightside user signature. The feeling in the force from this one was not followed by his master. So knowing who it might be Mal headed toward that direction as best a hutt can when waist deep swamp water and up to his eye lids in jungle vines.

Master Teer Ka had run the full gamut of emotions fairly quickly when she'd discovered Gharassk missing from his bed in the middle of the night when she'd woken up with the vague sensation that something was wrong. Promptly she'd taken action, searching the hotel from top to bottom, reaching out with the Force, and finally resorting to security camera footage that saw him leaving. Only then had she seen his damnable note.
Naturally she'd been furious at first. He was on a mission. He was supposed to obey her, and instead of doing his duty as a Jedi, he'd ran off to do his own thing, deserting his mission, embarrassing her, and betraying her trust.
For the first three hours she'd thought him a contemptuous and treacherous little worm, and she was livid that she had to abandon negotiations in order to track down the impudent cur and take him back to the Jedi Temple for disciplinary actions.
Her anger had slowly faded as she booked passage to Rodia immediately, leaving behind Lana to oversee the negotiations in her absence. During the relatively short voyage, she had further time to meditate and allow her anger to subside, and she no longer had the desire to strangle the Padawan. However, she was going to see to it that he was punished for his indiscretion.
Such utter foolishness. If he had a problem, he should have come to her immediately. Teer was his supervisor, and he was supposed to be following her commands expressly. He never should have done any of this, and if the whelp wasn't already dead by the time she arrived, he was going to wish he was.
Already Teer was planning her report if he was alive. She was going to recommend he be expelled from the Jedi Order or sent to one of the Service Corps. In her estimation he was unsuited to be a Padawan.
As the Togruta Jedi stepped out onto the Rodian soil of the space port, she looked around and reached out with her senses, wondering where exactly he'd gotten to. She was going to have to clear her mind and hunt him down, one Force-signature among millions. Or perhaps two if his message had been right.
Master Ka wasn't exactly sure how much of a head start he'd had, and she'd been unable to track down the pilot who'd hauled him. This promised to be one of the more difficult efforts she'd undertaken. And he had to hope beyond hope that she'd arrive in time to save him from his recklessness.

Gharassk had been walking for an hour or so now, the rain coming and going all the while, he would at times climb up a tree to get his barings before finally getting to the crash site of the ship. He desided to check it just to make sure there was nothing there for him to find. He was aware that Gwaldosa would flee to the mountans that where now near by, but he thought it still a good thing to check on anyway.
He eventually found a weak point in the haul that went all the way through the outer and inner haul. With a little forcing he had made it big enough to fit through. He explored for short time before he found a holo recording with a message simmaller to the one he had left Teer and Lana. When he powered it up he saw a much different Gwaldosa, altered even though only a blue blur he could tell he was different. "Hello Gharassk..." The Rodian said, even his tone darker then Gharassk remembered. "If you're reading this it's because you still thought i'd be here waiting for you, or that i left the prisoners behind here, pity i thought i had taught you better then that, by now you muct know I'm not here but waiting for you elsewhere, come find me my apprentice." Gharassk was already aware of him being gone but it still irritated him that his master had changed so much.
Gharassk dropped the holo pad back where it was and continued into the ship deeper. Evidence of the battle was clear, the ship had crashed at some point and was brought here, bodies scatters the floor and technology was plucked from the walls where scavengers had stolen things. When Gharassk couldn't handle the death around him any more he left and after collecting himself continued on his way eventually finding an opening and desided to rest there for a few moments.

Mal struggled with the dence jungle finally having to saber cut his way through the heaviest parts. This was ofcourse after he scanned it for things of a medical nature, flowers from vines, fruits, berries, fungus, and insects. Right enough to say this world and path he was following was not nor could not be hutt aproved. Just as the jungle started to lift Mal was able to see further than twenty feet. Now a good 100 yards he could see that the jungle was letting up a bit more. That was just the good news for when Mal could see a good mile in clear view, the view was nothing but rock.
Moving around the rock mass Mal found ....more rock. A smallish path had formed from a mud slide and gave the hutt a slopping ramp up one side. Slow going and often taking three surges forward only to slide two back made for a tired hutt and one not to mess with. Nearly at the top Mal surged forward and used his telekinitic power to drag his mass to the top. Most being would have hooped and howlered at reaching the top but for Mal came a gulp and then a whimer.
Mountains! It had to be mountains. .... I'd perfer the shadowlands of Kashyyyk than to have to crawl around up there. Wide open swamps filled with hungry fish are more of my liking than this. Why did it have to be mountains?
Mal slumped his shoulders as he started forward back down the same path he came up. The rise he just climbed was nothing but a short mound a shallow root of the mountains ahead. Stretching out he searched again for the force pressence. It was still ahead though the changing of the sigs color had him worried. Flooding darkness was never a good sign.

Gharassk had been pulling his hood on and off for about 30 minutes now, the rain had been spotty the whole day so far, and from the look of it, the big cloud was yet to hit. Moments after he had noticed that he started to feel pain all around him, it wasn't until he came to a clearing of sorts, it was still shrouded with tree's and rocks, the ground was fairly clear yet any where from smooth. What was worse the cloud was now over head and the drizzle was now coming down in more of a constant pattern. Gharassk was shocked to see the area around him, hanging from a tree was the body of one of the crew members of the ship he had hoped to save, there was more of them on the rocks, in the bush...Gharassk almost dropped to his knee's, he was to late, Gwaldosa had begun his thoughtless slaughter.
At the far end of the clearing he saw a cloaked figure with his arm out stretched and a fist was made at the end of the arm, floating a few inches away was a human gasping for air, for a few seconds he was suspended in the air until the body went limp.
There where still a few of the crew alive and Gharassk would make it a point to make sure they lived.
Ahh...There you are my apprentice. Do you feel the pain? Or are you only angry because of me? Gharassk was angry but knew better, he called on the force and he let go of the anger.
Let Them Go! Gharassk said firmly. I don't think you're in a position to make demands! Gwaldosa said as he turned un-linked his light saber and started to approach Gharassk.
Now that you're here i have no need for them, why should i? Gharassk unhooked his own hilt, hoping he wouldn't have to resort to using it.
You aren't evil, stop now! Gharassk began to sidestep around Gwaldosa until the Crew members where behind him, and he backsteped until he was close to the survivors, he made sure they where alright still trying to keep an eye on Gwaldosa at the same time.
You're brave my old Apprentice! But i still feel pain for those you didn't help. Tell me, do you still think there's hope for me in your order? Once Gharassk finally got a good look at him he noticed that Gwaldosa was no longer the same, his features even though Rodian where different, and darker.
That depends greatly on you. You will likely be punished, but it's better chances then if you stay on your dark coarse. You will loose yourself, have you forgotten the things you yourself taught me?
I was wrong back then! I've been shown powers that beat those of the petty abilities i once had. I wish i had shown you then. Gharassk shook his head, You have lost yourself.
I could show you. Interested?
Not remotely! Gharassk said firmly, and noticed the immediate change in Gwaldosa's mood, Anger filled him, yet pain came with his next words. Then i regret what i must do, but i must sever my ties with the order. Good Bye my student.
I am not your student, nor can you teach me further.
Gwaldosa ignited his saber and shot a blue bolt of lightning from his long fingers at the same time. Gharassk Swiftly moved his arm to block the bolt.
I was hoping you would leave, face it you wont hurt me! Gharassk said not confident in the words himself, as he removed one arm from the outer robe then shifted the saber to his other hand and shed the last sleeve. It was at this moment that he truly for the first time tested with Death and the dark side.

The two circled at a distance for a few seconds before Gwaldosa made the first attack leaping into the air, Gharassk took a few long strides forward before dropping himself sliding underneath Qwaldosa's sweeping attack.
Gharassk quickly recovered now in mud stainded clothes from the slide. Qwaldosa had recovered faster thought and sent a rock through the air to big to be sliced in half by Gharassk's saber, so he hurdled himself over the boulder letting himself glide inches from it and let himself land on it for barly a split second before pushing off collecting momentum before making a flip and landing just feet from Gwaldosa who was slightly shocked at the airial prefomance. The two coloered blades red and teal clashed and spun for a few seconds before they locked, I... almost forgot your skills...Gharassk. Gharassk grunted trying to get the upper hand in the saber lock but failed before hehad Gwaldosa's fist brought down accross Gharassk's face. Gharassk had pulled away but only after the impact, he jumped a few feet back and collected his thoughts before the next barrage of attacks.
By the time he was against the edge of the clearing in front of bush Qwaldosa had begun to be inpredictable which Gharassk recognized as the Juyo form. Gharask saw the next attack coming straight down on him, Gharassk put up his saber in defence only to have Qwaldosa's saber push right through his defence sending Gharassk's saber pointing at the ground. The next attack came from Gharassk's right, when Gharassk blocked that the same thing happened pushing his saber out of the way. By the time his back was against a tree Gwaldosa brought the saber down again, Gharassk managed to side step and the blade only cut into the side of the tree. The next attack was the same but it was so powerful that when Gharassk went to block it he was pushed down to one knee, then the next attack was to from Gharassk's left which he blocked as well only to have his saber thrust to the right, and by the time Gharassk was on his feet again, he felt a burn just below his chest. Gharassk didn't even need to look to know what had happen. He knew this was always a possible outcome. The saber was extracted and instantly Gharassk fell back to the knee's he had just stood from, his saber began to feel heavy and he couldn't hold it any longer. It seamed to "Thump" on the ground. He tried to stand again, but that alone used the last of his energy and he fell to his right shoulder, every raindrop now felt heavy on Gharassk's body.
The last thing he saw before passing out was the red saber about to finish Gharassk's life, but something large and green sending him across the clearing to land in front of a bush.
Black out...

A pair of brown boots stepped out from dense foliage, sinking slightly into the damp ground, equidistant from one another, with the weight of their owner’s body evenly distributed. A snap/hiss was heard as a sky blue blade shimmered into existence, and then another as a second joined it. The sound of humming cut through the air, and Master Teer Ka held her saberstaff at the ready, surveying the scene.
Gharassk was down and injured, and the Hutt healer was tending to him. Below her was the fallen Jedi who had caused all this trouble.
“Pick on someone your own size,” She spat, her ivory fangs bared in a snarl.
He leapt to his feet and activated his saber, and before she could command him to stop, he attacked. However, it wasn’t a wild attack or feeble. He was instantly using Juyo, though it wasn’t far advanced. She recognized he was either holding himself back or was still a student of the form himself.
The Togruta Jedi spun her saber staff around in an arc, catching his rapid blows on alternating sides of her weapon as she waited for an opening. Her keen eye caught style, and caught on to weaknesses. While this man was undoubtedly skilled, he had just defeated a mere Padawan, and she was a Jedi Weapons Master.
She could see he was neglecting his footwork though. His was fighting in a linear path, seeking to drive her back. And as Teer had routinely told her students, don’t allow your enemy to do that. Never allow them the fight they want.
And above all, end the fight as soon as you could.
Master Ka lashed out with boot and pulled his ankle out from under him, causing the fallen Jedi to flail unsteadily. And that was when she made her move, spinning in an arc, her right saber blade slashing through the man’s unprotected back. From the way he instantly fell limply, she knew she’d severed the bottom of his spinal cord.
Even on the ground it wasn’t over. His arms still functioned, and his fingertips were brushing against his lightsaber. The Togruta woman closed the distance and stomped down on his hand, pinning it hard against a rock. The distinct cracking sound indicated she’d broken it, likely in many places.
He whimpered and lay still.
Master Ka deactivated her saber, returning it to her belt. Her fallen enemy’s blade joined it there, and she walked over to the fallen Padawan and the healer, arms folded, a look of quiet concern on her face.
She could sense he was alive, but she wasn’t sure how fragile that thread was. And while she’d been tempted to strangle the unruly apprentice several times in the past few days, now that he was actually in danger of dying, her anger had been banished away to a quiet place.
Still, he was very, very lucky. If she’d had more trouble catching onto his trail, if she’d been late in following him, it was very likely he’d have been dead already, and possibly even the Hutt with him. Master Ka was, without a doubt, glad she’d arrived in time. Now it was all up to the Hutt, Mal Konti she believed was his name.

(OCC-Sorry for the late posting lack of muse and RL have eaten my soul. Here is what I have, so far.)
Mal had been pushing himself hard as hard as a hutt goung through the jungle under brush could. His size and mass mad it hard but in time he found paths and animal trailings to follow which sped up the pace. A short glimmer of a ripple in the force told Mal that some thing bad was going to happen and that he needed to hurry.
Leaning forward as he rippled along Mal made up ground by lowering his mass height. Sharp spikes within the force and fear was starting to become very visiable within the force. As he neared a clearing a very sharp pain in the for hit Mal. It was the force screaming of a wrong doing and an action of killing. Mal didn't want to think that the young one dead but still the other who was in the force was much stronger and very dark.
Mal exploded from the under brush. With enhanced force agility and power surging through his being he rolled head over tail till he was at the young ones side. Uncurlling he twitched his tail right then with enhanced speed and the mass of a hutt can muster slammed the dark one. Bones popped in muffled tones as Mal's tail hit him in the chest. The power was over shot by far but Mal didn't care a young one was at his tail. With a second hammer fall he slammed down upon the fallen force user mashing it into the ground.
Twisting back Mal had only seconds to care for the young one. Opening his bag his found three herbs and fungis that helped in healing and antibacterial uses. Tossing them into his mouth he chewed them over making a very quick and slimy pultus. Leaning over Gharassk's body he ripped the cloth with the force. the area was bad a saber wound like this could be fatile. Thankfully no bleeding yet but if he moved much he would bleed out quickly.
Taking the cloth he made a quick compress for the front and back. Gently rising the young one up he place the compress to the very visibile wound in the back. Before he place the compress on the front he spat the pultus into the open wound. Placing the compress he held it with his hands as he seatled down with his ragging force power into one usefull for healing. Powering the healing force he called upon it to start the regeneration of the tissue. As he did he split his focus and looked at the internal organs to see what harm was done.
The strike had missed the stomuch but made a mess out of the large and smaller intestine. Delving deeper he also noted that the liver was also damaged. This was going to be touch and go till help of any form got to his location. Remembering his coms he called for the medical transport ship that brought him to this planet. On it would be some of what he would need but a Kolto tank or the new Bacta treatments would be the best, till then he waited.

Since the fallen foe wasn't about to get up and walk away with a severed spine, Teer didn't focus on him at all. Instead, the Weapons Master looked down at Gharassk and frowned.
As much as she was angry at him, she was angrier at herself. He had been her responsibility, and she had been charged with his safety and his performance. That he'd escaped her care was something that reflected almost as poorly on her as it did on him.
Master Ka knew that when she returned to the Temple, she would have a very unpleasant debriefing where she'd be required to own up to her failure, and she wasn't looking forward to it. If he died, it would be even worse. She'd consider that a personal defeat.
The scarred Togruta woman stopped by the Hutt, who she didn't recognize. He was clearly a Jedi, and judging by his efforts was a healer. Teer didn't know that his name was Mal Konti, and she would meet him a month or two later on Shili when she became the Jedi Watchman.
Master Ka didn't want to disturb him as he treated the motionless Padawan, but she also wanted to hear his prognosis. As a result, she remained silent and motionless for long seconds until she finally broke her self-imposed silence.
"Will he live?"
The Togruta Jedi's husky voice was calm, but it was equally clear that she wasn't happy. She knew the gravity of this situation.

Mal worked as best he could the damage was substanchel. As he tried to focus he felt a movement of greater power. The power was of the light side. What disturbed his healing was the nervousness eminating from the obvious teacher. The nervous tention was also masking a suttle bit of anger toward the young one. He redoubled his efforts to gather the force around the wound. His body slowly shook with tention and had the first signs of fatigue healing, a greying and profuse sweating.
The words broke his focus and he had to draw away from the young one and catch his breath.
Yes. Yes he will make it if my shuttle gets here very soon. The shuttle has a healing tank that this one needs. .... Thank the force that I desided to stop by here on my way. The damage is great but not beyound what can and will be healed. From your emotions I take it this one is yours. The name I kind of remember, but it escapes me at the moment. Mine is Mal Konti of the healer order. You seem to be one that will never need my healing hand. Yet a hand you might have need for in the future as long as you carry a blade of the order.
Mal sighed as he back up a bit and whipped the sweat from his face. It seemed to congel to a thin slime which he ate along with a few herbs for enhancing his own healing.

By the time Gharassk was weaking up, he was in a shuttle, by all the medical equipment in the ship Gharassk could guess he was in some sort of Medical Ship. He could barely make out two figures, a green blob, and another Red taller figure, his brain may not have been working to it's full yet, but he could tell who one of the two was. It was Teer Ka, the Jedi whom he had originally come with.
He came in and out of sleep on the long trip to the Jedi temple. He would hear some of the two Jedi's conversations but he couldn't put anything together. Several times now he had thought he had been dead, but the pain he constantly felt, the pain that woke him up several times. The only feeling he had while awake, was pain. After weaking up towrd the end of the day, it was finally a tolerable pain. He had guessed they where in space by this time.

It had been two or three days before Gharassk had stirred from his mostly drug-induced sleep for more than a minute or two. Teer had, of course, regularly checked in on him. She had made a point of checking in at those moments when he was firmly out, only occasionally letting herself be present in his more waking moments. Those, she dedicated to Mal Konti, the healer.
His care was going well, though they were still taking the unruly Padawan to Coruscant for more thorough treatment. That was a small blessing.
However, if he thought he would earn pity or babying for this, he was much mistaken. Teer Ka believed many things were 'sink or swim,' and Gharassk had chosen to sink. Either he'd learn from that, or the next time he made it, he'd die.
This was his choice. She wasn't about to pity him or to fawn over him because he'd rushed into a situation he wasn't prepared for and suffered the consequences. That didn't merit some emotional investment. He'd caused her enough grief that the Togruta woman had come to the conclusion she'd just cut off all her emotions when dealing with him. That way she avoided anger and impatience.
All business. All duty. Nothing personal, good or bad.
The Togruta Weapons Master had been in the Jedi shuttle's sickbay when the disobedient Padawan stirred again, only this time he fully regained consciousness. She could sense the change in his aura, and reacted accordingly.
The woman stood in a firm stance a few feet away. Her feet were shoulder-width, her arms folded across her breast, and her dark eyes were fixed on the Padawan. When she was confident his hearing was functional again, she spoke in her usual husky voice.
"Don't try to move much. Knight Konti has done his best, but your condition is still serious. Even slight movements could exacerbate it."

The days had passed and Mal had gone with out sleep for the majority of the time. Like he did at the temple he drew upon the force and his unquie skill of meditating healing. With in the healing trance he would sleep for what seemed like seconds but could have been hours. All the while he was tied to the force and healing. This dream-like state kept him going and the endless healing possible. The song he used to focus his mind was a very ancient twi'lek lullaby.
Once again he felt the raise of force power. From what he could figure it was the young one's master entering and then exiting. This time though when she entered the force level and reaction of the young one rose. A clear sign that Mal could come round and finally get some quiet sleep, true sleep.
Master Ka your herz gin. It's rouzing, getting betzer. Now I leaf Im to joozs. I'll get a few hours I shant be long.
Mal tried to leave but his mass was making it hard for him to move and his muscles had settled due to the inactivity. Yet he did exit only to enter a cabin across the hallway. Before the doors could fully close he again fell fast asleep. The sound of a snoring hutt echoed from the room as his tail hung out of the room and in the hallway.

Gharassk's eyes opened slowly. He saw Mal leaving the room, and Teer standing above him.
"Don't try to move much. Knight Konti has done his best, but your condition is still serious. Even slight movements could exacerbate it."
Gharassk nodded, he didn't speak, he managed to look toward a clock which also gave date, it was set to Coruscants rotations, likely because the shuttle ran out of Coruscant. He had been out for about three days now from the date on the clock. He made a sigh, he noticed his robes where sitting at the edge of the bed, he was able to see the Koltol patch that was mended to the saber wound just below his chest.
Gharassk finally spoke, he imagined that Teer wouldn't want to talk to him, but she did of course break the silence first anyway. Did the men he was holding get off Rodia? Gharassk asked, that was his whole reason for going in the first place. If they had ran off and got lost not to be found, then Gharassk had gone for nothing, but it was possible they could find a city and get a shuttle off world even if they weren't found yet.

He asked about the captives, and Teer considered dismissing his question as none of his business. It wasn't his concern after all. The last thing he needed was to become more personally involved. However, he was already involved, and maybe it would give him closure.
Or at least comfort in the likely event he was expelled or sent to the Corps.
"There were four survivors, and all were taken to a Rodian hospital for treatment for various injuries. Most are likely on their own way now, and are none of your concern. Put them out of your mind now."
That was all the information the Togruta Weapons Master wanted to provide. Further information wasn't essential, and she didn't want him focusing on on that part. There was another part just waiting to be discussed.
And she was going to have him discuss it.
"Now Padawan..." Teer said icily, letting the words hang in the air for a long second before following through on them, "What the hell were you thinking? If I hadn't followed you, you might have died. You disobeyed me, you betrayed the trust of the Jedi Order. The next words out of your mouth had better be very convincing, otherwise I will recommend you be sent to the Corps or sent back to your family."
Master Ka folded her arms, fixing her steely gaze onto the Padawan with all the intensity she could wield. Her dark eyes burned into his flesh, penetrating down to his very core. Nothing could hide.
