His father was Republic Army, and newly commissioned Lieutenant. His mother was a martial arts instructor near the military base where Julian worked out of. Mordred grew up with a mostly normal on Coruscant, getting above average grades. He didn't really stand out with the exception of physically laborious classes, where he excelled. His mother was the primary influence in his life, and he learned much from her mixed Echani heritage. His father was increasingly busy as he rose through the military ranks. Growing up, and spending time at his mothers place of work, he eventually became close friends with a half Echani girl named Kari. Her mother and his mother were friends, and the parents were glad their offspring became friends. Before Mordred graduated school and joined the military, his mother was killed by a drug crazy pirate. It is a dark spot on his life, but between Kari and his father, he made it through, harder than someone his age normally is. Julian was a Brigadier General when Mordred entered the Republic army. He was an officer within 3 years, at the age of 21. After that graduation ceremony, he asked Kari to marry him, which she said yes to. A year later, they were married. It wasn't all gumdrops for Mordred, as he had an independent and reckless streak, which, while he never did anything truly bad, made his superiors angry at him for skirting the traditional rules. They out him through rigorous training, such as ranger school and space assault, which he passed and thanks them for, much to their anger. By the time he was 24, he had much training under his belt that was one normally wouldn't be seen with. At that same age, he and Kari had their first and only child, which they named Felicity in honor of Mordred's mother. At the age of 26, Mordred was approached by the Republic Intelligence Services for his skills, and was recruited, leaving the military and becoming and Intelligence agent. As an Intelligence agent, he was to go undercover where needed, completing top secret missions both foreign and domestic. He thrived for this, and knew it was his calling. His nondescript and rather forgettable looks allowed him to thrive as a spy. He went home when he could to his family, and spent as much time with them as he could. For years, Mordreds missions mainly consisted of infiltrating pirate or terrorist organizations around the galaxy and report on them, ranking them on their potential threats to the galaxy. He was in the middle of one such mission when the Sith and Mandalorian made their appearance again, and a war restarted. 30 odd years of age and Republic Intelligence made good use of their agents, having them infiltrate around and work their magic with information gathering and espionage. Mordred was out of the spotlight for much of the war, not partaking in any major conflicts. In one mission, he was critically wounded and was thought to be dead while on Nar Shaddaa. He spent nearly half a year there recovering until he was able to break away and get back to Coruscant. This was during the Taris event in 3599. He was greeted warmly by his family, but the rest of the Republic was in deeper mourning than anything else. Mordred was assigned to a desk job while fully recuperating from his adventure, and his wife and daughter were glad that he was around. His seniority at being a field officer and not dying gave him much experience for others to draw from, he was was one of the top members of Republic Intelligence. During the Battle of Coruscant, the Director of Intelligence was killed, and he and the co-Director, as well as three others, worked to take up slack for a time. Another unfortunate causality was his wife, Kari. He and Felicity mourned her, and are still mourning. Especially Felicity with her reckless streak that he found himself in when he was younger. With the Director dead, someone else took up his spot,,but his time as any sort of field agent was off the table. Years of being a field agent found him always aiding Agents via the comm, him being in the war-rooms and was overseeing many agents personally. He was around for the signing of the peace accords. After that, was assigned to Prazhi, overseeing Intelligence operations there as the Bureau Chief of the section. Felicity was rebellious, joining the Republic Navy despite what Mordred told her, but as she was now 18, she could legally do what she wanted, and he allowed her to, supporting her despite himself. With the summit coming up with the Sith about the Archeri, Mordred ramped up all operations. He wasn't going to be directly involved with it, but he was still around to lend a hand if needed. |
