Gork Gork Alphas Tanala Adoptable: yes! Besalisk - Rank 2 - Jovial, steadfast companion and soft-hearted ruffian Gork was born poor, on Coruscant. Like many from his station, he resorted to a life of petty crime and general hoolagonery to pass the time and pay the bills. By his late adolescence, he was arrested by CorSec, and he opted to enlist in the Republic Army rather than be sent to prison. Gork doesn't talk much about the army, but he certainly put his spare limbs to use as an enlisted infantryman. He didn't like killing people, but he liked being part of a family. His squadron cared about him, and he cared about them. Bas isn't much sure what all happened in the army because Gork, again, doesn't like talking about it. He does like to cook, and to party. He and Bas made a natural pair, becoming acquainted by chance at a party on Raltiir. Gork, since leaving the service, had more or less returned to his previous life of general hoodratery, and as a consequence became involved in the college kid-fuelled blue spice trade on Raltiir. He and Bas became partners at first, but soon became fast friends, rooming together for a couple years before they bounced from Raltiir. He is Bas' friend, and in many ways, despite his innocent, almost-child like amiability, the grown-up in the room. He's the one who holds Bas' hair when he's had too much, and he's he one who makes sure he gets up in time to take care of business. Bas can handlehimself in a fight nowadays, but he's far from imposing, so Gork fills that role more often than not. Despite being altogether kind, he is fiercely protective of Bas, who he views as his best of friends. The feeling is mutual, and Bas helps the sometimes naive Gork navigate the gritty underside of the galaxy. From his time in the Army, Gork is a crack-shot, specializing in wielding four heavy blaster pistols or slugthrowers simultaneously and providing cover for Bas so he can close in and fight in melee. More often though, his great size and menacing aesthetic are enough to diffuse any confrontations they might have. He is also an excellent cook, and takes great pains, sometimes vainy, to make Bas eat well and gain some weight. Being involved in one way or another with spice his entire civilian life, Gork is also Bas' go to in identifying and modifying narcotic substances. |
