When I createdmy character, I checkedout a lot of, both pending and accepted characters, to learn the rules. I noticed that the mods have a tendancy of not wanting to accept poorly written bio's. While the story might be clear, spelling mistakes are often asked to be corrected before the player is allowed to start playing. We can all agree that, since this RP isin english, all bio's and so on should be written in English, and everyone who's apartof this community should be gratefull for a chance to learn something about the language we use. BUT, I still think it would be better to allow people to start RP'ing before all the corrections take place, because it can take weeks before everytihng is fixed.

Well, usually these corrections are placed along side changes required for the content of the bio. For example, in my case, I don't really go though and purposefully point out all the errors, maybe if they're constantly not capitalizing proper nouns perhaps, but for the most part I try not to pick out every error, I'll simply tell them to look over the piece with a spell checker or try reading it through again.
I only really tell them to change thing directly when it is a grammatical error, for example sentences not making sense, simply because this could then lead to misunderstandings and the like.
I have to say that I'm against this idea, I understand your reasoning, but I believe that until a mod is entirely happy with the profile (and this is shown with the acceptance of said profile) then the person should not be able to rp with that character.
Basically, in the end this all comes down to personal preference, I know that PSF was a lot more strict on spelling than I was.

Until you have done this i cannot approve this. Let me know when it has been altered.

... Alright, good one Iota. I was using a laptop that has a more or less broken space bar that doesn't function in the right side. Or was it left? It seems so, when I look at the sentences that wen't bad.
I do see your point, especially with the grammer Jenno. But spelling mistakes, I still think should be set as second priority.
Well, if you gotta point out an error or mistake, because it could lead to a misunderstanding, you might aswell also just point out everything else while at it. But I saw a few cases where spelling mistakes was the only thing that needed correction, so why not just allow the person to RP and then tell him to get his errors corrected ASAP? Maybe, give him two weeks to correct, and then you go over it again. If he fails to do so, it certainly shows a lack of enthusiasm, and the character could be moved to inactive. Just a suggestion...
