Sebastian considered this. "Because I am highly disloyal. And also exceedingly attractive."
The lift slowed to a stop and at Sebastian stumbled, barely catching his shoulders back against the wall of the lift with a laugh. The guards ushered them out of the elevator and to the front doors, and though one of them was outlining some requests and/or orders Sebastian cut him off to say, "It's been wonderful working with you fellows tonight," and stepped out of the automatic doors and into the night cold.

"So attractive." Bellinda whispered, fingers running from his hair to warmth of his neck, thin fingers brushing his cheeks and ear as they walked. "Its not fair. How come you're so attractive? Other people aren't this sexy." She purred as he almost stumbled.
"Its a good thing you're all mine. Even if you're not." The little woman nodded as she swayed in place, pressed against Sebastian's form as they stepped out the doors with a swish and into the chilly night.
"You're all mine, right? Because you enjooooy me mooooore."

"I'm whatever you want me to be," Sebastian said with a mischievous grin. He was, in a way, both too drunk to be completely honest and not quite enough to outright lie. "It's really not fair to all the pretty girls."
There was a bench nearby which soon rose up to catch the couple. "Ah, perhaps I should call Ramadhin." He fished out his commlink, and after a moment seemed satisfied with the result. The butler was present in person for a reason far more deliberate and complex than to serve as driver, but it was a well enough excuse for him to be on Jaemus. None of Sebastian's housestaff served only their official occupation, but such secrets hid behind many layers of deliberate discretion.

With a wiggle Bellinda flipped herself from Sebastian's lap and onto the cool seat of the bench beside him, leaning heavily over on his. The world spun and twirled and even wiggles, the edges building and Sebastian's own aura seemed to quiver and curve before her. It was so pretty, so very pretty. Like all the pretty girls Sebastian liked.
"I wish I was a pretty girl." She said, more thoughtful than sad, her voice childlike as they sat and waited, somehow Sebastian always had someone to call when things went weird.

Sebastian leaned his head against Bellinda, breathing in the smell of her and stroking her hair. It was soft and fine and thick.
"You wish you were a pretty girl. And you were. Once."

"I was?" Bellinda mused, burying her face against his cheek in a nuzzle, relishing in the warmth of him. Gently she planted a kiss against the warm, smooth skin and thought slowly formed, taking a crude and simple shaped. Before she could refine it it spilled out her lips into the small space of his neck and jaw as his fingers gently stroked her hair.
"Could you--Could you lie to me? Make me think you love me for a minute. " The little woman asked, slurring the words together gently as she listening to his breathing, felt his heart beat beneath her hand.

"Only a minute?" he said gently, watching the lights of an overflying speeder rush across the pavement. "Lin, I... How could I lie to you? You captivate me." His voice softened and broke in all the right places. "Of all the women I've ever known, none have lingered in my mind as you do. I'm always thinking about you, even when I don't know I am. Your mind is... Well it's like Hund's third overture, this beautiful and complex and unavoidably intangible thing. I just want to sit and listen to it forever." Several more speeders hummed quietly overhead. Then as if remembering something, "I love you, Bellinda." And he kissed her forehead.
The most frightening part of it all, really, was that only the afterthought had truly been a lie.

Bellinda let the silence hang in the air gently, only the sound of speeder's passing in the darkness and the gentle movement of her breath could be heard as she absorbed what Sebastian had said. It would be easy to sit there and try and break down, try to look over his words and discern truth from lie, analyze the way his tone changed, the inflection and pauses all perfectly placed. But what was the use in that? She wanted more than just for him to lie to her, she wanted to lie to herself. Even if for just a moment.
Her fingers reached for his and entwined, a long sigh whistled from between Bellinda's painted lips, suddenly sleepy. So sleepy. "I love you too... Thanks." She mumbled, pressed her small cold face into his arm, protecting it from the chill.

As Bellinda was slipping into drowsy intoxication, the future and past were starting to blur and distort in Sebastian's mind. Moments ago his perception of them had been sharpened by the flurry of thoughts that resulted with the discretionary section of his brain was no longer delegating those things that were or were not worthy of crossing his mind. But now, as the last glass of vodka worked its way into his brain, his mind was drawn entirely into the present, and that present was saturated with a deep and distinct affection for the little Sith that leaned against him.
It was, of course, the type of affection that a workaholic felt for his company or that a dog felt for his favorite toy. But it was still the type of affection that would bare teeth and growl at a threat, that would covet, that would hold, that would own. How often did the chemical bath most sentients call love even have that much loyalty or substance? Sebastian was honest.
Even more honest than Bellinda. The man she loved was something she had constructed of those things she wanted to believe. He wasn't real. The real Sebastian was cruel and mischievous and conniving and enjoyed the irony that the long con was running itself. But more importantly, the real Sebastian was, indeed, now irrevocably tangled up Bellinda. He wondered, then, how he would feel if Bellinda suddenly disappeared. Even moreso, if she betrayed him, or he betrayed her, or he otherwise earned her wrath. How would he react?
"Hurt me, someday," he said. "Really throw me for a loop. Something drastic. It's never happened before, I don't suppose anyone else has ever been able to."
He shrugged off his jacket and wrapped it around Bellinda, running his thumb along the back of her hand, which had found its way into his. He felt the cold wind on his back, a thrill of awareness, as Bellinda sunk even further towards sleep. The profile of a familiar speeder came around the next block.
