Barj leaned towards the plasma shielded window of the massive Munnlist central shipyard. He watched calmly as the crews continued working on the newest of the furys half completed in the open space dock as he waited for his communications officer to contact him with news. He pushed back from the window with both his arms as the large comunication panel crackled to life and the familiar smooth feminine voice of his communications officer's voice came though. "Sir, we've sent the messages out, but we still haven't had any replies."
"Thank you captain Theial, keep mesa posted on any contacts." Barj sighed as he finished speaking always when he most hated to he had to wait.
"Of course Admiral."

Jade had been sitting in his ready room when his communications officer appeared on the screen before him. Sighing dramatically at being interrupted in his paperwork, Jade looked up.
Yes?
Sir, there's a communication for you from Muunilist. Would you like to receive it now?
Jade used one hand to rub the side of his head lightly before answering.
Yes, of course. I assume it's from one of our own?
Yes sir.
Fine, bring it up.
Jade sighed again as the screen went blank. Not long after a short message came up from what appeared to be a gungan officer. Well, at least the sith were equal opportunity employers it seemed...though this didn't particularly thrill Jade any. It seemed like the man was calling for a meeting of some kind on Muunilist, but the details were sketchy at best. Giving a small 'hm' sound, Jade reclined in his chair, debating on if he should leave his current position or not. Deciding not, he adjusted his uniform, and paged his communications officer.
Jarles. Open a communication with this link.
The man nodded and opened the channel.
This is Rear-Admiral Jade Borgonia of the Pendragon. I wish to speak to Kij-Dij Barj...

"Sir" Barj's eyes snapped open as he straighted up in his seat.
"Yes, Theial?"
"We've gotten a reply from a, rear-admiral Jade Borgonia I'm sending his records to you."
"hmm, thank you go ahead and patch them-sa though." Barj quickly scanned the records of this R-admiral Borgonia as the humans face appeared on the large screen Barj intently turned his eyes towards the man.
"Ah, Rear-Admiral Borgonia I assume you've received my message, yes?"

Jade nodded as he gazed at the gungan through red eyes. An elegant eyebrow raised slightly and he seemed to be studying the man on the opposite side of the screen from him.
Yes, I did. Unfortunately I doubt I'll be able to attend, unless it's via communications relay as I'm currently orbiting Nar Shaddaa.
There was a slight pause as Jade thought of what to say next. He had a few questions, but only one that really mattered at this particular moment.
Just what is this meeting about, however? The message was rather distorted and undefinable.
The brunette blinked slightly, his demeanor one of a strict military upbringing and calm patience that covered a wealth of secrets beneath.

Barj meet Jade's red eyed glaze with his yellow carefully considering his words before he spoke.
"Ah, yes I assumed some of us would not be capable of attending this gathering at least not in a timely manner so of course communications or a envoy would be more than acceptable, but I can hear how that is not your most pressing question."
Barj sighed as he leaned back and grabbed a near by cup of herbal tea in his clawed hand.
"This get together was prompted by our overall inept capitalization on our previous victory and a need to get on with our offensives before we lose all momentum. In short this meeting is to decide on the next course of action which in my opinion should be a full assault on the republic."

Jade blinked slightly. Well, now this was interesting to say the least.
Very well, expect me to attend via communications. I believe I may have some useful information for you about the Republic defenses. Just when should I expect to be at this 'meeting' then?

"Yes I suppose you might have so information pertinent to it."
Bajr took a slow sip of tea. "I'm not exactly sure when we will began so far you are the only one of my peers to appear I will have my communications officer contact you when you need to make a appearance."

Jade nodded simply and smirked a bit at some humor he found in the situation.
Very well. I'll see if I can contact any of the others as well. Perhaps between the two of us we can get something done.
He stated with mild interest.

Jade chuckled slightly and nodded.
You are correct. Do you remember that dark Jedi who was causing such a ruckus on Manaan? The one who was killing or destroying our men's minds? Supposedly he's here. They..."asked"...me to come take a look.
Personally, I think it's a wild goose chase, but on the other hand, if I find him, he might be a great asset to us.
With that Jade shrugged slightly. No one could say he was lying, since indeed he was there for that very reason.

""they" ordered you who are they?"
Barj's suspicions were peaked at these statements.
"I know of no they who could give you orders much less of a Dark jedi on Manaan."

Jade made no motion that he cared one way or the other about the gungan's suspicions of him.
Vice Admiral Togath and Admiral Heldburg. As for the dark jedi on Manaan, the only reason I knew of it prior to my deployment to Nar Shaddaa, was because of my time in the Republic. He supposedly destroyed the headquarters there as well as leaving a trail of bodies, minus their sanity, along the way.
Jade waited patiently to see if there were any other "questions" he might need to answer. The gungan was smarter than he had at first been given credit for, but Jade was quite aware that he was suspicious of him, so he wasn't caught off guard.

"Taking orders from a pair of fools, it's nice to know you humor them."
Bajr let a light smirk cross his face before he continued.
"Well, seeing as you have a dangerous Dark Jedi possibly on your hands I will dispatch a squad trained to fight jedi out of my entourage to you."

Do as you will Sir, though I do believe they wanted him alive. If your people can do that, then I have no qualms. I just don't want to be blamed by them for anything that might go wrong.
Jade stated simply, shrugging his shoulders. Internally, he was cursing up a veritable storm, but on the outside as smirk flitted about his face as if he truly didn't care one way or the other. He just didn't want to have Aunna hurt in the crossfire.
Perhaps while you're at it you could find out more about where this character is? I was giving next to no information. If that's not to much to ask, that is...
He added politely...or it seemed polite anyway.

"oh, I will find out." barj muttered under his breath to himself.
"You will find my men are determined, well trained, and free of error they will be there within the week. Good bye, Rear-Admiral."
He said hovering his hand over the controls for the comm net for a few seconds before turning it off and changing the channel.
"Colonel, I want you to get my twelve best and most loyal jedi hunters and have them briefed on the mission dossier I'll send you within the hours I want this rear-admiral, Jade Borgonia observed and this Dark jedi brought to me if they are captured alive."

Jade nodded and waited for the link to be severed. No doubt he was going to be watched by these "men" from Barj. He just couldn't have that now, could he? If it was cut-throat Barj wanted, it was cut-throat he would get....and he had a week to prepare.
The Necromancer wasted no time.

Ah, blissful silence. Not the never-ending noise of the city, not the plotting and scheming of his current partners, and not the constant ribbing from Omen. The man was a natural-born nuisance, he could have sworn. Just didn’t know when to shut up, it seemed.
“Joker?”
…I hate that man.
”Hey, ya need to hear this.”
”Mmph.”
“Oi!”
Suddenly, he was roused as a scaly appendage impacted the base of his skull. He lifted his head slowly from the table it had recently been resting on, rubbed his eyes, and straightened his back. He turned slightly and exchanged a glare with the Falleen sitting behind him, before turning his hostile eyes upon the human sitting across from him, staring into a data terminal. ”This had better be important, or I’ll make sure you never reproduce, Omen.”
”Hey, don’t shoot the messenger…” The man pushed a small communication terminal across the table. ”You got a call.”
Vos stared blankly at the man for several seconds. ”…eh? From who?”
”Ha. He thinks I know. That’s cute. No wonder they gave you Joker.” Omen immediately remembered who he was talking to and snapped his mouth shut. Too late. Far too late. Vos pitched the contents of the mug sitting beside him across the table, saturating the man from the neck up in cold, burnt caf laced with some unidentifiable alcohol. He spluttered and wiped his eyes.
”Saw that coming.”
”Waste of good caf.”
”Good?”
”Point taken. Throw the rest of it at him, will ya'?”
The Kiffar muttered a curse as he grabbed the terminal and made his way out of the small main room of the inn and into the bedroom. He locked the door, set the terminal down, flipped his signal jammer on, and pressed the Receive button. ”Go.”
“Secure channel Echo Delta Six Six Niner One Eleven Four, code Lima Two-Seven. Red Spring, over.”
Vos muttered something under his breath and sank in his chair, spending the next thirty seconds of his life reciting code back and forth with the disembodied voice. ”Alright, what the hell’s going on, boss? I am kind of, you know, in the field at the moment.”
“Feel like attending a meeting of high-ranking personnel on Muunilist?”
Again, Vos stared blankly at the screen for a few seconds. ”…and what would possess me to do such a thing? First off, you know how I feel about big rankers. I’m also on assignment, from you, I might add. Oh, and let’s not forget that I’m on Tatoo-fracking-ine getting a nice sunburn!”
“Non-negotiable, ‘Joker’. Intel Div wants a man at the meeting, and you’re the best candidate. You’re also within comm’s range of Muunilist, if we bounce the signal off the cruiser you came in on.”
”…I hate this job.”
“I know.”
”Fine. Anybody at this ‘meeting’ know who I am?”
“Current roster is unknown, but none should. You’ll know anybody that knows you. If anybody there that you don’t know is aware of your identity, cut comm’s-“
”-immediately and contact you, I know the drill.”
“Good. You’d better hope nobody there has access to any information on you, or that means we have a leak. I don’t need to tell you what that means. Linking you to Muunilist; you’re looking for Admiral Kij-Dij Barj. Out.”
”Barj…right.” Vos sighed as he leaned forward and opened the channel to Muunilist. He was nearly immediately greeted with the face of a fresh young face, probably straight out of school, sitting behind a communications terminal. It took him a second to realize why the kid was looking at him like some bum on the street.
It was because he looked like one. Sleep-deprivation, lack of proper bathing routines, sand, and crawling through ventilation ducts tended to do that to you. He rubbed the week’s worth of hair lining his jaw. ”Field Operative Thirty-Eight Eighty-Six, codename ‘Joker’, clearance level eight, authorization Gamma Zero One Eight Echo Niner Five, Rite of Winter, long-distance communication intended for Admiral Kij-Dij Barj, over.”
”I’ll have to verify that. Hold on.”
”Excuse me?” Vos leaned in close to the screen and fixed the face inside it with a homicidal glare. ”Unless protocol has changed in the past few months, I believe the proper way to refer to a ranking officer is sir, you little prick! Damn FNG’s, straight out of your momma’s lap, think you own the world just because you’ve got your little stripes…are you looking at me funny, Lieutenant? What in the name of the Void are you still sitting there gawking for?! Close that big mouth of yours and get back to work, before I file a complaint with your superior! What the hell is taking you so long?! I could have flown to Muunilist by now! Are you just completely inept?!? I swear, if I wasn’t half a galaxy away, I’d have throttled you by now!”
Internally, Vos was very glad he was more than just exceptional at keeping his emotions hidden, or he would have burst out laughing by now at the look on the junior officer's face. Poor kid.

Bajr looked over the hand picked troops before him. At first glance they looked like a lowly security detail standing there in light padded armor and a wide assortment of mostly projectile weaponry. These where his "jedi hunters" just finishing their briefing with barj and his colonel. Arglos was just going over the finale equipment as they prepared to board the Splinter when a young officer ran up to him.
"Admiral Sir, you've got a priority encoded transmission for you." the young man puffed.
"Return to your post." barj payed the man little mind as he turned to the soldiers. "Good luck on your mission, I expect your first report soon." he tossed a brief salute before turning and going to the ready room on board the Blood-Moon. As he slowly lowered his aging and sore body into the seat and opened the terminal before him he once more took up a cup of tea taking a slow sip from it before typing his access cold before waiting on the sender to began speaking.

"Sir?"
"Yes...? Spit it out, kid."
"Uh...you've been cleared, Sir. Admiral Barj is waiting. Routing you to him now, Sir."
"Well it's about damn time...I'll be watching you, Lieutenant. Have a nice shift."
Vos pressed a button, switching channels. Instantly, his demeanor changed from that of a glowering, slightly crazed officer to the over-worked, burned out, dirty, used and abused field agent he really was. He stared at the screen with empty, bloodshot eyes and a fatigued face, one hand resting on a near-empty cup of caf. At least, he hoped it was caf, though he wasn't entirely convinced. It smelled more like a wet bantha, and tasted worse.
"Admiral Barj." He nodded solemnly, physical and mental exhaustion lacing his words, and rubbed the bridge of his nose. The layer of synth-flesh and makeup that concealed his facial tattoos, while useful, itched. Just another irritation in a job chock-full of them. "My name is Joker, for the time being, though that is subject to change in the near future. I'm a field operative for the Intelligence Division-"
He brought his hand up slightly, shaking his head. "And...no, not Sith Intelligence. Those twits at SI wouldn't know 'intelligence' if it came up and bit 'em in the ass. Intelligence Division. Separate entity altogether, though most people seem to be blissfully unaware of that..." The Kiffar leaned back in his chair and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Anyways. Word has reached my superiors' ears of a meeting you've called. I don't know what it's about, and I don't know why, but I've been ordered to attend. I am a long way from Muunilist at the moment, however, so I won't be able to be there in person, but orders are orders, Sir. SID wants me to attend."
"Oh, and I might as well save you the trouble, Sir. You don't need to waste your time running a check on me, no matter your clearance. They burned my files a long time ago. Only thing left in there is my badge number, my clearance level, and a set of confirmation codes. Don't even have a name any more."

Admiral Bajr leaned forward and took a long sip of the pale pea green colored tea in his hands as his old and abused joints groaned in protest. Barj let a small smirk slide onto his face. "You assume I would use the normal channels joker" Barj sighed and took another drink from his cup before continuing. "You are right however that I have called a meeting of our officers." Bajr stopped as his suspicions turned to the professed intelligence officer. "Just who are your superior's Joker and how am it to know your even who you say you are?"
