Caedus stood at attention, his copper colored armor gleaming in the sun. He was told to watch over a durasteel container whose contents Caedus didn't know. Caedus thought to himself, Why must I stand guard like some common soldier? Eventually though, Caedus came to realize perhaps there was more to this guard job than his commanders were telling him.
Three Sith Generals past by where Caedus stood, and Caedus delivered a salute. The Generals returned it, only in passing and without a second glance at Caedus. I could be a Republic spy and the men here could care less, Caedus thought. Caedus placed his carbine ontop of the container, there was really no point in carrying it any longer than he needed too. Muunilist was under Sith control, and the Republic wouldn't dare attack it.
Caedus suddenly heard a soft beeping noise that seemed to repeat itself, at first Caedus thought it might have been some kind of explosive device and reached for his carbine. Then, feeling stupid, Caedus realized it was coming from his HoloNet Reciever that was on the belt around his waist. Caedus unhooked it and activated it.
The hologram of a Sith commander Caedus had never seen before flashed to life. "Lieutenant Corellisi" the commander began "I am General Ustar Opp. I have been told you are the one watching over the durasteel container?"
Caedus thought a moment and then said "Yes. Why?" General Opp looked incredulous, and after a few seconds Opp began to speak. "Never you mind Lieutenant. Just keep that container safe until it is picked up." Caedus looked down at the container and said "Might I ask by who?" "You could" was all General Opp's reply before the hologram dissapeared. Caedus hooked the HoloNet Reciever back on his belt, and picking up his carbine began to scan the area for the person who was to pick it up.

The Firaxan gunship began a slow wide spiraling down turn as it came down at the edge of the opening of the hanger silently as death herself extending landing gear and coming down to land in a small open area. Colonel Krael Arglos held the butt of his now ubiquitous disruptor rifle as he jumped down the three feet separating the bottom of the passenger cabin quickly followed by a squad of assault marines their heavily modified sith commando armor easily setting them apart from the sith infantry with in the hanger. The sith colonel didn't give his men any time to array themselves before he set off, his long strides quickly carried him though the hanger and into the main hanger corridor. Before he stopped a moment with in the corridor surrounded by the nearly identical silver plated sith soldiers as he escorts finally caught up he continued to scan up and down the corridor finally finding the correct hanger and entering it and easily finding the commando he was looking for his obnoxious copper colored armor glittering away like a blaster bolt in the dark. He strode towards the Lieutenant, Arglos' rank clearly show on his flat gray armor stooping just to the left front of him before speaking, "Lieutenant Caedus," he said one or two of the lower ranking marines threw salutes at the lieutenant.

Caedus saw the arrival of the Sith and their Colonel judging from the markings on the Colonel's armor. Caedus threw up a salute and said "Have you come to pick up the container sir?" Caedus obviously knew the anwser but decided to ask anyways.

Arglos gestured two two of the marines in the back before speaking "Of course, Sergeant Perklins, Captain Berkers take the container and load it on the gunship carefully" he stressed the final word as the two picked up the container and began loading it on a near by hover carrier and headed out of the hanger before he swung his head back to Caedus the orange-red tinted visor showing no view of his face.

As the troopers began to load it onto the hover craft, Caedus said almost as an after thought "Might I ask who this container is for?" then Caedus heard the distinct sound of blaster fire, and Caedus hurried out of the hanger to see who was shooting who.
Caedus saw Sith Troopers enganging a jumble of Rodian and Twi'lek mercenaries in combat. Caedus raised his carbine and fired two quick shots, and brought down a Twi'lek. Caedus rushed over to a Sith Heavy Gunner, and asked quickly "What happened?" the gunner replied without looking at Caedus, "They came in a Transport shuttle with credentials stating them as new recruits. Once they saw the container they began to open fire."
Caedus nodded and turned his attention back to the mercenaries all while thinking, who could have known what was in the container?, only one person popped into Caedus mind, General Opp. Pushing the thought aside, Caedus fired a blaster shot at a Rodian, who went down with a burn mark on his chest. Caedus may not have known what was in that container, but if his commanders wanted him to protect it, then that was what he was going to do.

Colonel was out into the corridor and shooting this disruptor rifle mere moments after hearing blaster fire erupt he fired a third shot as the marines rushed in vaporizing a twi'lek from the waist up and bellowing orders as the marines brought their disruptors, light repetors, and a few modified carbines up. Marines fire line! he said holding his fire while the marines got in their positions as blaster bolts zipped by the marines heads Fire at will! he bellowed out as he began squeezing off blasts from his disruptor rifle into the group of mercs fire from the six assault marines easily shredded the first few ranks of mercenaries. As Sergeant Perklins dragged a injured captain Berkers towards the the hanger opening "Olphea raise Admiral Barj advise him of the situation and tell him to send more marines! Marines! find cover!" he ordered yelling above the chaos slowly backing up firing his disruptor until he ducked behind a column.

Caedus was forced to dive behind a barack wall as a blaster bolt nearly took of his head. Crouching, Caedus peered around the corner and brought down a mercenary who was almost by the container transport. Caedus stood up and rushed forward to the hanger that once contained the durasteel container everyone was fighting for.
Caedus saw four Rodians and a Twi'lek make a break for the container, and Caedus unhooked a Gas Grenade and flung it at the mercenaries. The Rodians and the Twi'lek stopped dead in their tracks and began to clutch their throats.
Eventually they collapsed dead on the ground. Caedus fired at two more mercenaries who fell to the ground not to move any more. Caedus spotted the Colonel behind a column of men and Caedus rushed over to him, whil giving suppresing fire from his carbine. Stopping in front of the Colonel and panting slightly, Caedus asked hurridly "If I may, what is so important in that container?"

"Something very expensive and classified, and I'd have to shoot you if I told you more. he said bluntly brushing past the spec-ops soldier while pulling his pistol from his belt and shooting a single bolt trough both of the still suffocating mercs just as fourteen more assault marines and a squad of AC-11s came bursting though the last hanger on the corridor. "Take the container to one of the drop ships and load it. Caedus, your coming with use gather your kit and be in the hanger and ready to board the last Firaxan in thirty minutes." he finished slipping the pistol back in it's holster and marching down the corridor to the assembled sith at the other end of the corridor.

Caedus nodded and said "As you wish." Caedus turned to reenter the hanger to retrieve whatever supplies he had in there, but saw his way was blocked by a heavily armored Rodian thug.
The Rodian raised his gun to fire, before Caedus had even gotten his halfway in the air. Though just when Caedus was expecting to get shot, nothing happened, as a stray blaster shot hit the large Rodian in the face, killing him. By now, most of the mercenaries were either dead or had fled.
Caedus entered the hanger and picked up his supply pack and his vibrodagger which was lying on the floor. That's a helpful place to put it, Caedus thought as he picked it up. With all his stuff rounded up, Caedus turned on his heel and walked out of the hanger.
The guns had been silent for over a minute, and when Caedus reemerged from the hanger he saw why. There were no mercenaries left to fight. Those mercenaries who hadn't fled were lying dead, and scattered around the base. Caedus walked over to where the Colonel said, and giving him another salute he said "Now what sir?"

Arglos simple nodded to Caedus as he arrived before stepping up into the Firaxan drop ship gesturing to Caedus to follow as he took a seat at the front of the drop ship waiting for Caedus to take a seat before allowing the pilot to take off.

Colonel Arglos ordered the pilots to head up before turning to Caedus "We're going to one of the ships in the space docks." he said simply as the Firaxan slowly lifted off the ground and shot up into space carrying the prototype warhead safely in the rear as it headed towards the Blood Moon the flag ship of admiral barj.

Caedus watched as the ship rose from the ground and heard Colonel Arglos's anwser. "Hmm" was Caedus' simple reply. Caedus knew he had asked the question, but right now his mind was on other matters.
Caedus' and his base had been betrayed and Caedus was almost killed. But maybe that was their intention all along thought Caedus but he quickly shot down that idea. After all he was only a soldier. If someone was going to eliminate someone in the military it would be one of the higher ups.
Caedus saw a ship looming down on the transport, but Caedus wasn't worried. It was of Sith make and Caedus knew it was a Sith vessel. Caedus relaxed in the seat, and waited for the ship to dock. Eventually, the ship docked and the familiar sound of metal-on-metal told Caedus that they had landed. Caedus picked up his pack and carbine, and slinging the pack over his back and carrying the carbine, Caedus walked off the ship.

Colonel Arglos stepped off of the Firaxan and onto the main level of the Scythe-class destroyer Blood Moon "Captain Quillin take Caedus down to the foot slugger garrison bunks and find him one everyone guard the Firaxan with your lives." he finished quickly spinning on his heel to march out of the hanger to find the Admiral.

Captain Quillin walked forward and Caedus saluted him. Captain Quillin quickly saluted back, and began to head out of the hanger and down a long hall. Caedus passed numerous engineers, pilots, and soldiers on the way to wherever Quillin was taking him.
Captain Quillin stopped suddenly and pressed a button, and a blast door opened. Caedus entered the quarters and saw a scatter of lockers and beds. Caedus walked over to one in the middle of the room, and placed his stuff on top of it. When Quillin didn't say anything, Caedus assumed it was okay and he sat down on it, waiting for Colonel Arglos to return to brief him on what was goin on.
(I hope it's okay but I gave actions to Captain Quillin)

D3-VS dropped his guns from the ventilation shaft onto the floor of the Blood Moon. He had been on the Transport with the Twi'lek and his group, though he was disguised as a protocol droid. He watched lazily when they were poisoned by the Gas Grenade - idiotic meatbags - and had slipped away, since the toxic haze provided perfect cover; being a droid, he could not be poisoned.
Once he had gotten away from the firefight, he followed the target, a Lieutenant Caedus, and the other meatbags onto the Blood Moon. It was too easy. He wanted to draw out the hunt, and he also wanted to make sure that his other group members had some of their own fun. So he shadowed the target, waiting for a pleasing opportunity...

Caedus began to pace his chamber, but then after a while he became impatient and decided to leave the quarters and explore the ship. Caedus left every weapon but his vibrodagger in his quarters, after all I am on a Sith warship in space over the capital of the Sith Empire, Caedus thought. Caedus exited his quarters and began to walk down a long hall.

Post by Daxtei on Sept 30, 2008 21:12:27 GMT -5
Daxtei pulled out a small electronic device and stuck it through the small vent hole on the side of the durasteel container. After a few seconds, it beeped lightly and displayed that there was exactly one organic life-form in the room, Daxtei. Sighing with relief, Daxtei pushed up the top of the container and stepped out of it. It had cost him 100,000 credits to arrange to be in that cramped container, but that price was nothing compared to the bounty he would get if he nabbed this guy.
Suddenly Daxtei heard a thump behind him, along with the whirring of mechanics. Turning around quick as a flash, one of his hands going for the hopefully exposed visual wires on the throat, one going for the motion cables near the waist, and the others reaching to try and stop the arms from firing a weapon, Daxtei thought 'Shit, of course, a droid. Just my luck.'
