Salecumi, a dim sparsely populated planet home to few people. Just the type of place someone trying to hide would take refuge. The one large city on the planet teemed with life even at this late hour. D'Vhex stood on the top floor of a corporate building after crawling through the air vents. His range finder automatically scanning the crowd for his target. He had gained word that his target would be frequenting his favorite bar today. Foolish, if he was truly on the run, he would know never to frequent the same places.
D'Vhex's range finder then alerted him to his target. Name: Seren Kiaran, Scientist gone rogue after his work was discovered by the Sith and the Republic. The hutts want him dead due to his failure to pay his transportation fees. D'Vhex had already set up his slugthrower and was now factoring in distance and range. "This is the end for you Scientist" thought D'Vhex before squeezing the trigger and sending the slug home.

Estril looked down on the surface of Salecumi as he brought the Swift Silence in to land. He was just outside the only real town on the planet, and now he could see why. The planet was little more than a desert from what the Jawa could see, and on the horizon, a volcanic mountain range was visible. As Estril set down the ship and prepared to exit, his X2-series astromech rolled over and jabbered something at him in rapid-fire Jawaese. "No, we'll just be here for a while," Estril responded as he descended the boarding ramp. "I only have one target to worry about this time." And a potential asset as well, the Jawa thought to himself. Seren Kiaran, a scientist with an impressive track record. Wanted by Sith for his potential use, and wanted by Estril for his research in quantum physics. Smiling slightly to himself, the small Sith quickened his pace towards the lone town amidst the expanse of desert. Suddenly, the Jawa felt a slight tug in his gut. He stopped, worried. He wasn't sure, but he feared that Seren Kiaran may have been found already... and that the one looking for him hadn't thought much of the scientist's life. Hurrying forward, Estril rushed down into the town as he bounded forward with subtle bursts of Force Speed. As he neared the place that he had sensed the scientist to be, Estril's heart sank. There was a crowd around the outside, and he could tell by the fear and anxiety among them that something bad had just happened. Estril knew in his gut that Seren was already dead. He felt a flicker of annoyance, but it was almost immediately replaced by paranoia as the people turned towards him, pointing and whispering among themselves. The Jawa realized that they must have seen him coming in unnaturally fast and felt his stomach twist as he feared the worst. The onlookers' anxiety and suspicion turned to fear as Estril ignited his lightsabers and began to approach the bar.

D'Vhex saw what appeared to be glowing objects in the distance. He quickly looked back through his scope before cursing in Mando'a. "What the hell is one of those magic using freaks doing here!" Vex then brought his rifle to bear on the figure in the distance. Causing panic would only alert the local authorities making his escape much harder. If he could take out the jedi, he might be able to escape. D'Vhex then fired several slugs toward the figure in the distance aiming to take out either his arms or his legs with each slug.
Muttering to himself he switched to a mercy round. If this didn't sit him down then he'd use something more lethal. Vex continued to observe the figure through the scope of his slugthrower. "If this doesn't work, I'll escape to the landing bay and report my objective was completed, dying on this rock is not in my plans, and I'll be damned if this does not go according to plan". He then remembered his escape route. Use the grappling hooks provided by the Hutt and exit down the side of the building, then, he's weave his way through the crowds to reach the landing bay. After reaching the landing bay it's onto a transport headed to Nar Shadda. "If the Jedi catches me, the plan will take a drastic change." D'Vhex thought before putting his escape plan into effect.

Estril's advance was abruptly interrupted by a warning bell going off in his head. Instinctively, the Jawa jumped up and out of the way of two slugs from a slugthrower, which impacted the ground near him and made quite a crater considering their size. Estril looked up in time to see the civilians running, terrified, then once again felt a warning in his head as he jumped and flipped out of the way of yet another slug. Giving up on the civilians, the Sith caught his breath as his mind raced. He had lost his cool again, and it had nearly cost an entire neighborhood their lives. Not that the fact bothered him, but Estril knew that this was a troubling sign. He was losing control, and though his power came from chaos and passion, the Jawa understood that complete lack of self-control would be self-destructive. Still thinking, Estril looked up in time to catch a glint of metal in the distance. Squinting through his goggles, the Sith could make out an armored figure rapelling down the side of a building. "A Mandalorian," he muttered, knowing that Seren Kiaran must indeed be dead. As the Jawa prepared to cut the warrior off, however, an idea occurred to him. Quickly, he dashed back to his ship and sped out on his speederbike to catch up to the Mandalorian. He needed a deal with the Mandalorians for his project, and an opportunity had just presented itself. After all, Estril thought, with my lightsabers back at the ship the Mandalorian has no way of knowing that I'm a Sith. And I can be quite persuasive, especially when reaching compromises...
