Skillion Cybernetic Arm Prosthetic Cybernetic Arm Name • C.L.R-A vr.4k28 Classification • Military arm replacement prosthetic Origin • Skillion Medical Advancements Specifications Size • - Height: 4 inches - Width: 4 inches - Length: 35 inches NOTE: The dimensions of each individual limb varies from sentient to sentient. One prosthetic could be for a human, and another for a Gamorrean. As such, more precise measurements are required to tailor the limb to each individual user. Appearance • This mechanical arm makes no use of synthskin coverings, keeping its metal frame on display (although the more delicate interior workings are encased in synthskin gel to prevent dirt and other similar small irritants from damaging them). A little on the bulkier side, its appearance can be described as intimidating, giving off the sense of a powerful enhancement on the user's biological frame. Function Used as a replacement for an arm lost in combat, the C.L.R-A functions as a prosthetic to allow the maimed individual full sensation and control of their old limb via synth-net neural interface. The power cell is based in the shoulder of the prosthetic and as a result the shoulder plating is more heavily armoured than the rest of the limb to prevent any rogue blast or projectile damaging it. A little bulkier than other cybernetic replacements, the C.L.R-A provides a small boost in strength to the user through complex motorised joints, tougher tendon-cords that replicates higher muscle mass, and duranium alloys to enhance the limb's durability. This comes at a cost to sensitivity; though feeling is still existent, it is described as having a "numbness" in the limb. There is also some minor fine motor control sacrificed for the added power, which limits the cybernetic's utilisation in more delicate tasks. In addition, one of the following weapons can be mounted inside the forearm and fired through an opening in the palm: Carbonite projector Flamethrower Acidthrower Two canisters of the chosen weapon are loaded into the forearm, a process that can take up to ten minutes to successfully perform and requires the proper tools. Each canister contains enough to last up to five seconds of constant spray and can reach a distance of five meters. The flame and acidthrower options fire in a cone area, whereas the carbonite has slightly more precise and narrow spray pattern. It takes two seconds for the hand to lock back into position to fire, and the user can choose to fire one or both canisters (if available). Once chosen, the weapon option is permanent and cannot be switched out except through extensive surgery (involving replacing the entire forearm section of the cybernetic) as each option requires separate materials and containment to be utilised safely. NOTE: The improvement to strength does not improve the stats of the character it is applied to. The increase allows the user a bit more strength with that arm than the other, but not to the extent that it changes your statistics. |
