Monitor-Class Imperial Breakthrough Cruiser Name • Monitor-Class Classification • Ship Origin • Yulana Heavy Engineering Specifications Size • How big is this thing? Give rough estimates in metric measurements (meters) - Height: 91m - Width: 84m - Length: 625m Appearance • The Monitor-Class is a large almost insectile warship constructed of large overlapping plates like the carapace of some great beetle. The Ship almost appears to have a maw at one end and terminates in a single thrust unit made up of eight individual engines. The ship is segmented into three main sections broadly consisting of command and weapons at the front, crew, and hanger in the middle, and engines along with engineering at the back. Internally the ship starts at three decks in the forward section which consists of the ships bridge and command and control systems as well as officer's quarters and amenities. This is then connected to the middle by a five three deck module consisting mostly of escape pods and security. The uppermost three decks of the midsection are made up of crew quarters and services with deck five and six making up the hanger, support bay, and along with deck four storage. This is then connected via a nearly identical copy of the forward linking module to the drive section made up of engineering, storage, and the engines themselves. The ship's weapons consist of heavy turbo lasers and torpedo's occupying the ships "maw" with a line of twin medium turbo laser turrets running along the spine and keel. One Assualt missile launcher lays in a groove along the spine of the ship in the midsection which also houses the ship's weapon batteries. Each side of the crew module is protected by a single light turbo laser battery mounted a the center and midline of the ship which is flanked on either side fore and aft with medium laser cannon batteries. Function The Monitor is designed to use it's comparatively thick armor and heavy forward facing weaponry to punch it's way through republic battle lines to allow smaller sith ships to sweep behind into the rear.
