It had been eight days sense Dan Firestar had taken on his Padawan Jaina, their first mission together brought Dan back to the outer rim, on a planet called Tatooine, he had been here once before to recover a stolen droid, this time things didn't differ much. Accept the three variables that did change it. Namely was That Jaina would be with him, second, was that it wasn't a droid but a living breathing, senator who had been kidnapped and held for ransom, and thirdly, they weren't going to be bartering with Jawa's like Dan had a few years back. Instead, they would be bartering with a Hutt. Dan almost shivered at the thought.
At the moment though he didn't have time to shiver, he was currently flying a beat up old spice ship that the Jedi had put in Dan's hands for this mission, reason being was that Dan wasn't to reveal himself as a Jedi until he knew more about what was going on. For all they knew the Hutt was expecting Jedi, and they should expect a trap. Normally Dan wouldn't have considered bringing a new Padawan into this, but Jaina wasn't knew, she was old enough to come, she had skill with a saber, and Dan had faith in those skills. Which was enough for Dan to say she could come along.
Dan managed to fly through the atmosphere without much turbulence, and then navigated the freighter to the ground in one of the docking bays. Dan swiveled his seat to face Jaina, she sat in the co-pilots chair, he had taught her a few of the basics of flying on this trip, he flicked a switch that hung on a control console above his seat, Aaaaand there, landing claws locked; that's how you land a ship! Dan said as if he had been teaching a entire lesson to Jaina.
Dan stood up and made a couple of last checks before remotely lowering the docking ramp and gesturing for Jaina to follow him out of the room. The two where wearing civilian clothes instead of the Jedi Robes that Dan was so comfortable wearing. His clothes consisted of some Olive green Cargo pants, and a matching Olive Jacket that was unzipped revealing a simple white shirt. He made it to the common room of the freighter and grabbed a utility belt that looked nothing like those that Jedi normally had.
Dan contemplated leaving his sabers behind to be more convincing, but he didn't suspect the Hutt's to have sensors, just guards, and lots of them. He slid each light saber into a pocket on the inside of his jacket and once he was convinced they would stick out like a sore thumb, he began to make his way to the ramp where he waited for Jaina to join him.
Once Jaina was ready and with him he began speaking, just a little louder then a whisper so that no one would over hear him, OK, So I've had a good long while to think about a plan... It even unnerved Dan that he had just now finished planning, so he could only guess at how shocked Jaina might be. We should just be able to walk in, ask to speak with the Hutt, offer to trade Cargo then mention we want to purchase a slave. Dan haded that word as it was, he felt bad even using it when he wasn't supposed to be who he really was. He sighed and continued, Now the Hutt won't offer the Senator, but if we can just get into the dungeon then we can at least confirm the Hutt has him. Then if needed reveal ourselves, and pay the ransom. If all goes to plan, we'll be out of here before they days done. If things don't go as plan, then you may end up as The Hutt's next slave! Dan said now outside of the docking station in a town he recognized as Mos Espa, he began taking longer strides to get across the street without getting run over.
First off though, we need to find a way to get out to the Hutt's palace! Dan said as he turned a corner and began looking for some sort of pay service vehicle. He spotted several droids running small carriage type vehicles, but those where more short range. Dan stood on the corner scratching the back of his head, walking was likely out of the question, the heat was already pounding down onto Dan's head, he gave a sigh that could almost be called a groan. Then after several seconds of starring at the road he noticed a cargo skiff that was being loaded for out of town travel, direct to the crime lords palace. Dan saw it as one of the only chances and walked for it, and he was noticed quickly by the caption, "What you want ugly!" Dan rolled his eyes, as he began speaking, I was hopping you wouldn't mind giving us a ride to the Hutt's palace... Dan said moving his hand slightly as he did so, I don't mind taking you to Hebba's palace! Dan let out a relieved sound. Two things had just happened, the first was that the mind trick had worked, and the second was that he was reminded to use the Hutt's name; ''Hebba''.
Dan climbed aboard the skiff and then helped Jaina up, it was crowded, but it was going to be a quicker ride then walking.

Eight days ago, Jaina was conclusively able to move on through her life. Better yet, she had been granted a new master in the form of Dan Firestar; she could finally begin her training towards transitioning to a Jedi Knight. Knowing that she would be at liberty to forge her own story when attaining the rank of Knight thrilled her. Simply imagining freedom of choice shaped a smile upon her face. Until then, Dan would aid her development. Receiving training from him wasn't necessarily something she would enjoy doing, but the missions weren't something she'd turn down. Which brought her attention back to the matter at hand; the senator kidnapping.
From what Dan had told her, she immediately recognized the danger of their task. Hutts had a reputation of being crafty creatures. A simple exchange could turn into an all-out war within a Hutt's layer. Whenever they "seized" an object or person of desire, they didn't simply inform one person. Jaina imagined that every major organization had been told of the senator's sale. The thought of Sith, Mandalorians, and other potential buyers intimidated her to the point where she clenched her hand into a fist and took deep breaths. "Avoid thoughts of the dark side." she whispered, calming herself.
While this wasn't Jaina's first mission, it already appeared to be the most dangerous. Depending on how the situation unfolds, it wouldn't surprise her if Dan believed it best for her to flee for safety. With all her heart, however, she hoped it wouldn't come to that. Nothing mattered more to her than being able to prove her abilities through a mission. It wouldn't be too long; they were already entering Tatooine's atmosphere.
As they went through the atmosphere, the ship begun to shake, albeit very little. Despite the minimal chance of crashing, Jaina still found herself closing her eyes and holding her breath; being raised upon a slave ship for years wasn't exactly helpful for her phobia. Often, slave ships weren't built with safety in mind, and they shook excessively during the entrance of a planet's atmosphere. Soon, Dan had landed the ship successfully, and Jaina sighed with relief.
"Aaaaand there, landing claws locked; that's how you land a ship!" Dan said in a way that Jaina took as slightly sarcastic, causing a light chuckle to escape.
"Glad you've taught me." she smiled. "Perhaps I'll use this technique sometime soon."
Prior to exiting the ship, Jaina had dressed in what she believed simple civilian clothing. Her shirt was beige in color, with sleeves extending down to her wrists. Her bottom half was covered in pants of the same color, and while they weren't excessively tight, her legs did seem to fit rather well within them. The clothing she wore was much like what she remembered having worn as a child; though perhaps torn a bit more.
After grabbing her lightsaber, she followed Dan down the ramp and Dan began to enlighten her with their plans once more. OK, So I've had a good long while to think about a plan... Jaina was rather nervous by his introduction; she hated coming up with a plan at the last possible second. We should just be able to walk in, ask to speak with the Hutt, offer to trade Cargo then mention we want to purchase a slave." Although Dan said the plan surely, Jaina doubted he actually believed it would be as simple as that; she sure didn't. "Now the Hutt won't offer the Senator, but if we can just get into the dungeon then we can at least confirm the Hutt has him. Then if needed reveal ourselves, and pay the ransom. If all goes to plan, we'll be out of here before they days done. If things don't go as plan, then you may end up as The Hutt's next slave!" Though it was intended as joke, Jaina was actually sort of frightened to imagine that she may end up as a slave again. When Dan was finished talking, she nodded, revealing her understanding.
Following the conversation, Jaina followed Dan out of the docking area and into the rest of the city. At first glance, she realized they were probably dealing with the scum of the galaxy. "Boy, this place is rather.. intimidating." she muttered, as she passed by two Mandalorians who appeared to be watching her movements. They can't realize I'm a Jedi.[/i] she thought.
By the time they had actually found passage to the Hutt's palace, Jaina had seen her share of the planet. "We can finish this mission any moment now." she said, obviously joking, to Dan. She grabbed Dan's hand, and he pulled her up onto the skiff. There was little room, and lots of people upon it. Glancing around, she saw all sorts of people heading towards the palace. Mandalorians were heading towards the palace along with a group of slaves with their trader. No Sith, though.[/i] she thought and felt relieved.
"Master Dan, I have a question." she said, but didn't wait for his response before continuing. "Take a look around you and you'll see all sorts of scum heading towards the palace." she, inconspicuously, pointed out the Mandalorians and a few other people she deemed unsafe. "Do you honestly think this will be so straight-forward?"
Dan was much like her, in ways she already began to see. For example, she observed that he was rather prideful, like herself. Sarcasm also oozed from him, which was another trait they shared. All she could think of to be a difference was their age and rank. Other than that, they appeared to think in similar ways; leading to her fear that he had deceived her with his confident outlook.

They hadn't gotten out of the port very far before Jaina started to ask a question, she wasn't loud so he guessed it had to do with the mission. "Master Dan, I have a question." Dan nodded before he knelt down a bit and let her continue. "Take a look around you and you'll see all sorts of scum heading towards the palace. Do you honestly think this will be so straight-forward?" Dan sighed a bit, not toward her, just in general. Well you're right, it is only scum, and i think that's why we have an advantage, i've delt with scum before, they aren't amung the most bright in the galaxy. However all the same, i guess i should warn you to stick very close to me.
Jaina had a point, and he guessed at that fact already, scum also werent the type to stick their neck out without a price or advantage to ones self. And Dan DID plan on taking things very slow and useing extream caustion.
It wasn't long before they arrived at the palace Guarded by several men, and even one in a tower. A couple of Gamorions at the gate, but so far Dan could tell it was more or less safe, they at least hadn't tried to shoot yet. And to his suprise, they didn't even scan the crates. Just got nods from the man and the gate slowly opened with a long screech.
Dan actually smiled before giving a reasuring look to Jaina, then a slight nod. They didn't go far into the Hanger before the skiff powered down and Dan and Jaina both hopped off the skiff. The crew where to busy unloading the cargo to notice them, so Dan and Jaina where quickly able to walk away where a Zeltron keeper arrived, stopping them before they got to the exit. The Zeltron looked to them and snarld. Who are you? If you're part of the loading crew your work isn't up yet! Dan looked back to the crew and then to the Zeltron.
No we actually only rode with them, we bartered for passage, we're here to see Hebba the Hutt. Dan said as if everything was fine. The Zeltron glared at them for a second before grunting as he pushed Dan out of the way and continued into the hanger.
A sigh was heard from Dan as he started up the short steps into the next room. There wasn't a long walk to the thrown room of the Hutt's, and once there Dan motioned for Jaina to stand by the door. There was currently a band playing in the room, so Dan continued into the room and found a small seat, and once the looks that had been given to him where stopped, he signaled for Jaina to enter.
Blah, dispite how much i hate this song, we're better off if we wait tell after it's over, Hutt's don't like their entertainment to be interupted! Dan whispered over the table. He sat and listened to the annoying song that sounded like someone was strangleing a Womp Rat! He had a bad feeling that he got in just as the song was starting too...
