Nighthawk EBH MK. III concept here Name • Nighthawk Enhanced Battle Hood MK. III Classification • Armor Specifications Size • How big is this thing? Give rough estimates in metric measurements (meters) - Height: Varies from owner to owner - Width: Varies - Length: Varies Appearance • The Nighthawk EBH is a variant of the standard EBH designed by Vinson Dynamics. The standard EBH comes in different colors and styles, the Nighthawk being the name of a specialized black EBH. The Nighthawk EBH when fully deployed covers the whole of the users head and face, as well as the upper-most portion of the neck. When stored, the segmented hood collapsed down into an easily concealable ear piece that can be worn behind either the left or right ear. While stored, the hood will appear in a crescent shape starting behind the middle of the ear and slowly widens at the base to become a small circle. Press this circle for easy redeployment of the EBH. To store your EBH, the same button should be used. Function The Nighthawk is an advanced battle hood, designed to give the user the advantage in otherwise poor conditions. Designed with safety and utility in mind, the Nighthawk EBH has a plethora of features available for use. The main part of the Nighthawk EBH is built primarily with a phrik infused durasteel. The faceplate is a totally blacked out plastic/glass composite that's only able to been seen through by the wearer. Features of the Nighthawk include: Air Purification. This EBH has a built-in filter, able to counteract smoke and the most common toxins, however, highly pure, or complex toxins will not be detected by the filtration system. Basic Vision: The Nighthawk is designed to appear to the user as if they aren't wearing the Hood. Its tinted faceplate is specially designed to allow for near perfect vision from the user. Enhanced View: All of the Nighthawk's unique four "lights" in the center of the faceplate are designated for enhanced vision. They can detect heat signatures, see in low-light conditions, and are able to zoom in up to 2.5x. The Nighthawk EBH also has a HUD that will passively use these feature to display helpful information, like easily missed details in the world, such as recent footprints, grenade pins, scorch marks or blood. Oxygen Supply: In the chin of the mask, a very small amount of breathable oxygen is available should the Nighthawk's filtration systems fail. There is only enough for about 5 minutes of air, in this time your primary objective should be getting to a safe area in order to conduct a systems check of your EBH. --WARNING NOTE: Important for all users of the Nighthawk EBH. In Low-light conditions, the Nighthawk provides a better view by enhancing light. It should be noted that it enhances ALL light, meaning a sudden shift from darkness to brightness -i.e. a flashlight being shone in the face- will be too fast for the system to account for and could dazzle or stun the user due to the intense light-- --WARNING NOTE 2: As the Nighthawk EBH relies on lots of small tech pieces, high amounts of electricity directly applied to the system should be avoided at all costs. Should the system detect an influx of electricity, it will shut down and stow itself automatically-- |
