Bystkyn ((Miqo'te Final fantasy 14. Example of Children of the Sun)) Concept here note: this app is only for Children of the sun. Name • Bystkyn Type • Humanoid, Home World • Kenekes (Custom) Influence • Sedentary. Ethos • Explore and grow. Allies • Legion Enemies • Rivals • Ecology Bystkyn vary between families and hemisphere based on where they grow up. Those in the northern hemisphere appear more humanlike, save for animal features such as ears and tails, or scales, feathers, ext. Males average from 5'7" to 6'0" and weigh 160-220lbs on average. Females are shorter and weigh less, averaging 5'3" to 5'8" and 110lbs to 150lbs. The average lifespan for all Bystkyn is 150-200 years of age, with being considered an adult at 25, and middle age at 75. At about the age of 25, they hardly visibly age until they near middle age. Force sensitives individuals have been known to live longer, up to 400 years, and rare cases up to 500 years. Bystkyn are force sensitive, but it is rare, about 1 in 10000of the population are force sensitive. These children are considered blessed and are often prophets and healers in the past, and are expanded to Jedi now with proper training. Children of the Sun: The Children of the Sun, or Sun Child, as the are known, are the most humanoid of the two types of Bystkyn. They appear as Human at first, with elements of animals, mostly consisting of ears and tails of the animals they evolved from rather than the lack of a tail and animal ears that humans have. Reptilian types have scales patches on them in random places, changing from each individual, yet are warm blooded as a mammal would be. The most common types are felines and canines, with reptilian, bovine, and rodent being rare, but not fully uncommon. Besides their animal features, they have elongated canine teeth, enhanced eyesight and hearing, and are faster than a human. This is across the board. There are no insects type, and each Bystkyn is only one animal type, even if there are two different types for parents, such as a panther mother and bovine father. The child would be one or the other. Children cannot jump species unless there is one within the last 5 generations. So if a great grandfather was a fox, but the actual parents were a dog and a lizard, the child can be a fox. Children of the Moon: the Children of the Moon, or Moon Child, more resemble the animal they evolved from than humans. Like Children of the Sun, reptile types are warm blooded, which can give them the edge to ignorant people thinking otherwise. Those evolving from serpents tend to lack legs, instead having a long, serpent body, but have arms. {Unusuable currently) Children of Twilight: This is a hybrid of both the Children of the Sun and Moon having a child together. Children of Twilight, or The Twilight, have aspects of both parents, such as appearing as a human but having wings for arms, or a horse or snake body with the torso of a Sun Child. (Unusable currently) ((Children of the Moon and Twilight are unusuable but here for history reasons)) Culture There is no discrimination between any of the Bystkyn: Though they evolved separately, they are all together on the same planet, aiming for the same goals. They all go to school together, work together, and live together. School last from age 6 to age 22, with the last 2 years being real world experience to prepare everyone for what awaits them in life. Bystkyn do not believe in Monogamy, and instead can take multiple mates of varies types into families. This often leads to harems and reverse harems with the strongest at the top choosing who they want, with the agreement of the one who they want. Birth is given in Litters of 2 to 6 children, with a 80% survival rate. Survival rate is only 20% for those of mixed Sun and Moon Children, making Children of Twilight rare. The Right of Adult is taken at the eve of a Bystkyn's 20th birthday, and is more of a tradition than anything else. The individual is sent into the wild for the night and must meditate to find their path in life. In recent times, its usually a large campout involving the entire family and is a party that last all night. Multiple families tend to come together for multiple Bystkyn doing the right on the same night. Bystkyn have special tattoo ink that have be dissolved with a special chemical solution, painlessly removing the inkwork. Many Bystkyn change their tattoo's often, and it isn't uncommon to see children to elders supporting tattoos. Naming structure for the Bystkyn has changed radically over the last 200 years, becoming more human in their structure. They use family and clan names in public, with personal names in private and with close friends and family. Common/large clan names are Tem'mara, Sen'suin, Mis'htil, and Gal'gado. The first part of the clan name is the family name, and the second part is the clan. (I.E. Tem family of clan Mara.) There can be multiple families in a clan. (I.E. Mis Family of clan Mara) Males bring their family names over to a different clan, which are ran by females. ((First names are basic human names of any sort, generally European and Asian)) Heterochromia iridum, or dual colored iris in an individual, has been considered bad luck and misfortune for much of their history, with children born with it either killed or, if not that, banished and left to fend for themselves. Within the last century, this has lessened, and those with the condition are allowed to live a normal life. There are exception, as some houses still practice this. It is fairly rare for a bystkyn with this to be seen anywhere. History Bystkyn history involved during the time of the Infinite Empire, and Kenekes was created as a planet to produce slaves. However, before anything could happen, the Empire fell, and the future Bystkyn were forced to evolve alone on Kenekes. The Bystkyn, as they would become known, grew colelctively, remaining at about the same technology level until they began to involve themselves with each other. Rather than going to war, they grew together, uniting as a single species until the surface was under one banner, that of the Bystkyn. Few types tried to oppose that, and they were knocked down and forced to submit. As one, the Bystkyn worked to develop new technology and grow, exploring Kenekes, and soon the solar system. Within the last 200 years, they developed technology to travel outside their solar system, with several colony ships leaving Kenekes. These ships were thought lost when they were actually integrated into the galaxy. Eventually, they were found by the Pathfinders of Legion. With their help, they were fully uplifted to the Galaxy at large, showing them that the Bystkyn were already beginning to thrive. Galactic travel became easier with Legions help, going from less than a million out in the Galaxy to many millions slowly involving themselves. Legacy Clause • The Bystkyn can be used by anyone. |
