The dues aren't exactly that high, and it pays for the operations that the government doesn't pay for itself and it lets the adventuring boys and girls actually do their roaming out and about.
These can include various things like taking job requests posted by the job office, posting job requests for people to do Organization members to do, working jobs for the organization (mechanic, pilot, secretary, computer technician), or even joining up as one of the factfinding teams. There's not really a set minimum number of tasks but it can be generally understood to be "more than one a month"
It could be financial, it could be information, it could be a place to park their ship for a while, or it could even be as small as a hot meal.
The organization does after all, function as a strategic reserve and will be reconstituted as an actual combat unit should the cold war go hot and the call go out for soldiers.
Should a member find another member in dire need of assistance, all efforts should be made to assist or find persons who can assist, even should the other member request otherwise. This was quite helpful in the earlier days when most members suffered from shell shock in minor or major forms and remains ongoing in order to make sure that the more egregiously affected continue to receive psychological help. Traditions All members must pass a fitness evaluation according to the standard recruiting specifications, and a training regimen will be issued should any member fail to pass the evaluation in order to get them fully up to scratch. All members must attend an annual camp that refreshes their marksmanship and hand to hand combat ability. All members are expected to own some sort of personal weapon, including a handgun for concealed carry, and some sort of long arm with adequate armor penetration ability (machine gun, rifle) to defend against the occasional Mandalorian terrorist attacks. Yes, all mandalorians look the same in their armor, yes, they all wear armor, yes, they are all armed, no, ethnic cleansing is bad and will not be happening now or ever. That said, keep a lookout for suspicious activity and an ear on the police scanner. Members None right now Legacy Clause • Just let anybody else join. It'll change if the cold war goes hot. |
