"Yhre!!!" Danica's furious shriek exploded through the mansion's hallways. It was the sound of a mother that was both terrified and enraged. The boy who haphazardly balanced on a chair jumped down and began to run, knowing his mother's ire. "Get back here. I told you not to climb on the furniture." Danica called after Yhre, but she only caught a glimpse of dark blue hair vanishing in one of the corridors. The woman let out a sigh of frustration. Her youngest was a defiant troublemaker, just like she had been back in the days. Yhre took much after his father's species but not the temperament. The boy was Liviana through and through. To her endless dismay.
A faint buzz in her comms went off, alarming Danica the new...hireling arrived. "It is not over, young man." She huffed and quickly headed toward the main doors. The mansion was a spacious hybrid of Imperial and Coruscanti architecture. No matter how far Danica was from home, she couldn't fully let go of it. The heavy, overwhelming blocks that filled Darmund Kaas were offensive to the Coruscant born aristocrat. She wanted for her home to show that you can take a woman away from the Core but you can't take the Core out of her.
On her way to the main hall, Danica stopped by one of the cupboards. She could feel her hands trembling as they searched for a small container filled with the black and red goodness. Ahhh...diazepam. Her happy pill. They had helped to dull pain after Cassius had taken Marcus years ago. Nowadays she used it to temper the frustrations of her daily, slightly boring life. Nieraan was often away on Darth duties which left her alone with two troublesome kids and a company to run. Yhre and Nadirria were a handful, especially Yhre who was temperamental and mischievous. Just like his father. Nadirria was calmer, colder even and more distant. Sometimes when Danica watched her daughter's mannerism, listened to her aloof tone of voice she had only one association - Cassius. It terrified the human woman in the ways she didn't want to admit.
The nagging buzz of the comm caused the irritation to swell in her. She crushed three pills of diazepam between her white, flawless teeth and hurried to the door. A green, flowing dress danced behind the woman, from time to time catching one of the expensive, beige shoes. It was something a typical local aristocrat would wear, but Danica's coiffure screamed the Core fashion. For the Sith purists, she often looked like a strange, cultural mix who invaded their space with her hybrid offspring.
Finally, Danica reached the main hall. The pills had already pleasantly detached the uncomfortable emotions. Happy and slightly high, the woman was ready to meet this new..babysitter. The children crept nearby, interested in who could be visiting at this early in the morning.
