Name: Brazi Nevok
Race: Togruta
Age: 12
Height: 4’ 11”
Weight: 100 lbs
Appearance: Brazi’s dominating features, as with most Togruta, are his montrals and three lekku. Brazi’s montrals and lekku have yet to grow to their full length, so the montrals have barely risen above his head while his lekku hang just below his shoulders. Because he is still young, Brazi’s face is filled, giving him chubby cheeks. The scarlet features of Brazi’s face are heavily distinctive, with the semblance of flames marked out with white around the eyes. His montrals and lekku are striped with grey as they protrude from his head. Like most Togruta, his body is slashed with white marks, contrasted on his red skin.
Brazi’s clothing is the typical wear of a student of the Jedi Order. Most of his clothes are the khaki, white, and brown hues of the Order. Brazi is usually seen in a khaki shirt with brown pants. His outer robes are white and brown, matching his pants. Finally, Brazi’s feet are a topic of discussion between his Togruta mentor and himself. The Jedi would have him wear no shoes, in honor of his heritage. Brazi choose to wear boots, like most Jedi, in an effort to fit in among the other younglings. These boots reach Brazi’s shin, and he tucks the legs of his pants into them.
Personality: When anyone would meet Brazi, they would immediately assume he is a quiet, shy child. He keeps to himself and does his work. This shyness stems from the insecurities that Brazi has as a young Togruta male being trained to become a Jedi, as there are not many male Togrutas who come to the Jedi Temple. There are also not many students at the academy who were discovered at such a late age, at least that he knows about, and he feels really alone in his studies because many of the others in his youngling clan have been training with the Jedi since they were three or four. Therefore, these students have had more training than Brazi has, and while it is illogical for him to believe that those extra years of training, received at such a young age, would catapult his companions into such an advanced state.
Even still, Brazi’s illogical insecurities cause him to isolate himself, and this loneliness keeps him focused on his studies, giving him a lot of time to dedicate to the different lessons assigned to him by the Masters. Whenever Brazi is feeling shy and in a group of students, he is the one who will be standing in the group, speaking only when he feels confident in what he has to say. Then, he surprises his mates with the level of insight he has into particular situations. You see, Brazi is a thinker more than a speaker, so he takes a while before actually saying anything. Therefore, Brazi appears to be slow witted because of this pausing in his speech. However, the fact that he does put so much thought into what he says signifies just the opposite.
Once someone gets close enough to Brazi to peel back his outer layer, they would find your average young man. Only few have been able to accomplish the task of peeling back Brazi’s outer layer, and they include his childhood friend Pala and his Togruta mentor. These two have seen that Brazi is adventurous and curious about the world around him, which contributes to how observant he is when he interacts with others. His sense of the creatures around him feeds into this curiosity. Whenever Brazi is comfortable with the people he is around, his internal thought process externalizes, riddling his audience with questions upon questions. For a while, during his early years at the Jedi Temple, one of the main questions Brazi asked concerned his being left behind in the forest. The Masters and other Jedi did not bother answering this question, instead instructing Brazi not to focus on the past but to keep his eyes on the future. Still, the hurt of being allowed to leave lies deep inside Brazi, even if he doesn’t realize it most of the time because he has lived with this pain for the majority of his life. Brazi’s unanswered questions are what drive him to become the Jedi he is training to be. Ultimately, he hopes to return to Shili and to find the family that gave him up, just to show them that it was all for the best.

Bio: Brazi Nevok was born on Shili to two very happy and capable parents. He was the member of a tribe of Togruta that lived together in the forest valleys of Shili. He was the first-born child of this new couple, and from birth, he was known to be Force sensitive as are many Togruta. He was also a very curious child, and he took special notice of the animals around him.
At the age of 5, he noticed an animal at the edge of his family’s camp, and he finally decided to do something about his observation. Like most little boys, he wanted to be a man and to help out the tribe, so he followed the animal out into the wilderness. However, Brazi was not trained in tracking and in forestry, so he ultimately got lost in the forest surrounding his camp. Also, Brazi was unaware that most of the animals that his tribe ate were hunted in the scrublands, meaning that any animals he found in the forest would either be inedible or dangerous.
His family and his tribe searched for him, but they couldn’t conceive that a little boy would wander so far into the forest. Therefore, when he was not found, the Togrutas left Brazi in the wilderness. Luckily for Brazi, he wasn’t out there for long, as a young boy would not survive long in the Shili wilds. A Togruta Jedi was on Shili, visiting the home of his species and trying to make contact with someone in Brazi’s tribe. The two met each other in the forest, and the Jedi was able to save him. Finding the child took precendence to the Jedi’s desire to see a Togruta acquaintence, and so he took Brazi back to his family. When he found the tribe, the Jedi met with the Nevoks and told them that their son was Force sensitive. They agreed to allow Brazi to leave with the Jedi, and so Brazi went to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. As a five year old in the forest, Brazi had been scared and alone. He was happy to meet someone who was able to take him back to his family and away from the scary place. However, when he realized that he was not staying at home home, Brazi was confused and his fear continued. The kind Jedi explained what was happening, but Brazi was still unsure as to whether going with the man was a good decision. However, Brazi really had no choice in the matter.
And so Brazi spent the next seven years of his life at the Temple on Coruscant. He essentially grew from the boy he was into the young man the Jedi made him. Over the course of his studies, Brazi was an average student, showing promise in his sensing powers. His skill with sensing the presence of animals was particularly noticed and trained, showing that he might me valuable than most would think. In other parts of the force, Brazi was not particularly strong, executing horribly in the Body areas of Force training. Socially, Brazi never made an effort to be considered the most popular Youngling in his clan. Still, he made a few acquaintances with the other Younglings, and he never counted any of the members of his clan to be enemies, liking the majority of them and being apathetic towards others. Brazi’s main friend while he was training was a female Twi'lek named Pala who was two years older than him.
As Brazi approached the ending of his days as a youngling, Brazi put forth more effort in hopes of being chosen as a Padawan. This effort was increased as Pala reached her thirteenth birthday. She had yet to be chosen as a Padawan, and so she was sent to work in the medicorps. Also, Brazi’s desire to become a Jedi was strong in him because he wanted to make his leaving Shili worthwhile. Finally, he wanted to make his teachers and mentors proud because they were giving him so much attention. Over the seven years that Brazi studied at the Academy, he has had instructors whom he has love and others whom he has disliked. Still, as he looked back on the ones who he disliked as a young student, Brazi realized that those instructors had the most impact on his training. Consequently, by his twelfth birthday, his effort and skill were noticed as byproducts of his newly found determination.
There have been times when Brazi remembers his life back on Shili and when he focus on that life. Given, he was only a child at that time that he lived on that planet, so the majority of his life was spent at the Academy. Being a student has dominated his life, but he hasn’t completely forgotten life on Shili. However, what memories Brazi has have been heavily distorted and changed over time. They have become more like dreams than anything else. Still, this faintness of memory hasn’t kept him from wondering what happened to his family, to the mother who cared for him, and why his family had allowed him to leave. His focus has never placed blame for this perceived slight, but the desire for answers has flawed Brazi, affecting his future in the Order.
