As Daryn made himself comfortable in her co-pilots seat, she glared daggers at him. Yeah, she'd asked for a co-pilot, but not one that went around touching controls without even batting an eyelash in her direction for permission. Smacking his hand away from the control panel, she snorted slightly and flipped her hair beads back over her shoulder.
Don't get grabby with the controls boy, she's temperamental at the best of times...and so am I.
She warned before turning and flipping a switch. As she did she noticed the sword that Cuir had settled against the wall and blinked a few times before actually hearing his question.
Yeah actually. Best I could get for her at the moment.Now...about your sword. Need a place for it? Honestly, I don't feel like getting hacked in two the moment we hit hyperspace.
She stated with a raised eyebrow.
That goes for both of you. If you have weapons you need stored, tell me now. I wanna get off this rock ASAP.....
She stated simply.
...I hate this place...
She grumbled to herself as an afterthought. Honestly, she was wondering if she should just drop kick Daryn out while they were still landed, but her sense of honor kept her stuck to her word to him. She'd said he could help out for a cut of the pay, and so she'd let him....if she, or more likely Cuir, didn't kill him first.

Cuir snorted as she chided Daryn, if the man was the pilot he claimed to be he would've known better. He felt absolutely no pity for the man. At all.
Cuir looked at her puzzled, at the rapid change of subject, before glancing at his sword and understanding, "Huh? Oh yeah, might be a good idea."
He was surprised at her disdain for this place, while Cuir was use to small confined spaces, nothing was better than being on an open planet. He had only come across a couple of planets that he had actually hated, and they were usually complete wastelands, like a certain desert planet to name a few.
He stood and picked it up, "Anywhere in particular?"

She nodded slightly and headed to the main cabin once more, but only after giving Daryn a warning look that told him not to touch anything. Honestly she felt like she was babysitting that guy. Sighing, she walked over to the weapons panels and pressed a few buttons. A long slot opened revealing a place that would normally have stored sniper rifles and other long objects. It was a little wide for the sword, which was saying something, but it looked as if it would fit well for the most part.
Here. This should do fairly well. It's a little....big...I suppose, but your sword shouldn't jostle around too much.
Italia folded her arms and stood back watching him from deep green eyes. Tilting her head to the side slightly, she finally got around to looking him over fully. There was something....odd...something different...about him, but she couldn't quite put her finger on what it was. He looked human, acted mandalorian, he was rough around the edges but so were most mandos, he wasn't bad looking either. Shaking her head she brushed the last thought aside.
Well...will it do?
She asked, still running over the various check lists she had going through her mind...not the least of which was one trying to size up Cuir.

Cuir caught Italia sneaking glances at him. He wasn't use to this much attention, especially from someone of the opposite sex. It was a little awkward. But that was to be expected, as Cuir kept sneaking glances at her. Cuir shrugged the feeling off and put the sword into the empty space she had just made.
"Thanks, I appreciate it," replied Cuir.
He caught a small whiff of something from her, it was an interesting smell, something that caught him off guard. It wasn't a bad smell, not in the least. Probably one of those things that women wore to make themselves smell pretty. It was probably faint enough that most people wouldn't have smelled it, but Cuir's sense of smell wasn't normal.
Cuir took his seat and leaned back, his mind drifting off. He doubted he had much to worry about, despite the fact that Daryn had so far irritated the osik out of him, most cocky spacers were at least adequate pilots, and Italia most likely would've been able to handle herself, otherwise she wouldn't have lasted long as a bounty hunter.
He consciously started playing with one of his throwing knives as his mind wandered. This mission shouldn't have any problems. but lasting for a few days around a mando woman that made him feel weird, and a spacer, whom he was sure he'd probably kill by the end of the trip was going to be a little tough.
He wondered how Owen would fair, making the trip in his fighter without being able to stretch or using the 'fresher.

After taking about an hour to prep his ship Owen had powered her up fully. With shields reading all green, weapon systems all online, scanners reading all life signs, and all other things looking perfectly fine. Smiling Owen would take a few moments to look around the bay he had landed his ship in before giving a light sigh. Letting his ship slowly get power as his right hand slid up the throttle stick, he could feel its light rumbling before slowly lifting from the ground.
Steadily climbing into the air the Silvia would shudder slightly as Owen jerked the controls to dodge a transport before continuing it. She was a pretty sight really with her gold and white tinted starfighter hull. Getting her steady again Owen would take her into orbit around the ship before sending a transmission down to Italia's ship.
"Hey I am in orbit above the planet tell whats his name that the bay is his. Let me know when I can hook up with you above the planet for escort duty. Cya all soon."

Daryn rose up to his feet as she slapped his hands away from the controls and started having a fit. Sure...he wasn't Mando. No, he wasn't some hardened, blood-thirsty warrior...but then again, he didn't have to be. That wasn't his job. His job, as it was, was to pilot, to act as her copilot...and now she didn't even want him doing that? He'd had enough.
"Look. Honestly, I don't give a hair of rhonto about you and your little mando boy toy's flirtations." He was pissed and honestly not giving a damn about their tempers. He grabbed his jacket and shouldered it on, pointing to both of them. "I don't care about your opinions about me, not being a holier than thou Mandalorian."
He passed by them both, intent upon leaving the bridge. "What I care about is doing my job. The job that I'm bloody good at and the job YOU hired me for, darlin'. The one you won't let me do now. So, since I don't feel like being a voyeur or report for Holonet Geographic on the mating rituals of Mandalorians, I'm going to find a job with someone that will actually let me do it. You two have fun."
With that, he proceeded to make his way towards the cabin he'd recently picked, grabbing his duffel and preparing to leave.

Italia shrugged.
Fine. Honestly I wouldn't have a problem with you if you kept your smart remarks to yourself Mr. Can-do-no-wrong. I did higher you, and that's why I've not raised more of a fuss with you than I have. I keep my word. If you don't like me tellin' ya that my ship's temperamental...if you can't handle that...then it's best you get off now before it's too late.
If you can keep your tight pants on for a moment longer, then you can have all the fun you like with that console fly boy. She needs a few things done before anything can be read accurately.
She snipped back as he grabbed his things. Her attention was no longer on Cuir, and honestly, she didn't even give a damn when Owen's voice came up over the com-unit. Glaring at the stuck up know-it-all, Italia reached behind her to press a button.
Yeah. I'll let you know Owen. We're just having a little....business meeting....here at the moment.
She stated, before returning the com-link to where nothing would be heard on their end by Owen.
Go if you like. I'm still willing to work with you, but you MUST do as I say...or....if you prefer, you can fly your own way there and help us bag the dratted thing and I'll pay you for that. Take your pick fly boy. It's your ball.
She added, returning to the pilot's seat and flipping another switch before entering a code in mandalorian. The control pannel flickered for a moment before coming to life with various readings on the true state of the ship. Cursing, she stood again and brushed past both men not even looking at them. Pulling up a grate, she slid into it and growled something in mandalorian, before disappearing completely into the grate.
Bloody Cannoks!
She cursed as an odd sound came from the grate followed by scuffling and the sharp cry of something dying. Moments later the dead body of a cannok was tossed out of the grate, landing inches away from the two mens feet. Italia's head reappeared as she hoisted herself out and brushed past the two once again to the control panel.
God....I can't believe it at the live wires....it had to be the shields too....
She mumbled, before returning to the grate with wire splicers and a cap. Sliding in once more, she set about fixing the wiring for the shields.

Cuir continued to play with his knife while Daryn and Italia fought it out. At the moment it didn't concern him, if and when it eventually did then he'd deal with the situation, otherwise he felt if it was better just for him to sit there. It was only when Italia got back up from her pilot seat swearing in Mandalorian did he snap out of his reverie.
Of course having a dead animal land at your feet also did much to have someone snap you back to attention. He already knew exactly what it was, one couldn't have spent any time around Onderon and Dxun without ever running into or hearing about cannoks. They were annoying vermin.
He looked up the grate to where Italia was working, mumbling about the shields, "You need any help? I'm pretty good with tools."

Italia looked up from the grate, blinking at the question. Help? Well, yeah, she could use all the help she could get, but not all of it was physical. She shrugged slightly and hoisted herself out of the grate.
Not really....at least I hope not. Let me check the shields again. Daryn, if you're staying, c'mere and check the stats now that they're accurate.
She stated, tossing the splicers and wire caps to Cuir as she passed. Sliding into her seat once again, she growled something under her breath and sighed.
left turret is offline. See if you can find where the stupid thing ate through those wires, eh?

Cuir looked at her and shrugged, before disappearing into the grate as well. It took him a few minutes of crawling to find what he was looking for. The most of the wiring was already chewed through by the stupid cannok. It took him a few seconds to rewire everything back to the way it was.
Splicing the wires together something else caught his eye.
He yelled back, "This is running off a Quadex, isn't it? You know, if you just wire it straight through, instead of all these reroutes, you'll probably give your guns maybe a 5-10% increase in power," he paused for a second as he checked the regulators, "As long as your regulators aren't a decade old they should be more than capable of handling it."

Italia glanced behind her for a moment and shook her head. What was it with men and fixing things? She'd never been one to fix things easily. No, she'd focused instead on security and the like. Her brothers were the ones that liked fixing things.
Actually, I need to replace them with this bounty. They aren't quite 10 years yet, but...they're getting up there. Just find the wires that are chewed through would you? We need to get the hell outta here.
She called back to him.

Cuir shrugged and started splicing the last set together.
Alright, alright, don't get your beskar'gam in a bunch. Just give me a sec.
Cuir grabbed the last two ends to be spliced and swore in mando, when they accidentally crossed. It gave him a decent shock. So much for being genetically enhanced, couldn't even keep 2 dikut'la wires from touch. Fortunately, the wound could've and would've been worse if it wasn't him who had been shocked. Now it was just a little red and should heal pretty quickly although the bandages wrapped around that area were slightly charred. Hopefully, no one looked too closely realized the burn was no where near as bad as it should've been.
Well at least times like this still confirmed to himself that he was still in fact human, sometimes that fact floated around in that air for a while.
"Done," yelled Cuir from the hatchway
He crawled back out the hatch and made it to his seat, after sliding the grating back into place, idly hoping Italia would wait until he was strapped in before taking off.
"Ready to go as far as I can tell," stated the Mando simply.

By the Sith this woman was seriously fortunate that he needed the credits right now. He hovered mid-step for a couple seconds, ready to hit the ramp and space all these arrogant Mandalorians...but Daryn wasn't without pragmatism. Sighing, he chuckled that bag back into the room as he walked around the hole in the floor that the male had dipped down into to fix.
"If we get some downtime, we need to go over this ship. If HE can realize a better way for the wire rerouting, Force knows what else we'll find. You really should take better care of your ship. It's not armor or a weapon, but it's part of your equipment all the same. Basic power output, shielding, weapons, sensor suite. I've got a pretty slick suite on the Ante Up, but I know a number of its capabilities can be emulated on other systems with just a little finessing. I'll do that free of charge for a fellow bounty hunter, especially a cute one. Even if you have an attitude."
He was still pissed, but at least he was trying to be somewhat concilliatory. If they managed to spend more time together without ripping out each other's throats...they'd learn that this was actually quite good for him.
Daryn slid back into that co-pilot's seat, raising his hands to the controls, pausing to arch a brow in her direction to make sure that it was "okay" for him to do so. Only once he'd received it would he touch them and begin going over the readouts.
"Sublight power output and repulsors are working at 97% capacity. Your little pests probably got a nibble in there too. We'll be okay to get out of orbit and hit hyperspace. Once in hyperspace, we can cut power to the sublights and repulsors, fix the damage. Weapons and shields are reading nominal. Not a bad job there..." He glanced back to Cuir as the man slid back into his seat, giving up the grudging acknowledgement and respect for the job he'd done.
"All we need is clearance for departure, everything else is good to go...at least enough for us to get off this rock."

Spare me the lecture please Daryn, I know. I'm not the best out there with fixing almost anything related to ships or engines and wiring. I work with security. Sorry if the last person I went to did a shoddy job, but it can't be helped now.
She grumbled, hoping she sounded at least somewhat angry as opposed to how she really felt...ashamed. As the systems were checked, she nodded at each and requested flight permissions over her data screen. When Daryn gave the green, and flight control did the same, she nearly shouted for joy. Finally....FINALLY....she could get off this rock. She HATED this place.
We're in the green. Cuir, hurry up and get buckled in, eh? We're stallin' for you.
She added over her shoulder, glancing out of one eye at the man behind her.

Cuir nodded at Daryn's comment as he caught the slight change in Italia's pitch when she snapped at Daryn although he wasn't sure what it meant. He wasn't always the best at machig tones with words, but it seemed like either embarrasment or shame.
Cuir was already strapped in by the time Italia had turned and looked at him, "I'm ready to go whenever you are."
He started unwrapping the bandages around his hands, might as well considering he wasn't using his sword and the fact that they were now partially charred, kind of useless. He opened a pouch on his belt and stuffed them in.

Nodding, she lifted off. Turning in the proper direction and angling the Ghost Star upward, the ship shot forward, breaking free of the atmosphere at last. Brining the ship into orbit above the planet, she pressed the button for the comlink. Alright Owen...finally got off that damn rock. We're set for the hyperspace jump. I'mma sling-shot her, catch up to me in the mean time. Hopefully we'll meet on the way 'round. She said as she nodded toward Daryn to get the hyperspace check done. So far everything was green on her end. Engines, shields, weapons...god forbid they'd need them THIS time around. Hold on to your balls boys. She stated with a grin, as she built up speed using the planets gravity. Half way around and she brought up the hyperdrive with the press of a few buttons. They were on their way. (Hal, care to start space thread? Owen, you can post here then post there, or whatever...i'll post link here once Hal starts it. ))

Daryn decided to be merciful and refrained from further comment. He blustered enough that he could recognize it in front of others and he felt that he might just have hurt that Mando pride a bit. Well, maybe he could teach her a thing or two. He doubted their paths were going to stay together much past this mission, but that didn't mean that he wished ill upon her in the future. Shoddy wiring job like this could leave her dead in the water...or worse. If she blew power in the middle of a hyperspace jump....
Well, no one would be likely to see her again.
He ran over the hyperspace checks one more time, using that expensive schooling to good use as he rechecked some of the math manually. Though he was often boisterous and overly talkative, there was a brain in that little dandy. He'd loved math...and much as he enjoyed splicing, it gave him a good bit of paranoia about the reliability of computers and automated systems. Finally, he nodded his head in affirmation to her and settled back, just in case her inertial dampeners lost power next as they slung shot around or hit hyperdrive.
