Legion and Republic V1

Prazhi hasn't seem to change much over the last little while. In the same breath, it has grown in leaps and bounds since the treaty between the Republic and Empire. Everywhere Vince looked, there was the hustle and bustle of a very active area, yet everything was neat and organized. He could do nothing but respect what has happened here. The planet being on the trade route wasn't bad either.

Especially when he could ship bacta and other products here cheaper than the competitors thanks to Legion being in close proximity to Prazhi.

But trade wasn't the reason that found Vincent here on Prazhi. Nope, it had to do with the Archeri Chorus, which was stomping closer and closer to Daalang and her surounding area. Legion space sat right in the middle of a busy trade route; four corners of sorts, between some Republic space and Hutt space. And the Archeri were blowing through Hutt space, and to Vincent, they were heading right for him.

He may have been able to hold out for a while, but he would need a little extra help to get through. The biggest superpower, who were also the closest, was the Republic, and their enclave was getting closer fast as the speeder he was in neared it. It wasn't long until the Summit between the Republic and Sith started, and Vincent saw this opportunity to get in some help.

Legion wasn't the biggest power in space, but it exploded from a small company to a number of systems in 20 years alone said something about Vincent. He hoped it would be enough to get some help to get as many civilians out of the blast zone and hopefully bolster defenses around the area. If not that then get the innocent out. They didn't need to face the onslaught of another war when many of them were still recovering from the previous one.

"Mr. Krenth, we have arrived."

"Oh that was quick. Thanks you. I will let you know when I have finished up here."

Vincent let the nameless Kingsguard open the door for him, then the guard, plus another 2 and a single Minder operative in the same uniform fallowed him in. Even if there weren't weapons allowed, he was hardly anywhere without some form of bodyguards. That included Prazhi. To Legion, Vincent was just too important.

With authority, Vincent and his small entourage entered the Republic Embassy, and his guard stood a few steps back as he finished his walk to the front desk. The receptionist looked at him and gave a polite smile.

"May I help you, sir?"

"Yes. Vincent Krenth to speak with the Supreme Chancellor."

"Yes sir. That would be you, to confirm."

"Yes ma'am."

The receptionist gave him a strange look, and mutter something under her breath about not giving some title, which was quite common. No, the closest he had been called was the CEO, or more lately Governor.

"He has been notified. Please wait and you will be lead in shortly. It shouldn't be too long."

Vincent flashed his charming smile, taking off his sunglasses and sticking them in an inside pocket. He moved to sit in a chair, unbuttoning his suit jacket as he did so.

“You know, D-1N0, it’s a fine mess we’ve found ourselves in.” Alder Vrieska, Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, reclined behind a broad desk in what had been made into a makeshift office. He wasn’t often at the Republic Embassy in Soldon, but the times had become unusual. The summit with the Sith Empire was soon to begin, and the Republic Embassy had turned into swarming hive with the teams of diplomats, planners, advisors and more that’d arrived onworld for the talks.

“So it seems, sir.” The protocol droid stood near Alder’s desk. He’d had a fresh polish applied to his silver plating. “One can only hope that the coming talks make things better, and not worse.”

“You’re tellin’ me,” Alder muttered. He flipped through a stack of briefings, communique and news reports on his desk. Sleheyron was falling into chaos, and the Strategic Information Service indicated the Mandalorians were preparing to make a move.

Meanwhile, the Republic’s forces had arrived at Bothawui. The latest reports, provided by General Stellar, were that the fleet had met little in the way of naval resistance from the Archeri and was preparing to begin ground operations.

Alder’s brow knit. That had the potential to get messy. He’d told Horst to relay that he wanted Bothawui retaken as cleanly as was feasible. The last thing the Republic needed was a crisis for turning on its own people.

“Sir, your guest is here. Mr. Krenth.”

The voice of Alder’s receptionist buzzed through a comm on the side of his desk.

Right. The Legion guy.

“Thank you,” Alder answered. He looked to the protocol droid and motioned toward the door. “Go bring him in.”

“Of course, sir.” D-1N0 turned and shuffled out toward the lobby.

He arrived a few short moments later, focusing his photoreceptors on Vincent. “Mr. Krenth, the Supreme Chancellor would see you now,” he said. “Please, follow me this way.”

[Ash]

Vincent wasn't waiting for too long before the whine of droid servo's caught his hearing. He looked up from the news article he was reading about Bothawui, mentally processing the new details he was reading and matching them up with what he experienced and observed while he was there. At the start of it all on that poor planet.

He would have blew the affected area out of existence if it was a neutral planet, saving others from a fate worse than death, but knowing the Republic, they would have saw it as a war crime. Especially since it was their planet. When the sound neared him, he tossed the article aside and stood up.

Vincent fallowed the droid in silence, buttoning his jacket back up. It was a very short walk to where the Supreme Chancellor was at. He immediately caught sight of the broad desk that seemed to take up the majority of the office space. Vince had a polite smile on his face as he approached Alder.

"Supreme Chancellor Vireska, a pleasure to be able to meet you."

Vincent held out his hand to shake the other mans. After that was done, he reached into a pocket and pulled out a data drive, setting it on the desk for Alder.

"I would like to start with this. Its recorded imagery of Bothawui leading up to and during the initial attack by the traitors under the control of the Archeri Chorus."

It also wasn't doctored too much and gave a pretty good review of how everything kicked off. Every good friendship started with an exchange of information, and Vince figured this was a good token of good faith that he and Legion were here to do their part to help the Galaxy.

Alder awaited, hands folded on his desk, as Vincent Krenth arrived in his office. The man, and the group he represented, was something of a curiosity. Legion, as it called itself, seemed to dabble in a number of things, arms manufacturing, and private enterprise, to ruling the far-flung world of Daalang.

“The the pleasure is mine, Mr. Krenth,” Alder said, standing to take the offered hand. He motioned at a pair of chairs situated before his desk. “Please, make yourself comfortable.”

He looked at Vincent expectantly as they sat. Alder could assume that Vincent’s concerns — like much of the Galaxy’s — were tied to the Archeri crisis. Was this appointment ultimately to be a plea for help, then, or did Krenth have other things in mind?

Krenth presented a data drive for consideration, saying it had information on the catastrophe at Bothawui. “Ah yes,” Alder said, as D-1N0 walked over to retrieve the drive. “I’m familiar with the situation.” He eyed Vincent, expression neutral. “A terrible development.”

But one the Republic was handling. Still, Alder could recognize a show of good faith when he saw one. He nodded. “Close to your space, isn’t it?”

[Ash]

Vincent sat down after given permission and handing over the drive. Alder didn't even touch the data drive before his droid walked over to retrieve it without a word. Vincent figured the man was just being careful and he droid was simply fallowing orders in grabbing items from strangers. It was smart, Vince thought, and imagined that the droid would hand it off to someone else for it to be checked out.

"Yes. It is very close, and it has all of us on edge. As I am sure it has You and the rest of the Galaxy."

By you, he was talking about the entirety of the Republic. He would admit, he was frightened. Not for himself, but for his space. His Company. His people. This was why he was here now.

"Chancellor Vireska, I hope you don't mind if I skip the majority of the small talk. I never had an eye for political talking."

Vincent folded his hands together, interlaced fingers coming up just under his chin.

"I would like assisting in evacuation people deeper into the core and away from the danger the Archeri."
