”Fashions come and go.” Danica shrugged and gladly took a seat nex to to Zarene. ”To be fair, I've never pegged you for a party animal. Is it your will or someone's order that brought you here?” She asked, dropping any pretenses of introductory pleasantries. The dark haired woman called for a waiter who appeared with drinks. She quickly picked one up while looking for Diarmuid. Ah there he was, pushing responsibility for own jacket on some helpless serf. Danica couldn't blame him – the Firrerreo displayed strangely upper class behaviors for a mere knight. Probably one with ascetic background.
Zarene noticed a sudden switch in the Firrerreo's around her to which Danica chuckled lightly. ”Life is about variety or so they say.” She smirked, trying not to show the question this stroke a nerve and certain insecurity. ”What about you? All alone” Danica waved at Diarmuid to join them, hopefully without any other food incident. If Zarene was with anyone in relationship Danica didn't know it though liked to listen all the juicy gossips.
”Diamruid, this is Zarene. Zarene this is Diamruid.” She made semi official introductions, assuming the two had seen each other in passing at least.

Diarmuid wove his way around tables and people alike as he made his way over yo Danica and her new companion. When he closed in, Danica waved him over, not that she needed to, but it was kinda nice. When he was a few paces away, he set a small smile on his face. It was somewhere between handsome, cocky, and predatory.
Danica introduced him to the Sith woman now: Zerene. He gave her a cursory look-over. She could have been beautiful, and still was, despite the half mask she had, and the cover over her arm. From what he saw of this woman whenever he was on a short stay at the Temple, that hid a damaged face and cybernetic arm. He gave a slight bow to the woman, one arm in front of his body above waist level, one behind.
A pleasure, Zarene. Happy to see I'm not the only one from the order in attendance to this grand event.
He straightened himself up fully, but didn't take a seat; he rather stand, as what he usually did when he attended such events during his time with the Jedi, than lounge around. He also had a better view of the people and anything interesting that may happen, but he doubt that would happen after the accident that previously went down. His orange eyes glanced over the women before him once again.
I hope I didn't miss much during my brief absence. You got me interested in what kind of talks you two must be able to have.

"A bit of both, really," Zarene replied in response to Danica's query. "They needed someone to accept Lord Alyema's invitation, and seeing as I'm still off the front lines, here I am." The waiter who Danica had called over attempted to offer Zarene a glass, but Zarene waved her off.
She chuckled a bit at Danica's next statement. "I'm sure Onin would love to hear you say that," she murmured. However, the arrival of Danica's new companion interrupted her from saying any more. As Danica made the introduction, the man greeted her with a slight bow before inquiring into their conversation.
Zarene arched an eyebrow. "What kind of talks? Dresses. Her taste in man. That sort of stuff." As he continued to stand in front of them, she looked him up and down. "Your shirt is too tight to properly conceal your weapon, while also inhibiting access to it," she said flatly. "Probably should have left it at home."

Danica nodded at Zarene explanation, leaving it without a comment. The Order made an effort to secure the aristocracy funds. Renata's admirable effort – some Sith would simply see the nobles subdued and their money forcefully taken. Bunch of brutes. ”Maybe you are right, drinks here aren't too good.” The human commented, seeing Zarene's reluctance to take a glass. ”For such fancy party, they surely went with cheap wine.” She sighed. For a girl raised among Core nobility, every beverage but the best fell in a 'lesser' category.
”Nieraan is away with Jack, I don't think he would mind much.” Danica snorted, though some bitterness did seep into her words. The mutual hate she held for her lover's best friend was no mystery. They were openly hostile which would soon turn into a ridiculous cat fight. Danica grew up treating attraction between two men as something natural and Jack was yet another rival. Even worse than a female one.
The Firrerreo joined them, this time looking cleaner. He greeted Zarene with neutral politeness, betraying the two didn't have much relationship back from the Temple. ”The conclusion was: my taste in men is flawless.” Danica quickly cut in, a smirk forming on her lips. A smirk that turned into an amused snort when Zarene commented on Diarmuid's weapon and a poor job he did in hiding it. She quickly hid her snicker in another gulp of drink. Finally expecting the things to get interesting. An angry duel would certainly reanimate this zombie party. With a quirked eyebrow, she waited for the Firrerreo to return the ball with something equally passive aggressive.
Delightful.

Diarmuid was absentmindedly listening while Zarene was talking about the womanly talk. It wasn't much of topic that he was normally interested in: not as much juicy gossip that he heard coming from some women. But most women weren't Sith. And then she looked him up and down and commented on his shirt and weapon. There wasn't a second delay for Diarmuid's next words
Leave the shirt at home? Sorry, but I like to look on point in public.
Diarmuid knew full well that Zarene meant his collapsed spear, but he decided to have a little fun. He sat down in his own chair right after he finished speaking. He crossed his legs in a polite fashion, leaning back. His smile never left his face.

Zarene couldn't help but chuckle in amusement at Danica's comment regarding her flawless taste, along with a slight smirk in response to Diarmuid's response. "Touche."
She turned back towards Danica. "Still, Lady De Vries may take offense at the implication that you doubt her ability to provide sufficient security at her son's engagement party. You may want to watch this one." The amount of protocols and rules of etiquette that came with dealing with the Sith Aristocracy could be maddening at times, but Zarene was always of the opinion that if you were going to do something, then you might as well do it right. But surely Danica knew that already. A few brief lessons could hardly compare with a lifetime of growing up in the culture.
The sound of music could be heard as the center of the ballroom began to clear. "Looks like they're starting the dance...," Zarene murmured, as she spotted at group of young noblemen across the room glancing in Danica's direction. This ought to be interesting...

Sith pissing contests were entertaining to watch - the Order of the darksiders boasted with competitive individuals. It often led to various, often amusing incidents. Zarene never struck her as one of those types, unlike Diarmuid. Maybe that was how all Firrerreo were. Danica who vocally declared her indifference to a person’s species, distanced herself from Cassius’ narrow minded hatred. Upbringing is hard to root out though and even unknowingly, the Coruscanti woman formed hurtful generalisations or followed unjust stereotypes. ”Better not, we don’t want Lady De Vries to get a hear attack.” Danica remarked, hints of sarcasm tugging at her words.
”Or she will appreciate my caution.” Danica offered, not overly worried. Sith aristocracy was…different from what she was used to. Old, decadent bloodlines that considered assassination next best thing to garner more influence. She didn’t mind showing them that the Order was on her side.
The music changed and Danica immediately knew what that meant. The dark haired woman sighed, taking notice of a group of men that came their way. Some probably to nag her, others Zarene…Maybe a few would ask out Diarmuid, who knew with those shameless hedonists. ”Great.” The Coruscanti girl huffed. She was in no mood for their foolishness, especially considering none of them was Nieraan. An innocent dance meant little, but it could always coax the other side to being nagging. Her gaze travelled to Diarmuid, then quickly to Zarene. A devilish smile ghosted across her lips. ”Zarene, will you dance with me?” Danica asked, content with a solution that kept her away from other men. Sparing unnecessary hassle.

After a quick word, Zarene turned to speak a few words to Danica, who replied in turn. Immediately after that, the music changed, and experience from ears past told Diarmuid exactly what was going on.
He turned around, looking back towards the now open floor, and watched as couples started making their way there. Diarmuid hoped and prayed that there wouldn't be a dance, of any sort, here, or at least for the duration that he was around. Looks like that went up in flames like a Dantooine estate during the planets fall.
Even before Diarmuid could speak, Danica asked Zarene to dance, and Diarmuid dropped his half-raised hand. Well good thing he didn't need to say that he wasn't going to dance. He sat back in is chair, eyes closed in a relax fashion but senses open to everything.
Go have fun. I'll be here, avoiding that area.
((Months of waiting and possibly giving up... Well.. there it is... a post after the longest wait in history...
And I dont think Diarmuid likes to dance.. XD))

Zarene found herself quite taken aback by Danica's request. Raising her hand to her mouth to cover a not entirely convincing mock cough, she attempted to conceal the sudden spike in temperature in her cheeks. "I... I don't think so. I'm afraid I'd be a poor partner at these sorts of things, and I don't think I know the steps to this one."
"Besides," she gestured with a tilt of her head towards Diarmuid's half-raised hand as it fell, in an effort to deflect attention from herself, "It appears you already have a volunteer."
