Bio:
Nasaru Alaroth, 3rd Earl of Kala-Hirim, was born to a wealthy Givin noble family on their species' homeworld of Yag'Dhul. From a very early age, Nasaru showed superior skills in mathematics, even for his mathematics-obsessed Givin peers. At the age of 12, he managed to solve the Givin Global Tide problem, a problem all great Givin mathematicians have performed before him, usually at twice his age. His father was so proud of him, expecting him to become head of the Body Calculus (Yag'Dhul mathematocratic governing body) and bring honor to his family. However, Nasaru longed for adventure and, upon hearing stories from traveling merchants (Yag'Dhul being a vast commercial center, perched at the cross hair of two highly important trade routes), decided that he would go and explore the galaxy as well. Attending the Yag'Dhul Institute of Technology, he obtained a doctorate in Astrography and Subspace Theoretics as well as two undergraduate degrees in Galactic Trade and Geology. The Body Calculus was impressed by his skills, and awarded him a position as a navigator on board on of their warships. Reaching the rank of Jahari (which is the equivalent to the Republic's rank of Lt-Commander), he was then offered his dream: command of an exploration corvette. He then jumped for joy. His father was full of pride. Finally a senior position as Exploration Captain, or Ja'zuli (equivalent to Frigate Captain, or Commander). He then went to boldly go where no Givin has gone before.

[This is a roleplay of the day Nasaru got his rank as Ja'zuli]
It was a warm morning. Yag'Dhul's blue sun was already rising above the horizon. Nasaru had not slept one moment the night before. After serving for 5 years, first as a navigator, then as a piloting operations commander (Jahari), he was finally going to get his first command as the captain of an exploration ship. Finally, Nasaru's own saga of adventures was about to unfold.
At about 8, Nasaru arrived at the aerospace complex. There, Ylakahri (Rear-Admiral) Orvidius, the head of the exploration corps of the Givin Navy, was waiting, and all the personnel of his old ship, as well as the personnel of his new ship. It was Givin custom during senior staff promotions to have this. As he entered. The Master-at-Arms removed his Jahari coat, and allowed him to wash his face in holy tide water. It was part of the religion of the Givin to have all their servicemen wash themselves in holy tide water. It was Tide Theory, the mathematical study of how the highly complex gravity of the nearby blue sun, affected the very odd patterns of water fluctuation. This gave birth to the mathematical genius of the Givin, and they remembered that by splashing their skeletal faces with the same water.
As Nasaru entered, all servicemen stood up and gave him a salute. The band began playing a fanfare, and the admiralty was standing in position at the back of the hall. He then stood up and kneeled before Ylakhari Orvidius
"You have done well in your previous post," said the Admiral. "We have decided to reward you with your own ship, and your own exploration commission"
Admiral Orvidius then said the sacred words of the formation of the Givin Domain. He then asked Nasaru to rise, and had his former captain place on him his new coat, with the three stripes of Ja'zuli (the same as a republic commander would wear)
He then faced the crowd of servicemen, who applauded. He then left the ceremony as the Admiral ordered it to a close
"Go meet your crew", said the Admiral to Nasaru. "You are to leave into high orbit, and contact me. I will then give you your orders"
Nasaru obeyed immediately. On board his ship was his executive officer. His name was Gorial, a very tall, tough Givin, who was the chief security officer and came up through the ranks of the Marine Corps. He welcomed his new commander on board with a simple salute. The science officer was Arvith. He heartily welcomed Nasaru, wishing him good luck. The engineering department had prepared a fireworks show for him. Pleased, he then asked all men to gain their stations, and took his place in the Captain's chair
He then ordered his pilot: "Take us into high orbit"
The ship's reactor was then turned on, the docking clamps released, and the medium-sized ship then rose into the sky. After reaching orbit, the Admiral hailed them. Activating the console, Nasaru said:
"Yes Admiral, what are your orders?"
"They are simple", answered the flag officer. "Trade corporations have been petitioning the navy to explore new extensions on the Corellian Trade Spine. They seem to have made their final exit Bespin, but long-range sensors show planets in the Unknown Regions, past Bespin. Your orders are the following: Find new planets with new resources and new trade routes. Understood?"
"Yes sir", Nasaru replied
The console then closed. Nasaru ordered his pilot to set a course for Bespin. They would continue exploration from there. As the ship went out of Yag'Dhul orbit, the pilot punched the hyperdrive, and into hyperspace they went.
