Blastsword Diplomacy
Adumar has long maintained an official position of neutrality between the Republic and Empire. We’d like to see that continue, as the Adumari are usually more concerned with their own affairs than that of the greater Galaxy. However, we fear the Adumari nations, in a rare moment of collective unity, appear to be drifting toward the Sith Empire. We cannot allow diplomatic lapses during this crucial time.
We have arranged for a diplomatic team, with Jedi accompaniment, to go to the world and meet with the monarchs of several of its nations. Even if the whole of their governments cannot be persuaded to veer away from the Sith, convincing enough of them may create a deadlock and maintain the world’s status quo neutrality. Notably, lords Regis Serkiv and Tulan Fel, who were instrumental in organizing this endeavor, seem either particularly open to our overtures or wary of the Sith advances. Determining which may go a long way toward success.
However, diplomacy with the Adumari will be tricky. They have a rocky history with the Republic, and their entire society is predicated on ideals of honor and victory over one’s foes — to say nothing of their love of blastsword duels. Tread carefully when dealing with them.
Finally, Lord Fel has warned of a ‘dark’ influence that seems to be pulling strings behind the scenes. Your primary objective will be, of course, strengthening our diplomatic ties to this world, but with Jedi in tow, it’s worth looking into this rumor.
