Technology Name concept here Name • Electroblade Classification • Weapon Origin • Galactic Republic Specifications Size • Roughly about 0.85 meters - Height: Varies from the the handle to the blade - Width: 32mm - Length: 85 cm (overall), 60 cm (blade length) Appearance • The electroblade was designed to aid and support trained units while minimizing the cost as much as possible. Although the blade is made up of Phrik, cost saving measures can be seen in its largely simple and unrefined design. Though generally meant to be used as any sword would, the handle showcases a number of cutouts along its length that allows one to peer into the modified power cells inside. The weapon sports a full tang, although this too has its cutouts cleverly made to allow for the design, while featuring focusing rods that lead into the cell. When desired, a simple mechanism in the form of a button is activated, allowing a purple electrical current to run along the length of the blade. The electrical current is not terribly damaging unless exposed to it for prolonged periods of time or if pressed against vital areas. Still, caution is advised as they are likely to produce great pain. The weapons are meant primarily to be used as a sword would, with the added benefit of being able to withstand and defend against lightsaber attacks. Due to how close the electrical current is to the handle, the weapon is usually given to trained individuals, though a handful of these Electroblades have been spotted in the black market for a reasonably hefty sum. Function It will work as a sword is meant to, that means to cut, slash and stab. Beyond that, the phrik construction of the blade and its electrical design allows it to whistand far better and for longer hits from lightsabers. If desired, the electrical shock produced by the blade can be used as a form of torture by inducing pain. However, the electrical shocks by themselves are not lethal unless extremely prolonged exposure is caused to already weakened vital areas. |
