With a sigh, Karta rubbed her aching ear, stepping out into the bustling noise of the Calna Muun spaceport and waving away the eager porter. Poor boy was desperate to act like some kind of squire to the arriving Republic officers. Too desperate. As much as Karta loved being adored, something about the way the boy grovelled was very... pitiful. Nevertheless he respectfully stepped back with a bow, letting the lazily-dressed woman past.
Frankly Karta doubted she'd have been able to sustain much of a conversation with the boy anyway, considering her little Kitty-Bear had decided today was a good day to yell at her for landing the ship just to go out for a drink. Of course Karta had tried her usual puppy-eyed approach but Kitty-Bear seemed to have wizened up to that. Although perhaps offering her a round wasn't the best idea but who knows; storming off and slamming the door to her quarters might have been a yes in one of the many languages her assistant spoke. Maybe.
Stretching herself gently as she walked, Karta found herself in the fancier part of town before long, with all of the well-dressed men and women giggling haughtily arm in arm, heading to whatever fancy party they had been invited to. For a moment Karta even considered going back to the ship, fetching one of her dresses and heading to the party herself. Free booze is the best booze. But she reconsidered as she imagined Kitty-Bear's reaction; she'd probably commit a mutiny.
As dusk began giving way to the night sky, the blonde woman ducked into the nearest bar, recognizing it as a place she had been before during her time on the Titanica. Humming gently to herself as she slipped into the first stool at the bar, she motioned for the bartender to give her whatever was cheapest (just happening to be a very thick Sullustan wine), before peering around the room to see what was going on. And immediately her eyes fell on a particular girl at the bar with her, watching her curiously for a moment.
