This may seem like a rant, but here we go...
Is Star Wars confusing? Well, all of the different types of work, make me so confused. I know that many writers try to make it make sense, but it still leaves me confused. Anyone feel the same?

Oh, it certainly can be. The EU is, for better or worse, a bloated, sometimes self-contradicting mess. Not only that, but the universe is always evolving as new games, books or other things are introduced that can, sometimes to our chagrin, completely screw things up. But that's what comes with being one of the most successful franchises in America, if not the world.
But no, it's not not at all odd to feel that way.

It's good that I'm not the only one, and it is getting more confusing by the moment. I sure hope that Disney change the rating system.

Ah. Well, I've read most of the EU, as far as the novels go, and yes, the amount of information can be overwhelming. But I don't personally find it all that confusing.
And I'm not sure what you mean about Disney changing the rating system. What rating system?

There is a rating system in how close it is relating to the films. At the moment there is 5 different levels of how close it is to the films.

Hmm. I've never come across that.
Of course, with the new films of 7-9, it'll probably change that. Since they will most likely contradict most if not all of the EU.
