Czerka ThirdEye Drone A Watchful Friend with a Wrathful Arsenal Name • CZ ThirdEye-class reconnaissance-offensive auxillary combat drone Classification • Drone Origin • Czerka Arms Specifications Size • How big is this thing? Give rough estimates in metric measurements (meters) - Height: 5 inches (inactive) / 10 inches (Observation) / 10 inches (Active Combat) - Width: 5 inches (inactive) / 10 inches (Observation) / 25 inches (Active Combat) - Length: 10 inches (inactive) /15 inches (Observation) / 20 inches (Active Combat) Appearance • The CZ ThirdEye-class reconnaissance-offensive auxiliary combat drone is a boxlike, repulsor-driven, drone with an adjustable multi-visual lens to enable a myriad of options for a live tactical overview of the battlefield. Data uplink is achieved by a variety of antennae located at the bottom of the drone. The gunmetal grey color has been described by Czerka Arms psychological warfare analysts as ‘psychologically disturbing to the opposition while honestly quite cool looking to allies.’. The shell of the ThirdEye itself is largely smooth, aerodynamic and without easy purchase for a determined individual to pry open. In full combat mode, the shell blooms open, shedding it’s facade of civilian-grade technology to reveal an array of blasters at it’s side and a set of eight micro-missile launchers positioned at the top of the drone. Function Designed as a mobile antipersonnel auxiliary drone, the ThirdEye has two specific functions. The first function is to serve as passive reconnaissance for Czerka approved forces on the ground. More specifically, in this mode, the ThirdEye may, as the name suggests, serve as a third eye to transmit live visual data onto a receiving monitor or directly into the processing core of droids linked up with the ThirdEye system. In the case of the latter, this tactical data can be linked into the droid’s targeting computer, resulting in an exponentially increased degree of accuracy. The second function is to serve as auxiliary and supporting fire for Czerka approved forces on the ground. To accomplish this, the ThirdEye has been designed into two variants. The first involves a blaster only configuration which can batter the enemy at range with an array of bolts; This version is relatively light owing to the weightless quality of it's munitions, and is most effective at medium to short range with increasing degrees of accuracy degradation as distance increases. The second variant involves a host of mini-missiles designed to shred and eliminate the offending target of choice. These missiles come in a variety of submunitions and while they are quite capable of eliminating targets from significant range, they are not nearly as mobile as their blaster counterparts. While initial attempts to ensure that only Czerka-brand munitions may fit into the missile slots of the ThirdEye, it is with great regret that Czerka had discovered that they did not, in fact, manufacture such munitions, and as such the ThirdEye can uncharacteristically accept any type of mini-missile munitions as appropriate. To ensure maneuverability and flexibility, the ThirdEye is lined with reinforced plastisteel, enough protection to ensure the droid be light enough for sustained flight (up to three hours at a time, with a functional operating range of 500 meters from slaved droid/human operator) but also able to withstand several blaster bolts while in it’s observation mode. However, once switched to active auxiliary, the more vulnerable sections of the droid is open to fire, should an assailant be foolish enough to brave the storm of blaster fire and exploding munitions that follow. A modest virtual intelligence akin to an astromech droid is included in the deluxe version of the ThirdEye package. The Deluxe version includes a thank you note from the head of development, the aforementioned virtual intelligence, a bottle of champagne from the finest vineyards of Telos, a small armory of Czerka Arms branded merchandise and a repair kit from which to maintain your new deadly little friend* *Czerka Arms notes that the CZ ThirdEye-class reconnaissance-offensive auxillary combat drone has been specially designed to only accept the specific screws and authorization devices of Czerka Arms branded hardware/software. Czerka Arms remarks that adjustment and modification of standard Czerka Arms hardware will result in a fine of at least 10 million credits or 125% of the drone’s current market value, whichever is higher. Czerka Arms reiterates that the drone has been designated as non-sentient, and that attachment to one’s ThirdEye is not only foolishly sentimental, but degrading to the ThirdEye’s inherent desire and purpose to exterminate life.
