D'Vhex stood in the center of the landing base watching Mandalorians clad in different shades and styles of Beskar'gam. We might be the most ferocious and the most colorful society in the galaxy he thought to himself. Continuing to search the board of departures, he remembered what had transpired months before. All preparations were made, his mother had been buried, his house locked. He had even taken time to activate the security systems around the house. D'Vhex returns to his thoughts after being jostled by a nearby Mandalorian late for his departure. He shoots Vex a dirty glare before hurrying off.
D'Vhex sighs and continues scanning the board for Vanquo departures. He's already been briefed on his mission. Vex continues to stare at the board wondering what the coming battles will bring. Could the Mandalorians hold the Republic at bay? The strategic importance of Vanquo is too great to risk, and he is prepared to do everything in his power to make sure Mandalore's plans come to pass, no matter the cost. It may be his first battle, but D'Vhex is prepared to fight, and die for Mandalore if needed. "Of course, that's what any Mandalorian would do" he thought bitterly to himself.
Sighing as he realized it would be a while before departures to Vanquo were called, he sat down near the case containing his equipment. Recieveing more dirty looks from the surrounding Mandalorians, he put on his helmet and analyzed various Mandalorians coming and going from the landing area. Some had deep rents in their armor, others were being carried by companions. Then there were the new recruits such as himself preparing themselves for the front lines. Those who had their helmets off tried to make a show of not being afraid. However their eyes said more than they ever needed to. Those idiots, so absorbed in false bravery, they will be the first to die. Others were visibly shaking, Vex was slightly less annoyed with them. At least they have the decency to be afraid.
Already fed up with the ammount of people surrounding the landing area, D'Vhex closed his eyes and attempted to tune out the sounds of people rushing to and fro while screeching at each other in Mando'a. "People annoy me..immensely".
